This was our second time here and they're getting 5 stars but the experience wasn't quite as good as last time, the orange peel in the orange chicken was very strong and for some reason the sesame balls we're served on what appeared to be slightly old shredded lettuce which wasn't with them last time? There was also a robot that now brings out the meals with a pretty obnoxious song that plays as it travels throughout the restaurant. The rest of the food was great though and I was pleasantly surprised with the spicy soup dumplings! It was quite a unique experience as we've never had dumplings with broth in them and the flavor was amazing. It was a little too spicy for my wife but I thought they were phenomenal. The staff here is always very pleasant and the prices for all the dumplings are absolutely fair. The regular entrees aren't really worth it when you could get more for the same price and quality at any Chinese takeout joint. This is somewhere to go for unique dumplings and fun desserts, we will be back! read more

Horrible service. I called in 1 noodle dish for lunch and it took them 1.5 hours to prepare it. After wasting a lot of my time, they were barely apologetic and still charged me full price. I won't be back. Also, they have a really loud and annoying robot waiter which ruins the environment inside. read more

Solid place in the Philadelphia suburbs to grab Shanghai and Hong Kong specialties. I stopped by on a Friday morning (they open at 1100, and I arrived at 1130), and I had the restaurant to myself for most of my meal, which consisted of wonton soup, beef chow fun, and Chinese broccoli with garlic. The food came out quickly, was hot, and tasty. The wonton soup featured a delicate broth, plump wonton, and generous portions of seaweed, thinly sliced fried egg, and green onions. The beef chow fun and Chinese broccoli portions were very generous. I needed up taking half of each home for another meal. Overall, the service was friendly and efficient. The decor was Asian in flavor, and seating seemed ample--there was maybe enough space for 30-40 patrons. When I drive by, it often seems busy, so it wouldn't hurt to take advantage of the online reservation system, order ahead and take out, or delivery. There is an ATM inside if cash is needed or preferred, but credit cards are definitely accepted. I look forward to coming back to try other items off the menu. read more

The selection/variety of dim sum was spectacular. Deliciousness abound. There were only 2 waiters the night I went and they were crazy busy. Staffing out front was an issue. Could have used someone at the register. I had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated. That was the only ding. The hot chili oil was authentic and homemade. The steamed dumplings I ordered were actually pan fried (disappointing). The Singapore noodles were on point and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The interior had a nice feel and created a classy Asian feel. Will try again. Also, love the RsD2 type robot delivering to some tables. Nice touch. read more

Talk about efficiency, freshness, and all around smiles! My brother and I stopped in for a quick dinner and within 5 minutes of sitting down our first orders were being delivered on the cutest robot. All the items were extremely fresh, well seasoned, balanced and piping hot on arrival. We had a range of things from the delicious soup dumplings, to the juicy, tender beef on a stick, to the aromatic noodles. Whether pan fried or steamed, it was all done perfectly. And don't miss out on the dumpling sauce - slightly sweet without an overwhelming vinegar or salty flavor, one of the best I've tried. They've got dumplings steamed and dumplings fried, and other stuff but those are the main attractions. Mentioned a birthday and some adorable piggie egg custard bao showed up. While it might be a bit on the expensive side, the food here is undeniably delicious. It's also one of the few spots in the area where you can even find soup dumplings, and definitely the only place where they're truly worth the price. First time at this location. Pork soup dumplings were as good as expected based on Horsham experience, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the chicken and vegetables with udon noodles. For dim sum as a specialty- both Shanghai and Crystal shrimp were gloppy and over done. They let a mashed dumpling come out of the kitchen - never have that in all the hundreds of dumplings I have eaten.. Sticky rice was acceptable and filled generously. Soup, hot and sour soup was pretty tasteless, not much ingredients. Eggplant dish -too sweet and gloppy sauce Overwhelmed the veggies. Too bad the food was so disappointing- pretty place and service fine. As a chain, they better up their game if they want to survive and attract return customers who eat Chinese food elsewhere. read more

This is the worst restaurant in my opinion in montgomery county. I have been there twice, once when they first opened and once when a couple of months ago. I figured I would let them work out the kinks of first opening. I am a huge fan of Shanghainese and Taiwanese food in NYC, Philly and many other places across the country. We've been eating this cuisine for over 15 years nearly every week especially in NYC (Chinatown Manhattan, Chinatown Flushing and elsewhere). After having tried all the Dim Sum Factory/Tom's locations (Center City, Media, Horsham, Krewstown), we were excited to learn about this new location less than 15 minutes from where my partner lives. So we recently went one week after opening, once just to take out two items and once to eat in. Take out was great. The Chongquin chicken and scallion pancakes were excellent. Could not have been better and I hope this never changes. Better than any of the other locations, with Krewstown coming in a close second. The food was great when we ate in. Since our bill was over $70, we tried an array of items: scallion pancake, stir-fried noodles with pork in brown sauce, 2 pork soup dumplings, bok choy and roast pork fried rice. The noodles were great as was the scallion pancake. THe dumplings were good but very, very small. The fried rice was also good but the portion was extremely small for the price. The same goes for the bok choy. Portion way too small for the price. The service was good. We absolutely loved that they didn't bring all the food to us at once as they do at Krewstown. They thoughtfully spaced out the delivery of the dishes to our table without us asking them to do this and it was very greatly appreciated. They were readily available if we needed napkins or more water. Place was clean and organized. Aside from the extremely small portions of some of the dishes (especially the rice - we were so stunned and sad), there was an adorable, little girl (approximately 5 years old) walking around who was singing, "LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" non-stop. Just that one note, very loudly, without stopping. Neither her parents nor the restaurant staff put a stop to this and everyone in the restaurant just looked tortured. The child was absolutely beautiful but please, parents and staff members, you need to put an immediate stop to something like this. We understand that children have to make noise but this was ridiculous. Although we were sitting far away from her, she was so loud that it really ruined our dinner. As we exited, we just looked at the tortured facial expressions of those customers nearby. Spending all that money for small portions of food and having to listen to that non-stop. She was loud. I understand that some children have autism or tics but this truly didn't seem to be the case at all as far as we could tell. Keep in mind that this is coming from someone who absolutely loves children but this was so loud and it never stopped. Please make sure you do not serve such small portion sizes (the prices have increased by so much!) and try to keep children as reasonably quiet as possible. We want to be regular customers and big fans who will rave about this place to all. read more

The food here was generally good, but I was disappointed with the hard rice. The portions were quite small, especially considering the high prices. Additionally, I was surprised to find that they charged for rice, which is usually free at most places when you spend $90 on dine in and take out. (Rice was $2). When it was time to pay for the bill I was only going to tip them $9 since they barely came to the table. Server 101 always check if your table needs more drinks or wanna order more which we did. But the lady saw what I put for the tip and ask me for a higher tip. Like how are you not embarrassed. If you came to our table more I would tip you $15. At the end I just tip her $12 and gave me a dirty stare like what!!! I know dam well the younger girl working there wasn't getting the tips because it goes straight to the manager pocket.
