Late to post this review but wanted to credit Shahrooz with doing a great job installing, wiring, and troubleshooting my new home's media and network set-up. He was fast, efficient, and effective in getting media system set up in two zones; he did a great job of installing ceiling speakers professionally. On the network set-up, he installed a switch and had to troubleshoot around some faulty wiring in order to get all areas of the home network up and running. Shahrooz showed up on a Sunday morning on 12 hrs. notice to rescue me out from an audiovuisual morass - although no stranger to the finer points of tech I'd gotten in over my head trying to add equipment to a 10-yr old system I was house-sitting. What a disappointment. I was super excited to contact this vendor because of the reviews. When I contacted him a week ago he said he was booked for a week. But he would be able to come the following week. I agreed to wait. He promised to call first thing on Monday to schedule the appointment. I called to follow up on Tuesday after I did not receive a call. He nicely apologized and said he would come Tuesday but that he would call me to let me know what time. Again I called today Thursday since I did not get a call. He than NOW tells me he wants to help but is too busy. :-( One man shop, no way to do business. A quick follow up. We had Directv come out and swap out our boxes because the old ones were, well old. After they left we noticed that some of our devices were not working. I called Shahrooz in a panic because we were having family in from out of town. He shot right over and showed me how Directv unplugged all of the other HDMI cables from the back of the receiver in their haste to get to the next job. Since I had asked Shahrooz to come out to fix something that he didn't break I was expecting to pay him a service fee. First time Yelp reviewer and it is all because of Shahrooz. We have pretty spotty Wi-Fi and a fairly unconventional home layout. Shahrooz came by and confirmed both and then proceeded to provide use with several options - both wired and wireless. And he provided pros and cons, including cost estimates, ultimately providing a recommended first step. And he even took the time to fix a resolution issue we were having with our TV. And get this - he did not charge anything for his time or his consultation. I told him my computer problem, and he was upfront regarding his schedule and told me he was booked for the next couple of weeks. My hard drive was failing so I was faced with either buying a new laptop or getting a new hard drive installed with all the data transfers and setup issues involved with that. Shahrooz took care of the hard drive replacement for me over a weekend so I was up and running by the next work week. He was very professional and accommodating, willing to pick up the PC in Oakland, although it turned out to be easy for me to drop it off in Pleasant Hill. This experience was as good as it gets. Very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to do the work to make sure it is done right. I wanted to mount a TV on the wall. He made sure it was clear of electrical, pipes on the other side of the wall. The internal TV mount had been broken by the last person who mounted the TV (in OH). He took the TV apart, affixed new internal mounts with epoxy (stronger than factory specs) and mounted it. Customer Service was also top notch. He called let me know he was on the way, kept in touch via e-mail/phone, did not pressure in any way. Additionally, he showed me some tricks on existing equipment I had to max performance. I needed a smart panel cleaned up in my home, and I saw the great reviews of digital solutions, and decided to give them a call. I spoke to Sharooz on the phone and he explained to me that he can do the job but not until next month. I told him I'm fine with waiting because I saw your reviews and you guys do great work it seems like. He asked me to text him pictures of my panel so I did. After sending the pictures I never received a response for a couple of days, so I responded again asking if he received the pictures. Still I received no response so I simply asked him if he can do the job or not...still no response. I've been doing business myself for years and this is nowhere near professional. The monitor of my all-in-one computer went out and I called Digital Solutionz. Shahrooz was able to retrieve all the data on my hard drive and transfer it to my 2nd computer. Here' s what I particularly liked about Shahrooz: 1) he seemed to know his stuff; he correctly diagnosed the problem as the monitor, not the computer, and he had the right equipment to retrieve the data from my hard drive. 2) he explained things simply so that I could understand and asked the right questions to help me make the necessary decisions. 3) he gave good advice, eg, not destroying the hard drive immediately in case he'd missed transferring something (he didn't, but it would be easy to miss something, so I appreciated the extra cautiuon). We recently relocated out of state. Right before our move my husband dropped the new remote and the screen stopped working = one very angry man! I contacted Shahrooz...and he came to our rescue again! He picked up the remote and mailed it back to Universal but said he wasn't sure wether or not they'd replace. I wish I would have know about Digital Solutionz when I first opened my business 5 years ago. I called Digital Solutionz to run two CAT6 cable from a server room out to a workstation and I could not be more satisfied. Shahrooz (the owner) was punctual and very professional. I was expecting to have to vacuum after he was done cutting sheet rock for the wall plate but he taped it off before cutting and left my office as clean as it was when he got there. Digital Solutionz, Shahrooz, really did amazing work on our home. He completely rewired our previous CAT5 home with "wall controls" and converted all speakers to a 7 zone iphone/Sonos system. Overall our project was quite large with industrial Wifi and 5 access points and 6 televisions and a central control cabinet, Tivos, apple TVs, etc.... so the project took 3 months due to some of our construction issues. Shahrooz did a great job of working with (and often managing) various painters and electrical contractors to get the job done efficiently and more importantly correctly. Shahrooz didn't ever cut corners and really paid attention to the details which translated to a very sleek and "clean" system install that looks and sounds amazing and is very user friendly.
