I had an AWESOME experience working with Nathan Kessler at the Dick's in Kenosha. I went there to look at the golf clubs. Nathan took the time to have me hit a bunch of different clubs (drivers, fairway woods, and irons). This helped me decide which clubs worked best for me. I ended up with a full set as well as a Sun Mountain new golf bag (with built in cooler LOL). A great experience and a great price. I placed an order on-line to pick up in store. All items ordered were listed as in stock. I went to pick up the items and only one was ready for pick up. The girl that helped me was very nice and checked her hand held for other colors in stock of the item that was suddenly canceled. She saw no others list and proceeded to re-order the item for delivery to my house. After that was done, out of curiosity I went to the area where the item would be stocked, just to see for myself that they suddenly had none. I found the items in question that they most certainly had in stock. Now it's too late and I have to wait to see if I actually get the item delivered. Moral to this unfortunate story, trust your gut, check for yourself, and just order online because the store employees are incompetent. read more

I purchase from Dicks all the time in Kenosha. In fact I would estimate our purchases to be over $3000 in last year. Today we had to return baseball items because already received as birthday gift. I had receipt new items not opened and the clerk and manager would not make return because the purchase made with my cash app card - which I have used and returned to before - even called customer service cash app in store and they said this store being ridiculous! I will NEVER shop here again and will be taking my return to the Gurnee store - Dicks is done for me! I hate to give 1 star there was 0 stars for this location and store - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Nice general sporting goods store. Just not full service in all areas, needed a golf club repaired and would need to send it to Milwaukee.

Went in to find a clear stadium bag which I knew they carried and saw were available for in store pickup. I asked sales associate Stevie about them and she looked confused and immediately said she didn't think they carried them. I proceeded to check out and asked the cashier who immediately went over their headset and had all associates looking for it. Turns out there were 12 in stock. The customer service here is rudiculously awful!!! We went in yesterday to look for new golf clubs. There was an older gentlemen employee behind the golf counter, and another older gentleman employee in front of the counter, socializing with one another. We walked right past them and didn't even get a hello. It was as if we weren't even there. We walked through the entire golf department and were never acknowledged. As we walked away we waved goodbye and sarcastically thanked them for their service. The older gentleman behind the counter said "Did you need help with something?" We said "Not anymore. We'll go spend hundreds of dollars somewhere else!" He replied, "Oh, well what can I help you with?" We replied, "Nothing now. You're too busy socializing with each other than to help us." This will be the last time we ever step foot in your store. And you can bet we won't be purchasing anything online from Dick's either. After posting about our experience on social media, many of our friends had a similar experience. We found out a friend of ours went in to buy a new set of irons and was asked if she was in the right store; was she looking for golf clubs or something to use to get the wrinkles out of clothes. What a slap in the face! Needless to say she will never support your company again either. I wonder how your President Lauren Hobart would feel if she knew this was how you treat your customers?! Former customers now. Your new commercials boast the best equipment at the best prices. I will gladly pay more money for the best equipment and best customer service somewhere else. got everything on my list... i had created a list of items needed for upcoming sporting activities and trips and to my surprise, was able to find it all at dick's. i read reviews on more local (for me) dick's locations and they were not stellar. it's been a long while since i've visited those locations but remember having fairly good experiences there as well. the kenosha and indianapolis stores are both wonderful - clean, organized and well stocked with the colors and sizes i want/need. unlike sports authority (similar concept), you don't need to dig around and the layout of the store is more inviting. i wouldn't necessarily go to dick's if i needed heavy advice on a particular purchase. for those needs, i go to REI, moosejaw or specialty shops. go to dick's if you've done your research or are replacing something-- dick's will have it for a competitive price. read more

Employees here always greet you when you enter, they are helpful when you have questions too. This store has a good selection of various sporting equipment. The building is always well lit, large and clean. I really like that they have hockey equipment except the last time I was here, they didn't have enough of a selection of sizes for my girlfriend to try and find her skate size. read more

You can find most every thing for the popular sports, but they do not have all the sports. The are big on Golf, Basketball, Football, Fishing, shooting, archery, Running, Hiking, etc. However, I could not find bindings for my wakeboard or wetsuits. I think from time-to-time they bring these items. They have a very nice selection and it is a fun store to browse around and pick up some attire and cool sporting/exercise equipment. Their camping section is extensive and fun. I ended up buying a bunch of little trinkets that I had no need for (at the time). I am planning to return and just browse whenever I have more time. This is definitely a cool store to browse for the outdoors person. I recommend it. read more

Went to buy a set of golf clubs, the associate working the golf dept . Did not show any interest in helping me while I stared at there wall of golf clubs for 20 mins. He showed zero to none interest . The associate did not seem busy at all, he was on the web the whole time I stared at this wall. He only got up once to get some water and to check the golf game score on the t.v. I was not happy with that customer service one bit, if he'd like to sit around he should have been hired for a cashier position. Who am I sopposed not aske for a help? Brought my son (age 7) who's a beginning hockey player to Dicks, to get him skates and a helmet and some other hockey equipment in May or June, 2017. Spent $160+ on the equipment and asked for the skates to be sharpened. They said their machine was down and to come back in a couple days. I said it may be longer than that (it's the offseason until fall). He said "no problem". I said, "okay, what's your name so I can ask for you." He says, "Don't worry, I'm the only one who does the sharpenings. It'll be fine." Well there's the first open skate tonight, I'm at work, so I sent the wife down to Kenosha to get his skates sharpened because they said their skate sharpener guy leaves at 3:00pm. She texts me when she gets there, saying, "The say 'no receipt, no free sharpening." Yes. They figured us out. It's really all a scam and a ruse to spend $70 (presumably at some other store) in the hopes of TRICKING Dicks Sporting Goods into giving us a free $5 sharpening. HAHAHAH. MuuwwwhahahHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, Dick's. I am done with you. We WILL purchase all our hockey equipment over the next 11 years SOMEWHERE ELSE. And yes, that $5 you greedily got is going to LITERALLY cost you THOUSANDS from my family alone. read more

The employees here are very courteous and respectful. They are very willing to help you out but do not hang on you like they are stuck to you, which is good. They are very knowledgeable about the products. The store is well organized, clean and items are easy to find. Their sales are awesome. I would and have recommended people to go to Dick's and will continue to do so as long as the store keeps up their high standards of customer care and variety of items. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this store. My 2 boys, my wife and myself visit frequently. The selection is awesome. The customer service is outstanding. I visited the store last month to purchase shoes for one of my sons. The following day my son Jordan could not find his phone. After re-tracing our steps and cheating using the GPS feature we called the store and they had found the phone and put it in the office. Jordan could not have been happier. I went to dicks last week and it was very easy! in and out all around great customer service I was very pleased with my time there. Most notably when I was checking out there was the kindest little cashier, she didn't have a nametag but she said her name was like Brooke or Brianna, something like that!
