Parking is impossible here because of the limited parking spots by each store. Got to wait for another car to leave and see if any car is fighting for the same spot and then you go berserk! Except, with the predicted Saturday-into-Sunday snowstorm, we were on the clock. Forget about the Macy's in Yorktown Hgts- that place is downright depressing with no furniture dept. This Macy's, on the farthest side of the Palisades Mall is a breath of fresh air. To add, there's a huge furniture dept on the 3rd floor. We were happy. Whether you need a new statement sofa, sectional, dining table, bed frame or something small to finish your room, this location has all the pieces. Every floor in Macy's was swarming with people and clothing racks were neat AND filled. Our guy Andrew was exceptional. He didn't nag and didn't stalk us. He went above and beyond and exuded great, old-fashioned customer service from helpfulness to language to knowledge- the dude was just high-level. The atmosphere is relaxed, he took care of pricing and we left with a smile.

The good thing about shopping in store is not having to pay shipping. Well, what can one say about a shopping mall? ... The Pallisades Center is like every other mall you've been to ... Just bigger. Much bigger. Big enough to have a ropes course. There's a wide variety of stores - the familiar (Macy's, Journeys) the going out of business and shuttered (J.C. Penny) and the crowd favorite, food court. We came for Busy Bee play center to give our kiddo the chance to burn off some energy and we definitely took advantage of the mall Chinese food. Who doesn't like having some good ol' Panda Express type food on a stay-cation.
