Pork Osso Bucco
Rodney V.

Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Diego's. It all started (and ended) with our service - Roberto is one of the best we have ever had. So charming and inviting to the restaurant and passionate about each dish he explained and the stories he shared. The food highlights were the ceviche, Osso Buco and the chicken fried steak - all are must have's. Chips and salsa are also on-point. Vibrant and lively place but also privacy between tables and good noise level.

Delicious! Husband got the Flat Iron Steak and it was so tender and tasty as well. Waters were refilled timely. Warm chips and delicious salsa to start. It was our first time and we will definitely be back.

Pork Carnitas Raviolis

I had the lava flow drink and the pork carnitas filled ravioli. Everything was delicious! The service was great even though they were kinda busy and had a lot of tables filled. Will be coming back again!

Carne asada x 2
Jenni A.

We had a great dinner tonight at Diego's: chicken taquitos for our app (along with complimentary chips and salsa) and carne asada. Everything was cooked perfectly and I was surprised to see that they serve a unique green rice with their dishes rather than the tired "Spanish" rice that's often so flavorless. The service was prompt and I swear our food came out faster than any restaurant I've been IN MY LIFE! We hadn't even eaten half the basket of chips before my salad and our taquitos came out. Then, before we could finish those, our carne asadas came out (we both ordered the same dish). I was almost in shock! Anyway, it was great overall and I'd definitely recommend this hopping spot to anyone looking for tasty, fresh Mexican food in the area.

Always on the lookout for great N/A I ordered the house-made ginger beer. SO GOOD! Anyway, appetizers - We had: Patatas Bravas - yummy fingerling potatos Mushroom Tartine - this is PHENOMENAL, their amazing sourdough bread topped with mushrooms, goat cheese and herbs. Now mind you, it comes with 3 servings, and with four of us, well it was hard to split up. I wish we wouldve asked if they could do 4 pieces for incremental charge. I loved it so much if I come back this might even be my entree. Roasted Eggplant - omg, with spiced yogurt and pomegranate seeds, what an amazing taste combination! Braised Cabbage, in a curry broth, this was inhaled as well. While the others ordered the various pizzas, I had the Flame and Field Steak Salad, 6oz sirloin on radicchio salad with an amazing blue cheese dressing and lots of other stuff. My steak was PERFECTLY cooked to med rare and seasoned. And i'll mention, they dont put any salt/pepper on the table here, and they dont need to :) Service was on the ball, kind respectful and informative. The ambiance is very, well, TERRA. Lol. Look up on the wall, terracotta pots, lol. For excellent gourmet food, much of it vegan and glutenfree, prices were super reasonable. I'll come back here pronto next time I'm in town.

We went during happy hour and got the fresh oysters, the pork belly, the albacore tataki, pork belly sliders, the Cuban, and the burger. We walked in to find a mostly empty restaurant (2 other tables seated). The atmosphere felt more like it was suited for a nice dinner date than a casual lunch but whatever - they're open for lunch. When I asked a friend about it later, he said he and his wife go there for dinner but had never been at lunch time. My buddy ordered the Grinder (essentially an Italian) and I ordered the Beef Sando (essentially their take on a French Dip). My buddy, who self-admittedly doesn't like focaccia, said the bread was awesome and sando in general really good. We both really enjoyed the fries, that were well seasoned in a savory and slightly sweet dusting. The abundance of fries was well appreciated as well. The beef sando was tasty and also a good portion. My only complaint was the thinly shaved beef was laid flat in layers instead of mounded on the sandwich (see pic). I hesitate to even say this, but it felt like I was eating Steak-umm. In general, the meal was good and filling. The service was good and value for price felt good.

The staff are very sweet and mellow, which is nice in the morning. They also sell beer, wine, and cider, if that's your thing. This morning I got coffee elsewhere but had the Broken Top breakfast burrito in a GF wrap in the cafe and it was fabulous. I forgot to take a photo of the burrito until halfway through the other half of this thing but snagged one of the other side. I arrived around 11am on a Thursday to find the place absolutely packed with people! As a lone diner, they were able to fit me right in at the counter seating. I'm not a big eater for breakfast, so I was very relieved when they said they could do a half order of biscuits and gravy. Thank goodness! When they brought out the "half order", the singular biscuit was HUGE. And the bowl of gravy was generous. The biscuit was like a giant version of my Southern born grandmother's biscuits, and the gravy was very traditional and tasty. I looked around at my fellow diners' plates, and the portions all seemed incredible, especially for the prices I saw on the menu. The guy waiting the counter was super friendly and fun to chat with, as was another local to my right. This is 100% that local favorite breakfast place, as evidenced by the packed restaurant at 11am on a Thursday. It's down home and real. Nothing fancy, but the food is honest.

They have a number of core staples, plus a bunch of small batch beers you can read about on the chalkboard near the door. The bartender was immediately friendly and welcoming; I said it was my first time there and she told me it's the oldest not-for-profit brewery in Oregon, donating all their post-bill/payroll profits to local charities.
