I am a bit belated in posting my review, something I had intended to do last July. Though now I think my timing is perfect as I hope to counteract that last review. We couldn't have been more pleased. Louie Sr. came right out to measure, make a drawing, and give us an estimate in the same visit. His price was literally a third of one of the BIG hardware stores in town. We were looking to add to existing fencing to fully enclose our yard. I asked for an additional estimate to replace a 80 foot plus section which had a bad lean and was green. He gave me a separate estimate, but he told me they could just straighten it out for us and we could paint it black to match the new sections of fencing. HE SAVED US OVER A $1000! And I got to say the old section came out great! Like I said, Lou was great to work with and his crew was fantastic! They got the fence done in a timely manner, but didn't rush it. They measured and used the level often and were really nice to boot! They even let our, then, almost 4 year old "work" beside them, when it was safe. I am a woman and was the only person in our family to work with this company, I never once felt condescended to. I feel like Rock Cut would do a great job for anybody. I never thought I could get excited over chain link, but every time I walk by our VERY SOLID black chain link fence I am so pleased! And now I have finally told the (Yelp) world!

"A Better Finish" is "A No Finish." This contractor walked away from a project, leaving behind…read moreunfinished rooms, crooked, unusable sheetrock, gaps everywhere, wrong board on bathroom walls and floors. New contractor needs to redo large portions of their work. They provided an estimate of a budget that they blew through by nearly a double. They signed a contract saying the project would take a handful of weeks. And here we are, many months later... and "A Better Finish" walked off the job. They are a disgrace to their profession. If you, after reading this comment, choose to hire this contractor, do yourself a favor and make sure they are never ahead of you financially because THEY WILL NOT COMPLETE their work. They will overcharge and they will underdeliver. They will blow through your budget with no remorse. Just as long as they get paid handsomely, daily. They turned a promising home and art studio that were supposed to bring joy to people who hired them... into an unfinished shell of despair.
