I'm a medical professional with four previous household moves to compare. I've never had a bad experience moving until this one. This should have been an easy move, less then five miles, and I hired them to pack and wrap everything. The representative supervisor underestimated the time and materials by a shocking amount. When they ran out of packing materials, instead of calling for more, they placed breakables in laundry baskets with no wrapping. They barricaded my storage area at the front with boxes instead of placing on the shelves provided. I couldn't get to things to see if they were broken. They placed my sons drum set on a truck with no packing and of course it was damaged. I am still finding broken things. They left my old house doors wide open and a cigarette butt on the carpet. At the new house, they folded my children's and babysitters shoes in half to use as door stops. The supervisor put drinks without asking in my fridge and told the babysitter not to let the children have them? It was a awkward day as we listened to the supervisors rant about the move, one of which had prepared the estimate. We were confused and felt bullied when the final bill, much higher than the estimate was presented. Subsequent questions on the broken items have fallen on deaf ears, and they complained that I did not tip. Save yourselves. I did read the response and I have to say I'm stunned with the nonsensical reasons they gave given that they had as much time as they needed to prepare a workable estimate . I believe they took advantage of whatever situation they perceived me to be in. Also anyone that knows me also knows that my children are preteen/ teens and a neighbor and a college student were both present during the hours I was on call at the hospital. Even my realtor called could get no satisfactory response from this company.

Mount Up Moving Services are the BEST! Truly, I cannot say enough nice things about them…read more I had quite a little bit of a move from Kent to Avon and if the move from Westlake to Kent last year was any indication, I had no interest in doing it myself. Using Yelp, I sent out messages to receive quotes from various companies, and within an hour, Mount Up gave me a call. They quoted me at $300 for 3 hours plus two men and a truck big enough for my one bedroom apartment, plus a distance fee of $21.50. This was significantly less than other quotes I'd been given, plus they were available with less than a week's notice. I placed the $25 deposit right away. On moving day, they gave me a call in advance to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived, they got straight to work after assessing what I had and if/how I'd like the items to be moved (dismantled or put together? wrapped or no?) They were friendly, quick, and did the work of four men with total ease. They ensured that I did not go over our 3 hours. The only snag we hit, which we blamed on human error at the time of booking, was that if you choose to pay by card, there is a 5% fee. Otherwise, they do accept check or cash. Should I ever need to move again, I would undoubtedly book Mount Up again.

The may not wear the uniforms & drive the newer vehicles, but I would trust them again with any small move that may require 2 or 3 loads locally.
