Went twice. Never had more bland food no matter what sauce I put on it. Honestly it tasted like stuff straight out of the freezer, not fresh

Like dimsum and general tso chicken... they didn't give us soup spoon for dimsum but kinda late to ask for it and some dimsum was already tore in the bottom so soup was leaking through...which defeat the purpose of soup dumpling. And general tso chicken was average but the sauce was watery in the bottom. And weird fishy smell in water cup. I had to get different cup for it. Then it was better. Robot serving machine was serving food but the waiting staff put it on table for us. So i don't really know the purpose for the robot but it was fun. I've seen it in other restaurants Overall not bad experience but idk if I will visit again.

Usually there isn't a menu and numerous servers are pushing carts throughout the restaurant and explaining what they are offering. That's half the fun. You have a chance to sample all kinds of dishes, usually small bites and can order as many or as little as you like. Here you are ordering off a menu like any other restaurant. It's not a bad thing but it's really not Dim Sum. The menu is large with many great sounding dishes. They had Peking Duck that you don't see on many menus and it was delicious. Well worth a try for an above average Chinese restaurant. BYO

We ordered mango and lyche green tea and it was so fresh with a fresh lime on top and came in a convenient to go cup. I was so looking forward to this drink and it did not disappoint. This is an annual dinner held…read morehere in remembrance of a couple who loved celebrating Chinese New Year and would always come here. I've lived in this community for a long time and have driven past this restaurant countless times, but yesterday was actually my first time dining here. Parking: There is a very small parking lot, so be prepared to park on the street. Since it's also in a residential area, street parking was a little challenging. We ended up parking about a block away and walking. We were seated in a private room and enjoyed several courses from the banquet menu. Drink: creamy espresso martini. It was ok. Hors d'oeuvres your own plate: Lobster shrimp dumplings Taro crab cake Firecracker spring roll with lotus root, shiitake, carrot, and jicama Grilled lemongrass chicken The lobster shrimp dumplings were delicious. The taro crab cake was pretty good as well. The firecracker spring roll was also enjoyable. The grilled lemongrass chicken was my least favorite it had a spice that didn't sit well with my palate. Next course family style which I like: Champagne Maine Lobster Lobster sautéed with shrimp, shiitake, and snow peas served with longevity noodles and ginger scallion sauce. The lobster itself was tender, but I'm not a fan of ginger, so that dish wasn't really for me. Plum Duck: Crispy duck served with broccolini and sweet rice with Chinese sausage. I loved the crispy duck skin, but duck has a strong flavor and I just wasn't in the mood for it. The sweet rice was a bit too sticky for my liking. Pinecone Crispy Seabass: A whole crispy seabass with pineapple, onion, edamame, sweet peppers, and gunpowder sauce. This was my favorite dish of the night. The fish was excellent -- crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I even ate the head! Five Spice Braised Short Rib: Slow cooked with sautéed green apple and gai lan served with noodles. The short rib was fall-off-the-bone tender, though I didn't care much for the noodles. We also had pineapple vegetable fried rice with shiitake, basil, tomato, snow peas, carrot, and egg. That was very good -- I paired it with the fish and duck. Dessert single serve: Lunar walnut cake Triple chocolate mousse Mango crème brûlée Fresh berries which were unripe strawberries so I didn't eat them The mango crème brûlée was my favorite dessert. Lightly sweet. Overall, the restaurant serves Chinese cuisine with a French flair. The service was good and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely return to try more dishes and I will absolutely be back for that crispy seabass again.

As for my mains, I got the Crab & Shrimp Fried Rice and the Sichuan Chicken and Veggies. I was super excited to see Crab Fried Rice on the menu as it's one of my favorite asian dishes. However, the addition of the shrimp seemed to overpower the dish with a very "seafoody, shrimpy" taste to it. Kind of took away from the rice as a whole. The crab was nice though and there were big lump chunks of it. The star definitely was the Sichuan Chicken and Veggies, can't wait to go back for this dish as I loved the sauce, the tender chicken and veggies cooked to perfection as well. Thinking next time I go with Veggie Fried Rice and then the Sichuan Chicken dish for sure. Great atmosphere and aesthetic as well.

This place is a straight-up dim sum and dumpling situation, and it delivers hard. We ordered way too much food, which I maintain was the correct decision. The spread: house special roast pork bun (pillowy, porky, perfect), pan-fried dumplings (crispy bottoms, juicy inside -- the way it should be), soup dumplings (golden, delicate, dangerous if you're impatient), scallion pancakes (flaky, savory, we did not share these equally), spring rolls (classic, crispy, no notes), and honestly some other stuff I've already forgotten because by that point we were deep in a dim sum fugue state. We finished almost all of it. Almost. We tried. And the price? An absolute steal. The kind of meal where you check the bill twice because you're sure something's missing. If you're in Philly and you want dumplings done right in a no-fuss spot that punches way above its weight, Nom Wah is the answer.
