The light in the garage was flickering in and out like a creepy scene out of a David Lynch movie. My husband's and my eyes widened in horror. What it would take to get an electrician out to our house on a holiday? Was this a major problem with the electrical panel or was this faulty wiring in the wall? Was this a fire hazard? How much would this cost to fix? We crossed our fingers and called Nick, and he answered the call right away. He was very reassuring, and explained to us that it might be an electrical problem outside the house. He asked us to reach out to National Grid and to call him back when things were back up and running. Nick was right. A neighbor's tree was rubbing against the power line attached to our house, and the electric company was able to address it right away. (National Grid gets an honorable mention here for the quick response time.) We called Nick back to thank him and he appreciated us closing the loop. This is a rare instance where I'm giving a company a 5-star review for a service they *didn't* have to provide. Nick will be the first call we'll make when we need a helping hand!
