Unfortunately, she wasn't tall enough for several of the other attractions, but that just gives us a reason to come back when she's a little older. The attraction has plenty of hands-on building activities, colorful displays, and a well-stocked LEGO store. The kid-friendly concessions were reasonably priced, making it easy to grab a snack without breaking the bank. The play areas were relatively clean, although I didn't notice staff cleaning during our visit. Overall, it's a great indoor outing for young LEGO fans, especially on a hot Texas day.

The facility is old and run down. The permanent exhibits have not been upgraded or improved in many…read moreyears. We visited on July 7, and the shooting ride was closed for maintenance. When if finally opened, most of the guns did not work. The little car ride only had 3 cars working. The display with Dirk Nowinski (really) and AT & t stadium had NOTHING in it about FIFA. Most of the buttons to light up displays did not work either. The race car shoot broke while we were there, I reported it, but no one came to repair it. The staff were friendly, and there was no shortage of team members, and the gift shop was neat and tidy. I feel like management needs to take a hard look at the rides and activities if they want it to be more than just a lego building place. There were PLENTY of Lego Displays for the kids to enjoy, and the restrooms were pretty well kept. Just take a look around, make some repairs, and make some upgrades or I fear the business will not survivel

Stayed a week at Great Wolfs Lodge. Honestly there were some challenges construction noise,broken…read moreelevator,mis communication, overcharges(tried to charge me for pool towels that i didnt even have..good thing i caught it..and when i did they removed immediately )but the staff was great and treated us like a top notch resort. From front desk to restaurant to cleaning crew ..everyone treated us like we were the only ones there. In particular we had the pleasure to on several occasions to be helped by Kayla M in Retail. First time was at Build a Bear. My wife can be all over the place and in the build a bear Kayla was patient, extremely helpful and friendly. She nade the process an experience. We were able to be helped again in the giftshop and again she went above and beyond to give us exceptional service and a wonderful experience. She mentioned she may she come to California (where we live)in the future..I hope California treats her as well as she treated us. Thank you again

Lots of changes for sure, but in a good way. The activities in the main hall were so much fun, family games, dance party, stories, yoga we did it all and had SO much fun. The indoor waterpark was perfect, we have two pale gingers and the ability to have fun and not have to worry about a sunburn is a game changer. The ages of children for our group were 5, 7 and 9. There was something for everyone. Our favorites are the HUGE bucket dump, the wave pool and the lazy river. However the slides are all super fun. The youngest very much enjoyed the smaller play area. Highly recommend renting a cabana, I find that just makes the organization of the day much easier. We had wonderful cabana service. For our trip we did the Miner's dig, Laser Tag, Ice Cream, Build a Bear and the arcade-all due to the Wolf Pass we included. (Great value) The absolute family favorite 17 years ago and now, was the Magiquest. It is such a family fun event. We had great encounters will all the staff, in restaurant, waterpark, hotel, gift shops, everyone was kind and helpful. I always make sure to go in the app and compliment each person after our experiences-I recommend doing this. While there were lots of good, there were some challenges, which keep this from a five star from me. The app is ok, but not really helpful unless you want to see upcoming events. I didn't find I used it that much. The one function I did use was the Chat which helped. Two main issues I still have with GWL 1.) The elevators, you are going to wait and eventually find its easier to get on what ever lands whether it's going up or down just to start moving. 2.) The cleanliness of the elevators-rough 3.) When you arrive there is not valet, and if you are a solo adult, it's hard to navigate pulling up, unloading, securing your items and littles-and figuring out parking. There needs to be a better system for this, and bigger carts lol. Once I got littles situated, I had to navigate parking, it was so full I ended up parking at the very back of the parking lot, it was quite a trek on a very hot day. For checking in, we used the kiosk-and had to get assistance, and then more assistance as we had wolf passes, splash pass, and the kiosk wasn't scanning correctly. It took a bit but we got it worked out. A little frustrating, as two days before check-in I received an email to pre-check-which being a solo adult with three littles that would have been nice. The function however never worked, I tried multiple times. Thankfully our room was immediately ready and we were able to go up and change and start playing. Even if your room isn't ready they have great options for you to enjoy while it's prepared. While the lodge has had many updates, I still think it has room to go to navigate the scale and crowd it sees on a daily basis. On to the food, I recognize many of the quick serves, are just that fast food. The pretzel and hot dog places are quick and not bad. The pizza isn't horrible, but over priced. The restaurant was meh at best. The buffets were disappointing, not a huge selection and quality of food just was not worth the price. I see a lot of folks recommending eating elsewhere, aside from the convenience I have to agree. The value and flavor are just not there. We did not go outside so I cannot speak to that. Our room was clean, however multiple outlets did not work, the shower struggled, and our lights flickered a bit. Nothing we couldn't manage, but for the price I would expect better. We did the wolf den, the kiddos loved the little nook and said the beds were comfy. The pull out couch took an act of congress to pull out, but once out worked as designed. We could not get it to go back in so had to leave it out for the duration of our stay. Housekeeping was very kind and generous, GWL has a great team of humans for sure. I probably won't wait another 17 years to return, but I might rethink staying onsite, if we do, we will definitely make different food choices.

