I recently went into this Dillard's looking for a prom dress. I fell in love with a certain style but they only had it in a 6 (it was a return) and it didn't fit. So I asked the woman helping me about my options and she said that if I order from her there is no shipping cost and it could get to my house in 3-5 days! She gave me specific instructions to keep the box because the return information is under a deal that isn't super obvious but I knew because she told me about it. I got a receipt right away and waited and it arrived in 4 days in perfect condition. It was perfectly wrapped and had nothing missing, all of the intricate beading was perfect and I was very pleased. I used to go to Nordie's, and always left feeling that I wasn't liking the selection nor the price! Nearly finished all my Christmas shopping in this store! There wasn't any long lines and it wasn't too busy to the point of madness, just a good amount of people looking for a good deal! I like to shop at Dillard's for shoes. Great selection and LOVE the prices when they have their sales. I went in the other day to get a pair for my friend's wedding. She wants the bridesmaids in sparkly shoes. I have some from my own wedding, but they are TERRIBLY uncomfortable. To be honest, I rarely find a comfortable pair of heels and I was explaining this to Mitch in the shoe department. I was telling him that I am a size 8, but usually end up buying my heels in 7.5 because, otherwise, my feet slip right out of them. I have tried shoe inserts and they help...a little bit...sometimes....but one of my feet is usually slipping out halfway through a night of wearing them. Mitch offered to put some inserts in the heel I had picked. I explained that I had tried this before...I have even tried two inserts (one in the toe and one in the heel) with no luck. He suggested that it was all in the placement of the insert and he placed a Foot Petal towards the edge of the toe, where my big toe would be. It made a HUGE difference. I will admit that I also needed a heel insert. I'll be giving these babies a test run pretty soon here and I'll let you know the result. But, regardless, I appreciated Mitch's attentiveness and his non-pushy approach to selling shoes. read more

This review is solely for the gentleman who helped me in the shoe department a couple of days ago, his name is Alex! He was very courteous and seemed genuinely eager to help me with finding a pair of shoes that were on sale. The one I had found was a half size too big and even though what they have out is typically all they have he went and checked in the back anyway without push-back when I asked. It wasn't there and after I scoured the same sale racks several times more I found the same shoe in the right size! He was right there so he grabbed a pair of scissors to cut off the zip tie for me to try them on. From start to finish he was really nice and I appreciated his kindness especially because I was stressed finding these damn shoes for a wedding! I almost forgotten how horrible of an experience I had at the other Dillard's shoe department a while back lol. Thank you, Alex! read more

The salespeople here need a serious lesson in manners. Just because you work where they sell nice clothes does not give you the right to act like a snob and look down on people. It doesn't matter if I am here to drop a few hundred bucks, the women here look at you like you're dirt. I have given this store multiple chances and the service is so awful I would not recommend coming here unless you're ready to throw back some dirty looks. I don't understand how these people got hired and why they haven't been fired but here's a piece of advice...SMILE. Offer help. Don't look and treat people like you're better than them. If you hate your job, quit. You're making people miserable when shopping is supposed to be enjoyable. read more

I was shocked at Dillard's in Chandler tonight (Thursday). Saturday (five days ago) I purchased three shirts and two pairs of pants for a total of about $265. We took the tags off and washed the shirts (in accordance with the laundry instructions). One turned out scrawny and wrinkled. We ironed it. I tried it on, Wednesday morning, over a t-shirt, and found out it was scratchy too (and still wrinkly). I took it off, and took it back to the store tonight. The salesperson looked at it and said she would have to get approval from her manager to give a return. He (who said he was the acting store manager) said no; that because I took the tags off, washed it, and "wore" it (he said he smelled cologne on it, though I don't wear cologne), it was used, and he said I should read the (fine print) on the back of my receipt. I've never been so disgusted when returning an item (trying to) to a store in all my life. I've never even felt I had to "try" to return something; ordinarily, you take something back to a store, and at most stores, they don't even ask questions. Come to think of it, this one didn't ask questions either; they just said "no". read more

