With prom getting so close, I had no choice but to purchase another suit elsewhere and pay a separate tailor to ensure my son was ready in time. To make matters worse, I was finally notified that the suit had arrived just three weeks before prom, and even then, the shop still didn't have the materials or appliqués needed to complete the customizations. I have been to other seamstresses who will charge for additional alterations if you are dissatisfied with their service. Although the alterations were higher than other tailor shops I have gone to, their customer satisfaction compensates for it.

There is another employee who always seems annoyed that I have the nerve to ask about an item; I really can't take that type of attitude. Customer service, man! I'm hesitant to dock Sixteen Tons a star because of this one guy's attitude. The owner has true vision and really caters to his clientele. He has helpful tips (more ties coming in next week!), good suggestions (how about a cool vintage belt for the guy who has everything?) and asks the right questions to really try to understand who you're buying for.
