I am not the biggest person when it comes to buffets, but I will be returning to this buffet! Such good arabi/mediterranean food! Been on the hunt for tasty arabi food since moving to Austin and this is the place! It's clean and self serve which makes it easy for casual days. The chicken, kefta and kabob are so good and prepared fresh. Definitely must get the cauliflower as well! They even serve mansaf depending on the day and time. It tastes as good as the photos look.

Moving clockwise: Greek salad, cabbage salad, hummus, avocado hummus, Baba Ghanoush, tabouli, fattoush, & a stuffed grape leaf in the middle

I'm not usually a buffet person but Dimassi's is the one place I'll make an exception because they have delicious food, it's clean, and it's reasonable priced. Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet always has a special place in my heart because they were one of the few places we could find open during the snow and ice storm in February of 2021 that shut down Austin (we were visiting from out of town and were stuck with no food). This was our first visit back after 3 years since moving here and loved it just as much! You pay on the way out so you're able to walk in and join the buffet line right away! There's plenty of hand sanitizer available and you get a fresh plate with each visit. They didn't come by to collect used plates from our table but we were also there not too long before closing. The pricing varies depending on the day and time you visit but even the most expensive pricing on Friday and weekend nights is reasonable at $23.99 per person for all you can eat with the appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks. Here are some of my favorite items: Pita bread (thicker than most traditional pita breads which I LOVE) Baba Ghanouge Avocado hummus Rice with lentils Cauliflower Lemon potatoes Gyro meat (use a pita to make a gyro with the cucumber mint yogurt sauce... so good!) Baklava (I usually don't love baklava because it's so sweet but this one was great) If you want a great selection of Mediterranean food and the ability to indulge in as much as you want, you can't beat Dimassi's! I already can't wait to go back and will continue to recommend it to others.

Buffet deliciousness!!!

Great place. All the food was fresh and very good. There were a lot of protein, vegetable and fruit options. A drink was included with the buffet. The owner was actively participating in running the business, not just telling people what to do. My elderly mother came with us (a group of 9) but wasn't feeling good. I asked if she could get the childrens menu, or maybe something ala carte to hold her over. The owner said, "it was on the house tonight." Wow. We definitely felt welcomed and enjoyed everything about our dining experience.

Prior Receipt with pricing per lb. Now they want to charge Falafel by piece. Ridiculous!

We used to like this place, but under the new management, everything has gone south. - Place has become filthy with sticky tables, flies over the food, odor in restaurant, and felt very unhygienic. - Pricing for boxed food changes on day-to-day basis. Few days ago, they were charging $9.99/lb,then became $12.99/lb, today pricing was on a piece basis. I even showed them their receipt from last week and the person at the counter said that last 2 times their staff made a mistake and now we have to pay higher price. - Staff indicated that Falafel are made in the same oil as other meat dishes which I didn't appreciate. Suffice to say that I would not recommend Dimassis to anybody. I would rather go to Almarah Grill on 620 and 183.

Mediterranean. Buffet. What a concept - but Dimassi's surprised me in a good way. The short: All you can eat pretty solid Mediterranean food for $19.47 (plus tip) - an excellent deal. No, it's not the fanciest facility, but yes the value is there. The highlights: there's a whole buffet dedicated to accompaniments, another for meat / entree, and one for desserts. This is a great place if you are following an eating plan like keto but still want to eat a lot of food. The hummus & garlic dips were incredible. The meats that I had were all mostly good. The baklava was decent, a little sugar forward. The rose water was interesting (like drinking what potpourri smells like but sweet?). Worth the price. The non-highlights: the parking lot is a little hard to find. the bathrooms are not super well maintained. not every food item is great (didn't love every dip, some of the veggies were still a bit raw...but others were cooked well and had a nice char in the same container, the pasta hadn't been refreshed in a bit so it was cold). The ice machine ran out of ice at the end of our meal. They didn't have the lamb shanks (but to be fair, it was a Wednesday night). Glad I got to try this, and would go back for the price or garlic dip alone

Average quality Mediterranean food. It's good for when the kids are really hungry and we need decent food fast.

Combining that with the Egyptian spices makes for such a unique, delicious experience. I don't really see an argument against having them in the S tier of Austin bbq I've been pleasantly surprised at how short the lines generally are when I come. Even on weekends around lunchtime I don't think I've had more than a 20 minute wait. The lamb chops do tend to run out fairly quickly and I have had a few visits where some other items are out. If you're dead set on those coming closer to late morning is probably the move. The space is fantastic, given the volume of people visiting here doesn't go up dramatically. Theres plenty of tables, the brewery has solid beer options, and it's one of the few brewery type spaces in Austin that will consistently have games on. If they ever get the level of attention their quality deserves, this goes out the window. The line area does not have room for a franklins/interstellar type line. My guess is they'll eventually go the brick and mortar route. Overall I can't recommend this spot enough!

I was prepared to splurge, since it was my birthday, and I picked a Michelin rec. But I was immediately struck by how reasonably priced everything was. We went all in. We ordered brisket, sausage, lamb bacon ribs, the Egyptian Cowboy, hummus, and that special pink potato salad. The portions were great, even ordering the smallest serving sizes when given a choice. The food was fantastic. I really don't know what else to say. It absolutely deserves its incredible reputation, and it honestly might be the best bang for your buck in TX BBQ. The atmosphere is really cool too. They're stationed outside of Oddwood brewing and shares seating. The outdoor and indoor seating are both very nice. Oddwood also has some great retro arcade games. It makes for a great afternoon or evening out.

Austin Restaurant Week takes place from August 28th through September 13th. First stop...Rollin Smoke BBQ, located in the Chalmers building, which filled with a crowd of people. I ordered a pull pork sandwich, mac-n-cheese and banana pudding. The pulled pork sandwich was huge, which I shared with the hubs. Quite honestly, I was full after eating 1/4 of the sandwich, which had cabbage, pickles and of course the pork (not the typical stringy pork but chunks of pork bursting with smokey flavor). The mac-n-cheese was substantial with cheese filled shell pasta with a hint of a smokey flavor. So yummy...Well, I might have eaten "all" the banana pudding. This was not your typical banana pudding (dense and flavorful). I certainly understand why they run out of this dessert. Service was superb! Great dining experience...

I order a very nice lite afternoon snack, 1/2 lb of Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends, 1 Pork Sparerib, and a side of Boozy Brussels. The Prime Pork Belly Burnt Ends which are tossed in bourbon sauce and smoked again for a tender meat candy-like finish which was quite to the contrary, not overbearingly sweet, just a hint. The first time that I went to Rollin' Smoke, I wanted to order the Pork Spareribs but they weren't available so that's when I was introduced to the Pork Belly Burnt ends so today, I ordered just 1 Pork Sparerib today which was good but not great, sadly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boozy Brussel Sprouts which were smoked and flashed fried, a balsamic glaze with whiskey soaked raisins and parmesan. I am definitely returning to check out the Half Chicken Plate with 2 small sides that I eyeballed.
