UPDATED: After my original review, Josh contacted me directly, came out to inspect the driveway, and addressed the cracking concerns by filling the cracks and taking the time to explain his perspective regarding the seal coating materials that had been used by another company. While I was initially frustrated by the communication and felt my concerns were being dismissed, I do appreciate that he ultimately responded, came out personally, and worked toward a solution rather than ignoring the issue entirely. He also offered a reasonable option to repair the plow damage at the road and reseal the driveway. I still believe the initial communication could have been handled better from the beginning, but I also believe it's only fair to update my review now that an effort was made to address the concerns. read more

If you are looking for someone who stands behind their work Joshua Paving is not it. About 14 months after sealing a new driveway they resurfaced, it looks faded and their proposed solution was to reseal it for $$425. read more

Reliable, moderately priced, and came a couple of days after giving the estimate. They were efficient and neat.

1 year after my driveway paved, it's started to sink along where my car pulls in and out. When brought to the attention of Joshua Paving, they immediately started to blame me for it, before they even came out to look at it. They actually told me that I shouldn't park in my driveway. Although they offer a 2 year warranty, they didn't honor it. They blamed me saying my driveway doesn't drain properly, which is BS. I couldn't recommend them less. read more

I can't express you how incredibly impressed we are with the job these guys did. So much faster than we expected, the edges are all perfect and beautiful, they did exactly what we wanted in a little incline area by the garage, and there's no more pooling in the rain. With all that, the price was 20- 40% lower than our other estimates . We can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Negative experience working with this company. First, let me say that the original sales guy, Ken S., is kind, reasonable and did his best to be responsible. The pavers themselves are also skilled and respectful guys. But they have no power. Everything goes through the owner, Daniel. And, unfortunately, there's something wrong with the management and organizational structure of this company. The absolute worst organization and communication. I've worked with several companies in the area on similar sized household projects (J and E Roofing, Advantage Insulation, Lowe's Plumbing, all great experiences, great companies-- and all of those had at least one knowledgeable admin/support staff person to set, confirm and change appointments and to generally ensure smooth functioning of the job). This company does not confirm work days or times, the leadership does not communicate properly with the work crews (I had a crew show up in the pouring rain at 1 pm one day, ready to start work when I'd never even heard they were planning to come at all. I had to send them away myself, as rain is not an acceptable weather option for repaving jobs!). That was one of many times they failed to communicate key information to me. A simple driveway paving job took 7 weeks to complete from when I first met with the salesman when I was told it would be 2 weeks, give or take. We were very often unlucky with rainy days and that's not at all their fault but it was a company that made me feel like I was their last priority. Ensuring timely and clear communication with the customer was not on this owner's radar, in my experience. Looking at their contract agreement, there is literally not one line in there about the company's responsibilities to the customer. The clauses only contain info about what the customer should not expect and should not be entitled to, which I think says a lot about their ethos. They also installed (twice) a company advertising sign on my lawn containing a reference to a verse of the Bible without asking me. It's inappropriate not to ask. Again, nice workers, driveway looks nice, but it was so much more complicated than it needed to be and would have appreciated more respect for my time as a paying customer. read more

Josh came out the day after I called for an estimate. He came out that day and gave me options for the driveway; simply a coating, a 2" top to what I had or tear it out and replace it. He priced each option and gave me the time to think it through and make my decision - which was to tear out the driveway and replace it. They were here the following Monday. If there was a delay, Josh called me, if I had a question he answered me - and I thank heavens for even just that - since I have had almost NO ONE that I've called for any type of service to ever call me back. They treat their customers well. The guys came out and I've never seen such an amazing team of people working together, each knowing his job and getting it done to perfection. There was a small issue with a piece of equipment, and they didn't leave me. They waited until a part came, they fixed it and finished the project, even though it now ran past 6:00 pm. They were kind, professional, they cleaned up after themselves, and they did an freakin' amazing job. It's beautiful! I'm scheduling them to do my daughter's driveway as well, and will see them next year for a coating. I can't say enough great things! THANKS GUYS! read more

