The food is always fresh and delicious and the service impeccable. The roast pork fry rice is the best I have ever had.

My husband and I just went to Dim Sum House in Clermont recently for lunch. The Dim Sum was... served fairly quickly and served beautifully. However, it would have been so much better if there was a sauce for anything! We had the steamed barbecue pork buns. They taste like sloppy joes. They aren't bad per se, but not what you might expect for Asian barbecue. We also tried the crabmeat dumpling, which were beautiful, but needed sauce. They were served with nothing! Not knowing, we tried the deep fried shrimp ball. Again, beautifully served, beautifully cooked, but no sauce... This is equivalent to fried shrimp - delicious, but without plum sauce, cocktail sauce, sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce... ANYTHING, it's impossible to eat. Also, just for kicks, we tried the fried pork dumpling. It was cooked to perfection, but without anything to dip it in, it was awful to choke down dry. Guys, your cooks are fantastic. WHY is there NOTHING served with your food?! When we asked, the waiter offered hot sauce. (Really?!!!!) So disappointing. Would not recommend until you figure it out. I have no idea what everyone else is talking about with their ratings. Our experience was terrible. Go to the ice cream shop next door. It deserves your business. Dim Sum house does not. Clearly, they don't have a clue and the waitstaff needs to be educated. read more

My wife and I have eaten at Dim Sum House several times since we moved to Clermont. Every time the service has been good and the food has been great. On occasion, we have had food from Dim Sum House delivered to our home. The food is still tasty, but, as you would expect, it is not a good as getting in fresh while eating-in. The ambience is nice. Comfortable and clean. Our favorite is their Sweet and Sour Chicken. The best we have had since leaving Southern California. Highly recommend Dim Sum House in Clermont. read more

I had the chicken and broccoli it was not hot when it came to my table and it had very little sauce on it the sauce was not very flavorful. I wanted General Tao chicken but it was not on the menu. My lunch Area food was not hot either. The service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a preexisting space and they have remodeled it with a modern open feel. This place confuses me as a customer. I have a very hard time placing reservations. I called two different times and was asked what day I wanted reservations. So, I said tonight and was told they're booked for two weeks. This was when they opened, so I assumed that it's during the opening stages. I am also not have to place reservations during the times they close between lunch and dinner. I also do not prefer calling to make these reservations, because whomever I'm speaking with seems upset that I'm seeking a reservation same day. About three months later, I ended up going for lunch when I stopped by with no reservation. I wasn't that impressed with the waiter. I was given four menus and each one had their own "code" to read. The Dim Sum menu is broken into different portion sizes, which made it hard for me to tell how much to order. The waiter didn't help me decide the portion sizes much at all. So I had to guess. The Chinese menu was more traditional and straightforward but I wanted to try the Dim Sum. I do wish the item were more descriptive or broken down in a way that I can visually digest. The food I received was fantastic and couldn't say better things about it. I just wished I knew what the food looked like before I ordered it. It's a smaller place and not as nice as I would like. It feels basic in terms of decor. Bland white table cloths and gold sharp chandeliers. I want to give it three stars at least for the food, but I don't like feeling the headache of, "Will there be an issue today?" when deciding if I'll go. Food is ok, made for western customers. Lunch plates are very little quantity. I had to order 2 dishes for myself. The shrimp and scallops had 2 pieces of scallops(1 big plitted in 2 pc) and 3 shrimps) . The shrimp and meat wonton soup was mostly meat and a couple tiny dices of shrimp. We picked up a takeout order, the house rice is pretty good but our Mongolian beef and orange chicken are not. The orange chicken has the texture chicken gets when it's microwaved and was kind of hard. I don't know but we also did not enjoy the flavor of the sauce. If you want to stop seating tables at 2, that's fine, but don't say you're open til 2:30. So this is the second time trying this restaurant and I am very impressed. Clermont is lucky to have this quality dim sum restaurant. The dim sum was very good. Standouts were the chive dumplings, Taiwanese soup dumplings, and the bbq baked buns. Nice that you order the dim sum without carts so everything comes out fresh and piping hot! Service was very good. It was nice and quiet for dim sum with nice music playing in the background. The first time I tried it was for dinner. They didn't have their liquor license yet but now they seem to. The standout that night was the chicken with black bean sauce. The salt and pepper shrimp was also very nice. Just "OK". Honestly nothing special. We got some of our favorite dishes for take out. The price was 50% higher for the same dish at many of the local places. The portion Was smaller than we normally receive and the quality was just OK, and nothing That would warrant an 50% variance in price. We decided to try it again when we heard that they started serving dim sum for dinner and we were very happy with the food. We were super excited for this place to open. This is the one style of food we desperately missed leaving California. Unfortunately, most of the dishes are geared towards the southern palate. Most dishes are too sweet. There is not a lot of traditional flavors. We ordered spicy Sichuan chicken and it was not spicy at all. Every time we go, there are less and less Asians eating there. That's a pretty good sign of the authenticity of the food.The service has been fine. The restaurant is pretty nice inside, but lightly decorated. We really hope the food quality improves. So for now, we will be make the extra drive into Orlando to get better quality dim sum. read more

We came in on a whim to the Dim Sum House in Claremont (having seen the new restaurant sign from the road) -- with much pleasure our first taste of the stuffed eggplant, shumai and the dry beef chow fun was very authentic -- we have become fans.