Best selection of clothing in town. Just because you are not the age of a "junior", or what you think a junior is, go check the junior department out. You will find something stylish for all ages. I was happily surprised at the prices as well. Many items in the $25 - $40 range. Very affordable and well made. Great service from Melinda in Juniors! Melinda went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. She made sure that she was available to answer questions and find clothing and sizes for us. Stella who works in the Purse / Hosiery department at the Dillard's within the Chandler Fashion Mall is truly customer-oriented. She has helped my friend, Judy, and me with Hue jeggings over the years. My good friend, Sherrie, introduced me a few years ago to Brahmin purses. They are so beautiful and come in an array of seasonal colors. Stella's the one who told Sherrie and me that the last Wednesday of the month is when there's an additional 30% off the marked down purses with a Dillard's credit card. Who can resist buying an expensive, top quality Brahmin handbag for 60% off?!? Stella is thorough and it's apparent that she cares about her customers. She is wonderful about calling me ahead of time to tell me about upcoming sales on the Brahmins. What an asset Stella is to Dillard's!!! Her customer service far exceeds those experienced in other department stores. read more

I have to say that this is not my go to store but in the end I always wind up here and find what I'm looking for. Their selection of dresses and swim suits are great and after searching other stores I usually find my purchases here. The store is usually kept organized and clean. Customer service lacks here and usually what they have out it what they have. No back stock. I dislike having to be let into a dressing room. When I'm ready to try on stuff, I shouldn't have to wait on someone to let me in a room or go hunt someone down. Security shouldn't be an issue since I'm sure cameras are everywhere. I wish they carried a more generous return policy, it would sway me more to be my go to store. read more

Dropped by Dillards to check out their Swarovski collection & found it to be quite limited. The ladies at the jewelry counter were friendly & recommended checking in the mall next to the food court. They believed their was a Swarovski location there still. As I was making my way thru the store I found an outfit for my little girl. I think the pricing was reasonable & the staff was helpful. Store at the chandler mall is well laid out but staff could use a little bit more customer service training. With the exception of the shoe department there. They seem very helpful and outgoing. The upstairs clothing areas though, needs a little training on how to speak to customers and not conversing with coworkers when there are customers needing service. read more

I shopped at Dillard's 3 times recently over the holidays. I enjoyed the selection in the juniors department but the staff.... ugg. There were about 5 or 6 girls on at a time and there were all standing clumped together. All snobbing it up. I mean if I asked for help they would help but they were very dismissive, a big group of silly acting sales girls all clumped together gossiping.. makes me feel like I'm either not cool enough to shop there or they need a mommy to come tell them to break it up. On one of my visits one of the girls actually gave a high five to the girl that was checking me out because I was making two transactions in one checkout saying "oh that;s number 7 for you way to go!" Maybe for the commission?? I don't know but just uggg! The lady in the women's section was great! And so was the women that helped me in the lingerie section. Overall I enjoy shopping at Dillard's but you don't need that many girls standing around gossiping and acting bored do you? 2 or 3 girls who actually take their job seriously would be great! read more

Woah!!! I love Arizona and I can't say it enough. Went out of town with friends for a girls trip for spring training this past weekend and forgot my makeup 500 miles from home. While freaking out my friend took me to the mall and of course I wanted to go to mac and the closest place was the mac in chandler. Walked in and immediately felt welcomed. Just walking by a women named britttany at mac asked me if I needed anything. Poor girl didn't know what a mess I was going to be. Haha. I proceeded to tell her my story and yada yada and she was a god send. She figured out all my matches immediately pretty much by just looking at me. We tried a few shades because I couldn't remember what I had at home. And we found the perfect match. It was a girls weekend so she even up Sold me some gorgeous pink colored eyeshadow from their new collection that I absolutely love. I didn't need it but I love it. Haha anyways the girl was the sweetest. I swear we talked forever. It was just what I needed. :) I don't know if she'll ever see this but hope she's doing well!! Done with shopping at the physical Dillards stores. Online shopping if free ship only. Went to Dillards in Scottsdale and they didn't have a particular Peter Nygard top in a size small. Called the Dillards in Chandler to find out if they had the size in stock. The woman in the department put me on hold for over ten minutes at which point I hung up. I then drove down to the Dillards in Chandler. Walked the store trying to find the Peter Nygard brand. When I couldn't locate the brand, I then walked the entire floor again to try and find an associate to help me. She pointed me in the direction of the clothes only to find every size but small. If this is the customer service consumers receive in the stores, they all deserve to be shut down and directed to their internet store. Not hiring enough staff is going to be a self fulfilling downward spiral. read more

