In all seriousness, this Dick's Sporting Goods is huge, with 2 floors, and a bonus of a Dick's Warehouse Sale opening up fairly recently. This store carries your typical sporting goods jerseys, and also many of the outdoor equipment pertaining to hunting gear, fishing poles, you name it, but an even big selection of items - compared to other locations being smaller. I always find it joyful coming across these and seeing the great variety to pick from. No issues with this store, and customer service is great. read more

This employee lied to me about that I can't return my softball bat and gloves because they don't have tags on them, but I called them two times just to make sure if i could return them with my card information so they can see what brand it is and return my money back and to show proof that I bought it. The worker on the phone call said I can return it back since i paid it with card, so I don't know why this guy at the resister had an attitude with me and won't even listen what I say about the conversation that I had on the phone call. read more

PROS: One of the bigger Dicks in the area, this store has everything. It lives up to the franchise standards of inventory selection, unbeatable prices, nice layout, and friendly staff. Very helpful! Went to shoe department and they gave me a free gait analysis and arch testing. Allowed me to get a personal fit ;) The prices were about average. Lots of variety including for feet like me (big). It was nice to get a non-shoebox fitting. Definitely recommend! read more

First time in a "Dick's". With really only Modells left as a major competitor, I decided to finally try this chain. Upon first appearance, this store is large, organized, and very clean - which is almost an opposite to a number of Modells stores that I've been to.....which is a great sign and first impression. This particular location has 2 floors with an escalator in the middle of the store. I came for 1 item in particular, but I did browse around a bit and saw there were plenty to ensure I'd be back in the future sometime. I had no interactions with any employee. No one asked if I needed any help, which is ok by me. What keeps this review from getting a higher ranking is some of the prices I've noticed. Several items I saw you could easily find cheaper at a competitor or online. I don't know what the business model is here, but the pricing is kind of poor and not very competitive. If I really want something that I can't find elsewhere and don't want to get online, then I would probably come here - but it wouldn't be my first stop. To be fair, the item I did purchase was reasonable however and not sure if there was missing signage, but it was slightly cheaper at the register as well. Say what you will about the name - all I can say is I'm glad they have the "Sporting Goods" part in the title. This location is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the Palisades Mall. Again, very clean, organized, and a fairly good selection. Worth checking out. Just be cautious on some of the pricing. read more

Lots of cash registers but very few sales people on the second floor. None of the POS upstairs is on or supported, so all items, even very heavy ones, have to be carried downstairs to purchase. Ludicrous. All of Dick's has now kowtowed to political correctness, and decided not to sell a vast range of merchandise they used to have. Whatever. American flags everywhere, displayed over horribly overpriced Chinese crap. I had a lot of member points saved up, but they expired during the COVID lockdown and the goofy girl at checkout just "computer says no" to my purchase attempt. She can carry and put it all back upstairs as a reward for her service excellence. Narrow isles of merchandise that lead to the only open cash registers in the store create a conflict between folks who are shopping, and the obedient rest of us socially distanced and waiting to check out. Gander Mountain, Cabella's, Bass Pro, or REI are far better and will be earning my substantial business. I used to spend $200-400 a month at Dick's. Despite the convenience of the location, I will never spend another penny. read more

a visit to the huge palisades mall included a stop at the 2 level dicks sporting goods to pick up a baseball glove for my cuzs son birthday and some fishing stuff for my weekend trip upstate. good variety of sporting goods for all the major and minor sports games and activities along with plenty of sporty threads including for tne runners and outdoor type folks. prices aint bad and plenty of stuff was on sale and in the clearance section. store is organized and well stocked with basically everything you need easy to find. checkout was quick and having evertyhing i purchase on sale was a bonus. notice the hunting section has some fancy bow and arrow sets which i always wanted to get back in the day but was not allowed by my parents due to me blabbing that i wanted to hit my little brother in the ass with an arrow. overall a good chain sporting good store that has the basic sporting good stuff and more. read more

It was almost closing time and the employees were all so helpful trying to help me pinpoint where these laces are and we found them. I am having the absolute worse experience with Dick's Sporting Goods Store at the West Nyack location. I purchased 2 bikes in Nov. 2020 brought them in 2 wks ago to be built and THEY RESOLD BOTH MY BIKES!!! Why? Because they failed to secure and label my bikes!!! We spent over 4 hrs in the store trying to find replacement bikes because now they are out of stock on the original bikes so I had to settle for 2 other bikes! After speaking with multiple staff and store managers now they are sitting on the 2 new bikes that we had to settle for. We have to call the store for updates because the store staff has also failed to call to update me on the status of both bikes on both occasions! How can a sporting goods company be out of bikes at the beginning of the season?!?!?! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! read more