Joshua paving did a great job paving my driveway. They came to my house very promptly after requesting an estimate, which they provided and was a good price. The driveway was removed completely, widened to accommodate two cars parked side by side. They were prompt, efficient and had great communication. I would definitely recommend! read more

They did a great job on my driveway I'd recommend for sure!!! They did some extra work per my hubbies request and they did everything asked

Prompt, reasonable, understanding, communicative and efficient. When we had called last year, we initially planned to get the entire driveway ripped out and repaved as one project. Other obligations took from our house project budget. We had to stop progress with the tear out and gravel base. We lived with the gravel for a year and had hoped to get one more year out of it BUT this summer of torrential rain made our driveway look like the Grand Canyon! We called Joshua once we realized that a tamper and some gravel wouldn't be enough. Joshua arrived soon after we called. He gave us a fair price. Joshua's employees are quick, polite, work efficiently and cleaned up the area well. Overall this was a good experience! read more

10/10 would recommend Joshua's paving! They did an amazing job completely repaving our driveway! From the very beginning, they were responsive and understanding! read more

We just had our driveway black topped today. 5 months ago we had Joshua Paving make our driveway wider. They did an excellent job. Today we had them blacktop and again they were awesome. Professional work, and all the worker's appeared like they were having a blast even though it was 93 degrees. The job was perfect and looked more beautiful than we could have imagined. All at an excellent price! I would highly recommend them! read more

Joshua paving did a fantastic job replacing my driveway they were friendly, neat and very fast I would recommend them to anyone they really know what they are doing and a great value read more

Very satisfied. They did exactly what had to done, at a very competitive price. Their finishing touches, such as edging of the blacktop, and the end of the driveway , were very clean looking. It's only been complete for 2 weeks. But thus far, we've been very pleased read more

Wow just Wow these guys came in to do my very long driveway yesterday 10/27/2022, and could not have been happier, the staff worked like a well oil machine, each person knowing what the next one was about to do, I enjoyed watching them transform my driveway in to something I am now proud of. From the estimate, to the completion, it was totally perfect, and easy. Highly recommend these guys 100 percent. thank you John from the Town Of Poughkeepsie. read more

These guys did an amazing job with my driveway. I can't even begin to say how pleased I am with their work. They came in, tore out the entire driveway, based it back in, and had the entire job done in less than a week. It looks amazing, and best of all, no more bottoming out at the of the driveway. They did fantastic work, and if you're considering replacing your driveway, I highly recommend their services! read more

Excellent service. Emailed them for a quote for blacktop sealing. Got a call 2 days later with a quote. Accepted and they called me promptly a day prior to coming to do the work. Took care in avoiding spraying plants, etc. Driveway looks great. Will use again definitely in the future. read more

I'm so pleased with how courteous & professional the paving crew was. Foreman Willy Jr and his team were so nice to deal with. They took great care to ensure the blacktop was installed efficiently & correctly. read more

Prompt, efficient and VERY particular about protecting surrounding property and vegetation. Just had driveway sealing done yesterday and the experience was perfection. Cost is fair and workers are professional. Thank you read more

So we had to re-pave our driveway, we knew it wasn't going to be cheap but Joshua paving came back with the lower quote than others and we decided to chose them, local, less money. They came and re-verified measurements the week before, and then we had rain on Monday, so it got pushed to Tuesday. Today came and I couldn't be more happy, they came around 830 and got right to work removing bad areas and cutting around our car port to make sure it was level. I'd say they were done about 2pm. Looks great! Can't wait to drive on it. Just an FYI for anyone that is going to resurface or replace their driveway is that you can't park on it for 3-4 days after, I didn't realize that and it was a bit of a surprise, with all the rain we've had the grass was very soft. I highly recommend them, they did good work!! read more

i'm highly suspicious of the veracity of the rave reviews shown here on Yelp. Nothing in my experience with Joshua Paving, Inc. would qualify for such glowing statements. The firm did a poor job of installing an asphalt driveway. One evidence of that is that the driveway turns into a wading pool with every rain. A call to Joshua Paving to complain was met with considerable disrespect, verging on abuse. I intend to take this matter further, starting with a complaint to AG's office and the BBB. read more