Twice in the last few years I had the good fortune of having Kelly Davies in Women's World at Dillards at Chandler Mall wait on me. Both times it was very last minute. The first in 2014 for my trip of a lifetime - my retirement trip to Europe with my husband. Looking for pants is always excruciating, almost as painful as shopping for bras. I went in like 2 days before we were leaving to find pants. She was relatively new, was working in another area, but came over heard what I needed and talked me into magic pants. I bought 3 pair, reasonable for the quality and not only were comfortable but made me feel really about how I looked. They were the mainstay of my wardrobe for traveling and still part of my wardrobe. The second time was a few days before our annual family picture the beginning of December 2015. Looking for a fresh new top, that felt as good as it looked on the hanger. Kelly took the time to seek out what I was looking for. When I told her that a few that I really liked were too expensive she made a point of finding my miracle blouse as well as a few more. Kelly is a wonderful person who believes in being nice to everyone, spreading goodness one person and or one customer at a time. Professional, efficient, and sensitive to hearing what this customer needed and finding something, both times, that looked good and felt good. Kudos to you Kelly - and a recommendation for any woman shopping at Dillards in Women's World to seek you out. Hope we can keep you really busy! read more

After years (yes YEARS!) of illness and not shopping and not going out in the world we went shopping for interview clothes at a mall. We were lucky enough to make Dillard's one of our stops. We were approached by a woman named Jayne, and normally we would say we're just looking, but there was something about her that seemed inviting and safe. So we told her we were looking for interview clothes and had no idea what size and no idea what they needed to look like. She blew us away with her knowledge and kindness. The decision has been made in my family that all interview clothes and and possibly casual clothes and also swimwear and accessories will be purchased from Jayne at Dillard's from now on! read more

I received two pairs of slacks as a birthday gift. Included with the slacks was the original receipt from Dillard's. I ended up needing to return the slacks and just wanted to get the cash back so I could shop elsewhere. Despite having the original receipt, they did not want to give me cashback. Instead, they would only offer a Dillards gift card. I ended up speaking to a manager who after arguing 20+ minutes with, reluctantly gave me cash back. Instead of doing what's right for the customer, he decided to come up with an attitude and was not friendly at all. I will never shop at Dillards. Terrible return policies. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. The WORST customer service ever! I tried to return a handbag that I never used. They said it was over 30 days, so they would only give me a gift card. It was 5 days past the 30. When I bought it, I asked if I could return it and they said "OF COURSE" no mention that I had to return it within 30 days. I had to go upstairs to customer service and wait there for another 40 minutes. The woman said she couldn't call a manager because she was on a break !?!?! Really only one manager in Dillard"s I guess. In the end this manager decided she would give me a gift card for $40.00 less than what I paid. In all I spent 55 minutes for them to give me $40.00 less than I paid. The woman in customer service did not care at all about me as a customer. Horrible! read more

This Dillard's location is just okay. I have purchased a few dresses and tops from this location over the last couple of months and every time I have been in my experience has only been so so. The sales associates in the women's dress department can be either too pushy or completely non existent but not a good balance of one or the other. I have had a little bit of a better experience in the accessories department and the associates in that department seem to be more interested in what you are looking for and how to help rather than just making a sale. I also had an issue recently with needing to return an item that was in perfect condition with tags attached but it had been just a few days over the return policy limit. The manager was able to give me a store credit which I appreciated because I knew I was over the limit of the return policy. Overall this store is just okay. I will be back because I like their selection of dresses and tops but I am still waiting for that wow customer service experience that I think you should get no matter where you are shopping. read more

I have not been in the Mall in ages! and the treatment I received on Saturday was outstanding! My mom, niece, and I were all looking for a fancy dress for my niece to wear to her elementary school graduation. As shopping can be tiring looking through rack and rack of clothes, we had a little fun and were grabbing dresses we knew my niece would not like but would have fun trying on anyway. One sales associate saw us picking things out and came over to offer to put it all in a dressing room for us. She also had a few dresses to pick out and add to the pile and to the fun. while trying them on she regularly checked on us and also brought us matching shoes to try on with the dresses to get the full look. We ended up finding the perfect dress, with the perfect shoes and we even found two others that we got because they were so cute. Jasmine was so incredibly helpful and so fun to work with on this shopping trip. I would venture to Dillards more often just to be met with her kind, and outstanding customer service. read more
