Shared the pork osso buco with my husband and it was the best meal I've had in a while! Diego's Burrito was good too!

This place absolutely blew me away! My husband and I came here late in the evening about 9pm after searching for a nice place to eat for our anniversary. We were greeting right away and asked our table preference. The staff was very friendly. We were served chips and salsa while we looked over the menu. The menu was huge and had a TON of options. I had a very hard deciding what to get as so many of their dishes sounded amazing. They had a ton of seafood which is my favorite and all their prices were very reasonable. We started off with some margaritas, I really liked how you got to pick which tequila you wanted out of a large list. The drink was nice and fresh. I settled on the Seafood Penne pasta and boy was I not disappointed! This was the BEST seafood alfredo type pasta I have EVER had!! The flavor in the sauce itself was so unique and flavorful. This dish also packed a ton on different seafood with giant prawns and scallops. The portion size was also very large and I was only able to each half. As i write this review i'm eating my leftovers and surprisingly heated up really well. My husband ordered the Halibut steak and was also very happy with his choice. The whole experience was a good one. I will for sure be coming back anytime i'm in town so I can try some of their other menu items. read more

This is a cute restaurant in downtown Redmond. Food and service are both wonderful. I had the seafood chili relleno with rice and beans and W had the brisket with mashed potatoes and beans. My dish was so rich and delicious. I ate too many chips (really good) before my meal was served, so I could only eat half my food. I can't wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow. W thought his brisket and the beans were outstanding. He didn't like the fried onions. I tasted one and found it to be chewy, instead of crunchy, and it tasted as though it had been fried in old grease. There weren't very many though, so it wasn't a big deal. The potatoes tasted like they were prepared from dried potato flakes, but they were okay. Overall, we loved this restaurant and we will definitely return. read more

It's as good as everyone says it is. I came from Portland and had to detour to stop in for lunch. The food was absolutely amazing, service was great, and my son even polished off his burrito. Could be the best Mexican food I've had in all of Oregon. Really, I can't think of better food outside of actually eating at some of the hot spots in Cabo. This menu is amazing! The flavors that came out of that kitchen were top notch. You are guaranteed an awesome meal if you order the Osso Bucco. It was tender and delicious. Not to mention looked amazing. Their shrimp are delicious. Ordered an appetizer of Boursin and mushrooms with ciabatta bread that was very deliciously well. I have a feeling this is going to be a mandatory stop every time I travel to the Redmond airport. After plane rides from East Coast, nothing welcomes me to Central Oregon than a meal here at Diego's. Come here to have a great meal if you are looking on here to get a solid recommendation of where you should go. Choose this one hands down. Trust me! read more

Food was average and service wasn't good, our server was not attentive and friendly. Food is good but nothing special , you can eat better and cheaper somewhere else. Packed house on a Friday night but we were able to be seated within 20 minutes. Great vibe matched with good prices. BTW, this section of Redmond is the old downtown district and an impressionable visit for us. Salsa was certainly something to come back for on it's own. We were simple folk tonight, ordering a few cocktails and salads for the main course. Wanted to mention the lengths Roberto went through to make sure my wife's spicy margarita was done just right. Really personable guy as well. Steak salad....if I could imagine what a steak salad should be like, this would be it. My wife's taco salad was pretty good. Too full for dessert but they looked appealing. We will be back and will be sure to let our friends know about it. read more

We had to wait quite a while. The prices were high. The portions were large but seemed wasteful. The carnitas were dry and lacked flavor. The carne asada had good flavor but was chewy. The tortillas didn't seem fresh. The ground beef for the nachos was too saucy and just made the chips soggy. The taquitos were also soggy. We said we were going to order drinks after we ordered food and the server never came back to take our drink order. We probably won't return. read more

Ah, we are so blessed to have a place in Central Oregon that has both traditional Mexican dishes (and if you know Mexico, that is saying a lot as the different regions have their own flair and specialties, and Diego's has delicious samplings of almost all of them) and very creative Mexican inspired dishes and specials that will blow your mind. I am almost always ordering Diego's Burrito with carne asada as the flavors blend perfectly - steak and lime and black beans and Verde sauce. The burrito is big enough to share for two yet my wife usually tries some of their creative specials so we can experiment (with wonderful discoveries) knowing she can (and does) always have some of my burrito. I just finished 1/2 of a Diego's Burrito leftover from last night's take out order, and I think it tasted even better after a night in the fridge, which defies explanation. Bravo! read more

This is a Mexican restaurant for people who are too afraid to be near real Mexicans. Sure they charge $24 for 3 tacos but that's the price you pay to be served by Mexican people but not actually have to dine with them. The food was ok but really not worth the price tag and it seemed very white washed. read more

We've been happy local customers for more than 6 years. Unfortunately, the steak fajitas we have ordered & loved over the years has suddenly both dramatically INCREASED in price and DECREASED in portion. There were 6 small skinny strips of sad steak in my order tonight and I barely had enough to make 3 small fajitas. The cost was $30 for a meal that could barely feed a child. I know we're all struggling but the place was packed as usual and it was really disappointing as regular local customers to see that we're having to pay so much more for so much less:( read more

Was just there for my 3rd time in two years. From out of state. Came in with a large group. Very accommodating and the food is always so great. Was comped a drink bc it was the wrong whiskey so that was nice with no complaints to even do so. Great staff. Some of the best food around. read more

Went in for lunch on a Saturday 2/20/21 around 11:30am, when I went to use the men's restroom it appeared not to be very high on the cleaning list. The toilet had poop splattered all in it and the rim looked like it hadn't been wiped down in a week. It was very disgusting. Food was just okay, service was just okay with the forgetting of requested condiments, all in all not impressed for a fairly expensive restaurant. What happened to this place? The first few times we had dinner here it was good/decent. However, it's gone downhill. We thought we had an isolated bad experience, so we came back and the food and service were terrible. We made another attempt and it was so bad I couldn't even eat my meal. Wow, that was good. My fillet had a nice seasoned vaguely charcoal tasting exterior, keeping the yummy juices inside. Delicious. Vegetables cooked to perfection, baked potato with unlimited toppings like bacon and crushed cheese. And the baked potato was seasoned on the outside. Perfect. My wife had the chicken molle. Great. We both had to take some home because the portions were so big. Waitstaff was amazing. Food was delivered in about 20 minutes, tops. Aside from cheaper, could not improve! I love Mexican food - this was sooo disappointing. The best thing about my meal was my margarita which was only ok. I got the bbq shrimp appetizer - it was $15 for 3 shrimp, a biscuit and some mixed greens. The sauce was not good and overpowered the shrimp. I also got shredded beef taquitos. The tortillas were bland and the meat only had Flavor of onion and tomato. Frankly, Taco time would have tasted better and would have been far less expensive for the food. read more