This is the perfect spot for kids (and honestly adults too) to burn off energy. It's a mix of human interactive video-style games and physical activity like throwing balls, jumping, running...spread across different rooms with all kinds of challenges. You definitely can't come here low-energy because you'll be moving the entire time. I booked online and chose the 90-minute option, which was $39 per person. It might seem a little pricey at first, but it actually works out well because of how the timing is structured. You rotate through rooms and sometimes wait briefly for a game to finish, so everything feels organized and not chaotic. The setup is very efficient. You get a wristband that you scan to enter games, track your points, and even create a username. There's a leaderboard screen, which the kids loved, and you can earn points toward small prizes. The whole place felt clean, well-run, and supervised without being overbearing. The floors are cushioned, which helps since you're constantly moving, and it does get a little warm just because you're so active. From what I could tell, the party setup is more of a do-it-yourself style where you have a room for a set time rather than a fully hosted experience. Also, it seems per the website you would have like food delivered. There didn't appear to be a place where you could buy water. However, we did see water fountains near the restrooms. One thing I liked is that your time is based on active gameplay, not just the clock. So while we booked 90 minutes, we were actually there closer to two hours with the flow of the games. Overall, it was a really fun and unique experience, something different from the typical party spots. The kids had an amazing time, and we would definitely come back.

Oh my, where do I begin?…read more We decided to take our grandson on a his very first train ride. It seemed like a great idea and there are a lot of pluses, but there are some major negatives to. The pluses are the staff, the train station, and the train cars themselves. They have been beautifully restored and that alone made the trip worth it. And now for the negatives.... On our train ride we literally did more sitting than we did riding. The ride itself doesn't really go far from the station, in fact it pretty much stays in Grapevine, just a couple miles from the station. On its short journey, it stops multiple times to yield to the Trinity Rail Express. During those times these folks are selling you stuff like snacks and photos. Ironically, the pauses take just long enough for them to sweep the train faster than Jesse James's Gang and get away with all your money. When they are not heisting you, they have a couple actors that come through the train doing a skit over a sound system that is so distorted that literally no one can make out what they are saying. Bottom line, as disappointed as I was, my grandson loved it, and I guess that is what matters.

These tickets are so hard to get! They were available online on 10/01, and I forgot to check right…read moreat opening time. Later that evening, all the weekend tickets were already sold out. I had to go solo with my son on a weekday morning since the options were limited. Surprisingly, the train wasn't completely full. There were about 4-5 rows that were empty because people no-showed. I didn't want to run into the hassle of finding parking and then walking a long distance to North Pole Express. We parked at the Grapevine Library located at 1201 Municipal Way for free shuttle service. The parking lot was clearly marked, so you won't miss it. Once the shuttle dropped us off, we just had to walk a short distance and cross the railroad track right into the boarding zone. There were different vendors leading up to the boarding area. The line to take pictures with Santa at the General Store filled up quickly. Luckily, we arrived early so it was quite a short wait. We received 1 free complimentary printed photo. I was a little disappointed that the carousel was not up and running before and after our ride. At least they had cute photo-ops with a huge bear, gnomes, etc. Mrs. Clause did a great job making us feel welcomed. She said hello to my son, and even waved bye to us while we were on the train. The chocolate cookie from Mrs. Clause was soft and delicious. You know it's good when my son ate the entire thing. The hot chocolate provided was actually cold chocolate milk. Make sure to bring water because they don't give you a lot of liquid for hydration after downing the cookie. Since our ride was at 10am, the sun rays were bearing down on us. It would probably be more magical if it was in the evening to see the Christmas lights better. The elves did their best to sing and entertain, but my son was not paying attention whatsoever. His favorite part was the fake snow that drifted down as we exited the train. Overall, I expected a little more out of this given that it's so popular and hard to get tickets. This is definitely a fun experience for kids to dress up in cute holiday attire, but pretty boring for the adults. The joy is in watching the kiddos have fun and capture some beautiful memories.

We paid $600 for our group of 11 (adults and kids ages 2-5) to experience the North Pole Express on…read morea Wednesday night. At $50 per person with tickets sold in pairs (2 people per bench), we had to pay for 12 tickets even though we only had 11 people. This was a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the cost. The problems started immediately in the holding area. They packed us into an overcrowded space with blaring music and overwhelming lights that sent our 2-year-old and nephews into complete sensory overload. To make it worse, the performer who came out to sing Christmas songs literally forgot the lyrics mid-performance. Not a great first impression. Once we boarded the train, things improved slightly. The staff was friendly and the train itself looked nice. However, the onboard performance had horrible audio issues. The sound was so staticky we could barely understand what the performers were saying. The male performer deserves credit for being funny and engaging with the kids despite the technical problems. The female performer seemed exhausted and didn't bring much energy. Santa was fine. But the "scenic route" was a joke. Instead of Christmas lights or festive displays, we got to watch a park soccer game, warehouse loading docks, and trailer deliveries. Really magical. Bottom line: Don't waste $600+ on this. For that kind of money, you expect quality production, good sound, crowd control, and an actual scenic experience. This delivered on none of those. The attraction needs major improvements in technical equipment, crowd management, and route planning before it can justify charging these prices. There are plenty of other Christmas experiences in the DFW area that will give you way more value for your money.