Walked in trying to buy some running shorts in the morning, they were 35 dollars. I asked a cashier if they had any military discounts she replied no (kinda strange: the only sporting good store around that doesn't ). I ended up going to Target next door and got 2 pairs of running shorts for the same price. Also, Dick's apparently doesn't accept Retail Me Not coupons. The place is clean and the service is helpful. *Know that you are paying for the great selection and service on each item because of the massive inventory. Prices are higher here than nearly every other large retailer of sports equipment I've checked out- but can find you find the exact item you are looking for anywhere else? Dicks is a great looking store with an amazing selection on almost any sports item you can think of. The bad news is that their pricing is not very good, and you can probably get it cheaper online. But their big problem is their customer service. It is horrible.....EVERY SINGLE TIME. I just came back after looking at sneakers. One of their employees was hustling by-since unlike Footlocker they never ask customers if they need help so I stopped him to remove the security piece, since it was in the top of the lace. He said they usually dont do that, and its only done at register. I said I need to try them on, to which he replied,"Can you just try on one?" I told CONRAD that no, I needed to try them both on. FIVE MINUTES later, CONRAD returns, and waits while I try them on. The second I took them off he was on those sneaks so fast to put security back. Last week I was in store, and another of their employees was, yes, hustling by. I asked him if they had a specific sneaker. Without missing a beat, he said if they did, it would be on the end cap, and I would just have to look. Huh? Dont they have an inventory tracker?? Or are they just so lazy. These are not isolated situations. On almost every occasion-except once where I had a nice guy-their sales people act like they d rather be anywhere else. Dear Mr Randy Frederick I came to your White Plains Dick's store where I have spent thousands of dollars on sports for all 5 of my kids as my wife and myself.  I have an incorrectly purchased bucket of Dicks baseballs with no receipt that needed to be swapped for girl's softballs in addition to the $150 + softball glove, tee + shirts. They told me that even though they have not been opened they could only refund me $3.50.  I could not be more insulted, I left the stuff behind and took back the baseballs. I live in Scarsdale and will be telling every parent at every field as well as leave reviews everywhere I can about the treatment and store policy. I was also scheduled to come back later tonight with my son who needs a new lax stick but will not be spending anymore money with dicks until fairness is restored to the business to customer relationship. I have also spent a small fortune at the Dicks by my beach house in Brigantine NJ which included kayaks, basketball hoops, bikes and apparel. VERY BAD CUSTOMER RELATIONS! I was on the website looking at some 'zero gravity' lounge chairs and saw a few that looked promising. Wanting to try them out, I called the local Dick's in West Nyack and inquired if they had some at the store. I was assured that they had a nice selection of such items. So, I made the trip to the mall...only to find that had not even a single lounger of that type. I asked to talk to the manager because I figured this is something she might want to know about. She was not especially sympathetic to my story and didn't seem to care much that their employee's lack of knowledge and/or respect for the customer had wasted a good deal of my time. Walked in the store and asked a salesperson for help to find a certain fishing/camping chair. He rolled his eyes and briefly explained where they were. As I went upstairs I couldn't find the one I was looking for, as the website said they had it. I asked yet another cashier who said "yeah I don't know it would be over there." When I stated nicely "well can you please help me find it?" He says "no cuz i don't even know what that is." I said yes but it says online you guys have it in stock. He replies okay but I don't know. Great experience at the store today. All the other sneaker stores at the mall were either out of stock or way too expensive. Got a good price on a pair of sneakers here and the employee (Nicholas) working the shoe section was great. Helpful, attentive and very polite as soon as I needed help he spotted me but didn't harass or annoy like the other stores. And, I haven't been called sir at a store like this in a long time. So I applied for a credit card online so when i go in the store i dont have to hold up the line and plus doing this will allow me to be in and out of the store since i already know what i needed to get. I applied becuase i saw there financing was workable and that i needed to purchase a threadmill. Clever thinking right? Went there and started looking for stuff that i wanted and yes they did not have it. So walked around to see what else i can get instead and everytime i asked an associate, yes you got it right They tell me that they dont have it. Sigh.Ended up settling for something else. Went to the register showed them the the temporary credit card with the loyal card barcode on the bottom. And guess what? They only let me use the loyalty card and did not let me use the credit card at all. Cashier said the register wouldnt let him use it but according to the email all i had to do was show it to the them and thats it. So why did I apply for the credit card if i cant use it? So does that mean i actually need to wait for the actual card then go back to the store? Too much hassle! Will shred the card as soon as i get it! Thanks dick! Now i know where not to go! read more