Not nice on phone when first called. And rude when coming to do estimate, overpriced for a small driveway! Attitude as soon as walking over to them and telling what I wanted! Unprofessional!!! read more

Overall, I'm very pleased with the work that Joshua Paving did for me. They paved my base driveway and added a section for an additional car. I did have some trouble scheduling the work date, but this was made up in spades by the quick and professional job that was done. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with, and although two other companies bailed on me when I requested quotes (so couldn't compare prices), I feel that Joshua Paving was very reasonably priced for the job done. I would highly recommend them. read more

They just finished our driveway. The professional crew of men and equipment this company provided has exceeded our expectations. From beginning of the estimate to putting up the caution tape at the end of the job. They went over the whole scope of the job and explained how much material was being placed and the proper pitch for water run off. Very satisfied with the job and highly recommended. The price was also AAA+ read more

Reasonable estimate, quick turn around time, and excellent work. Very happy with the job they did in digging up our old, dilapidated driveway and repaving into a beautiful 'new' driveway. Could not have been happier. Price, workmanship and speed to which he delivered when no one else returned my calls. Highly recommend.

Outstanding work on our potholed driveway. Fair pricing. Attention to detail. Will be contacting them again next year to blacktop the entire driveway. The workers were courteous and asked questions at every step. A truly class A business. read more

They did a fantastic job on my driveway. They were very professional and courteous. They came at the exact time they said they would be here, which in itself is a plus in my book. I would definitely recommend them. Also the price was so much better than other quotes I received. read more

I am happy with the service and follow up on my driveway being sealed. I got response right away if I texted, called or FB message. Someone came right away and gave me and estimate. As soon as I called to book the job, they came right away-NOTHING to do with them-they had to postpone a day due to down pour rain. (thankfully, so it didn't get washed away) They came and prepped my driveway in a timely fashion. There was NO overspray near my garages-NICE JOB well done. read more

Very Happy... here's why. In general, I am skeptical of pavers. I have had two other experiences with pavers and both were fairly bad. I wasn't sure what to expect with Joshua Paving. The reviews online were pretty good but his price was lower than others so I assumed they would skimp somewhere. In the end, the final outcome was great and I couldn't be happier. Jeff was the foreman on my project. Two other guys seemed to be the skilled labor who would spread out the material (one of their names was Alex). There were three other guys who drove the trucks and also brought the materials to where they needed to be dumped via wheelbarrow. They started around 10am and didn't finish until around 9pm. They all worked a hard long day. The guys looked a little rough around the edges but were professional, nice and respected my property. I took the day off work and got a chair and watched them work. They kept the pavement thick, even in the middle. They didn't play any games of thick on the edges and thin in the middle. They did have to come back the next morning to finish up a little near the road as they had run out of material and the plants were already closed. You can see the seam a little but it looks sturdy. Jeff promised a two year warranty. There were no surprises at the end when it was time to pay the bill... the final price is what he quoted me. Jeff listened to my concerns and checked in with me a few times to make sure I was happy. I don't know if Joshua Paving has multiple crews or not, but I know that Jeff and his team did a great job. If I notice anything goes wrong with the driveway over the next year, I'll make sure to come back and update my review. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend Joshua Paving. This job was a residential home driveway in New Paltz, NY completed in June 2018. read more

Joshua Paving - My new driveway... thanks Joshua Paving! - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Clintondale, New York

I called Joshua paving because I saw his signs while driving around the Hudson valley area. Figured since so many people seemed to be using them, they would be a good fit to me as well. I was completely wrong. The guy that came looked like a kid with bushy hair and acne. Spent 10 min walking back and forth in front of my house on the phone forever approaching me. Never once introduced himself or asked what I wanted done (my whole driveway was not getting paved). I felt like he thought he was doing me a favor by coming to my house. Whole situation was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I a female mind you had to ask all the questions regarding the scope of work the job entailed. All in all cheaper than other companies but not by much, definitely didn't not get s good feeling from this guy. Very sketchy. Maybe he's good at a simple seal job but not a dig up, repaving driveway that has issues. Good luck to anyone who takes this joker on!!!!!!! read more
