Over the last few months, I found myself in need of a formal dress (I have plenty of cocktail event dresses, but not many formal). I tried a few other places first, but in both cases ended up at Dillards. To my knowledge, they have the best selection of formal dresses in Bentonville/Rogers. There was a large variety (especially compared to my previous stops), no wait for a fitting room, fitting rooms were cleared of previously tried on items, and I was able to check out promptly (which was appreciated during a last minute dress run!). read more

I walked around for 20 mins and received no service.... then the waiter informed me that they didn't even serve food there... the bar only severed drinks in weird spray bottles that tasted absolutely abysmal ! But I bought a cool 75 dollar T-shirt so not to bad! 4/10 I love it! read more

Horrible Service! Employees are only interested if you're buying. Purchased a watch two weeks ago came to get it fitted and the lady said she was not want able bc her hands hurt? Just left the Clinique counter , and Anita the clinique business manager gave me the best service I could ask for at a beauty counter. Her attitude was so positive and engaging, and her product knowledge was extensive. She definitely knows how to target your needs and recommend what is best for your skin. I gave this two stars instead of one because of the selection that provide. If it wasn't for that it would be a 1 star for sure. Over the holiday, I went in to find a new pair of shoes because I want to pick up a new pair of brown & black wing tips. Seeing how it was the holiday and I was off, I naturally enjoyed my time away from work in a sweat, t-shirt, shoes, & a hat. Not once was I asked for help or if I wanted to try a pair on. I was standing at a table along with another customer. The associate walked up to the shoe display we were both at and direct his "can I help you with anything" to the customer wearing dockers, button up, & penny loafers. The customer said no thank you and the associate walked away. Forgot about the other cusotmer 2 feet away. So I decided on a pair that I liked. Then went else where and purchased them. Just keep in mind Dillards, don't judge a book by a cover. read more

I went to Dillard's for new bras and new shoes. I honestly was not expecting much help but surprisingly a wonderful woman named Kat welcomed me and offered a bra fitting. What an incredible service that I should have taken advantage of sooner!! Kat really knew her stuff, she asked the right questions, gave me a TON of useful information and made me feel really comfortable and honestly a bit pampered. Kat not only provided outstanding service, she also was really efficient! I had my family waiting for me and was so happy to work with someone who was conscious of time. She did not try to sell me on things I didn't need and provided honest opinions. I am recommending her to everyone! Thank you Kat! During the same trip Kat suggested I visit Alayna in shoes when she heard I needed to find some new sandals. I received the same high-level of service. Alayna listened to my needs, made some terrific recommendations and was really efficient. She even offered to order the shoes online when they didn't have my size in stock on the pair I wanted. Dillard's has great products. However, if they plan to be open until 9:00 pm they need to have staff there! I walked around for 20 minutes with products in my hand ($300 worth) and couldn't find anyone to help me purchase them! Very frustrating. read more

Overall, great department store! I have been here a few times to shop and window shop. I have specifically shopped in the cosmetic/skincare area. I have experienced great customer service here. I came in looking for a reasonably priced mens suit today. I was greeted by David who assisted me with all of my suiting needs. He was not pushy and made me feel very comfortable in their menswear section. David was kind and helped me fit me for a suit and pick out the perfect tie! I've shopped at this store since it opened. They, at times, have some real bargains. Last month, I was looking for a pair of black, wide-calf riding boots. I found a pair that advertised "wide-calf available" in my favorite brand. Win! Well, the sales person informed me that she didn't have that boot in wide-calf. What? So, I asked her if they had ANY wide-calf riding boots. One pair. So, I purchased them, though they seemed too big all over. I wore them once. Attempted to return them (well within the 30-day return window) and was told that since they had a couple of scuffs on them and couldn't resell them, they would not accept them. Again, what? How am I supposed to know if they fit properly if I don't wear them? I will definitely be more selective when making my shopping decisions in the future. read more

I must say I am disappointed in this store. I went in to look for winter coats hoping to find prices reduced at end of January. And was pleased that they were. Several racks were signed with 65% off and some with 30% off. I found a couple of Micheal Kors coats on two different 65% off racks. One had been ticketed, but the other hadn't. I did the math and realized I could get both as well as something else. I found a North Face jacket on a 30% off rack that would make my purchase complete and headed to the register. The North Face had not been ticketed either but I could do the math. When I got to the register, the North Face wasn't reduced at all, despite an entire rack being signed 30% off. The MK cost that hadn't been ticketed was ringing up only 40% off. I asked the cashier if she could override and she said she didn't have the authority. I asked if she could get someone with authority. She gestured towards her manager that was only 20 ft away and said "I will have to get my manager." But then she made no effort to walk towards her or call out to her. After a pause, I said "Well, can we get her." In a huff, she walked over and spoke briefly to her manager. She gave me to 65% off on the MK jacket and I told her never mind on the North Face. But I was really disappointed with the level of service and the engagement of the management. As I walked out the door, she was returning to North Face jacket that was not reduced to the rack that was clearly marked 30% off and she made no effort to change the sign. I know Department Stores are struggling in the changing economy and really if you want to avoid that struggle, I suggest investing in some better training for your workers. read more

Pushy, agressive sales people hovering over us basically chased us out of women's clothes, handbags and perfume departments. We went elsewhere to make our purchases. I have shopped at this Dillards since it opened - and we spend a lot of money there. Today, I needed to return a RL Polo shirt that was the wrong size. I bought it for my son for his birthday, and took the tag off to give it to him and it was wrong size. I took it back to this Dillards, and found the correct size. I told the clerk what I was doing and had asked her to hold my return until I found the right size. I fished the tag (taken off as it was a birthday present) out of my pocket, and told her this goes with it. She became blank and said: what do you want to do. I explained, one is a M size and we need the L size that means exchange. She pointed out how the one I was returning was not in LIke-new condition and the TAG WAS OFF (as if that soiled it). She accused me that it was very faded(the color was denim like on the inside and pre-faded) and she had to get a manager. The manager wasn't pleasant, inspected the return as if it had been dipped in something heinous, didn't apologize for the girl accusing me of fading it out when it's in their computer that I bought it 2 days before and it still has folded lines in it. So I told the manager how I needed her to be a little nicer about it where she informed me THAT SHE WAS BEING NICE ABOUT IT, that she was going to do the exchange ! I told her that is HER JOB TO DO THE EXCHANGE AND TO HURRY IT UP. This place needs a shake up. read more
