At the end of the night we got our bill and luckily someone in our group caught that we were charged $25 for a trucker hat which none of us requested to purchase. We brought this to the girl's attention and her response was "well that's why I told you to check the bill." In a sarcastic and rude voice. I strongly believe based on this interaction that they charge unsuspecting out of town visitors for their merch and hope that people won't notice and then they just pocket the money? We then asked for a receipt which we never received.... Shady. I really cannot get over how rude the staff was and can't wait to try other places in Murphy's and never return to this establishment. I noticed that they really want to please their customers and check on them frequently! Really nice food. Most to go so I don't have to cook! The outdoor seating was perfect for my puppy. We had actually gone fishing with Tahoe Sport Fishing the day before and caught our own fish. We regretted not bringing it in because they can cook your fresh catch for you! This is the first time I've experienced this in the last year and a half. I should have sent it back. My husband asked for his burger medium rare as he always does and his was wayyyy over cooked. He didn't even finish it and he ALWAYS eats everything! We have always had great service and never had any issues- There aren't many consistently good restaurants up here so I'm hoping next time they get it right because it's got a good vibe and the beer is always cold. We will be back but next time we will double check our food before attempting to eat it.
