I purchased a pair of Jordon Zion 1 shoes for my grandson on 7/1/2021. The air pocket broke and we traveled to the store today, 9/6/21 to get a refund and new shoes. We were told they do not take returns of shoes that have been worn, even if they are defective. They told us to contact Jordon directly and did not have any information on how or where to call or write. I will never shop at Dick's Sporting Goods in the future. Wow, this store is a real mess from cleanliness to getting help. Stuff was thrown all over the place in the soccer section. Items were torn apart and finding the right item was impossible. The whole store was a complete mess! It took me a really long time to find what I needed and the whole time I couldn't find anyone to help me. I actually called a friend while I was in the store who recommended I go there and he helped me figure it out via FaceTime. The store gives you zero direction on where to go. It's my first visit here and I think it was my last. You'd think a sporting goods store would be the best place to go but at least WalMart marks the areas your in! Absolutely HATE this store. They have NO customer service. My visit today was to exchange an item that my daughter received. The lines were long at the register so I approached a young lady in the Nike area to ask her the exchange policy, however she was so busy texting on her phone while looking like she was folding clothes and offered no assistance to help me. I'm furious as I'm wiring this and REFUSE to ever personally shop here and will go out of my way to shop somewhere that appreciates my business. I made 3 trips to the customer service register with no success and left with my product with no exchange. When I shared my feelings about the lack of customer service to the Softline Mgr, he offered me a card to call Corporate. WHAT? How about providing me some service right now, right here. ...it starts with the people in the store, not corporate, especially since you carry the manager title. I have to say the store is impressive on the outside, the service on the inside, not impressive. I have driven by Dicks many times, however I'm pretty loyal to Sports Authority, they are always eager to help you get what you need. I needed to get some 3 pound dumb bells for my daughter, and Sports Authority was sold out. I called Dicks in the afternoon asking for the 3lb dumbbells, I was told that they had plenty, almost a full rack. I had some dinner then off to Dick's. I went to the dumbbell rack, I saw just what I needed, then looking closer I could see that the Neoprene was cracking and peeling on all of the 3lb weights, The fact that many of the weights were in such bad condition was really surprising to see. I tried to find someone to help me, not much luck. I finally found the manager and asked for his help, I showed him the condition of the weights and he told me that they were not that bad. If I am going to buy something that is sold as new, I want it to be in new condition. That seems fair. read more

Wow! I have never been so impressed by a sports retail store! I had an issue with an item I had purchased from a different location. Josh was quick to let me know they would take care of my needs. The employees made us feel like VIP! My little eight year old baseball player felt like a pro with the attention William and Tina showed him. There was a great selection of baseball bats and they actually let him swing a few to see which bat felt best. Of course my little guy has exceptional (and expensive) taste. Shopping here is always a good experience for me. They have a great selection and do a good job rotating in sales. The employees are always happy to help me however I need. I especially appreciated Heather in the shoe department who went above and beyond to find me a particular clearance shoe in my size from another store, get them to honor the clearance price, and have it shipped for free. I waited close to 24 hours before writing this review to be sure I was rational. I don't like writing negative reviews and I don't when I have an opportunity to discussed a situation with the establishment so they can make it right. I attempted to do this last night and was not acknowledged by the manager on duty so hopefully a negative review will help to prompt changes in the store. First off, I've disliked shopping at this location for a while which is why I ordered online so that I only had to pick up. Joke was on me though since they couldn't find the order! The manager (Matthew) advised us to "just go pick another pair of cleats out of their stock". After finally getting assistance from an associate after tracking down the manager again, two of my sons three choices were not available. So frustrating! When I mentioned this to the manager he just walked away and told the associate to give us 25% off. Really? How about a little customer service instead? read more

I went to this store last night and had one of the worst experiences. I wanted to buy knee braces, i went first to the store in Tempe because it is the closest to my house, they didn't have my size for the brace i wanted so the gentleman called Gilbert's location to ask if they have it so that I don't drive all the way there for nothing. They said they had it (i needed 2 of them) and they placed 2 on hold for me. I drove all the way to Gilbert only to find out that 1 of the braces was the correct one and the other wasn't just because the employee was not responsible enough to read what was written on the box. I am so disappointed because they wasted my time, and if I called to make sure they had the product i would have expected a little bit more effort where the employee would make sure that he/she is giving correct info to the client. If i wanted it to be a trial and error i wouldn't have called before going there!! Ok, this is the first sporting goods store I have gone into here in Az. We where greeted at the door which was nice. It made it easier to fined what we went there for. It was up stairs, so I was very happy to see they had a elevator, because as always I had my dog Carmela with me so shecwas in a basket. Had a great experience buying my new mountain bike at this location. Bike service techs were knowledgeable about which bikes they had in stock, showed me all available models, and even installed the accessories I bought so that I wouldn't have to worry. NO customer service. This place is run by young kids who don't know how to work. The kid who 'worked' in the shoe dept actually dropped the measuring device on the floor in front of my child, then kicked it over in her general direction. He offered NO help with measuring or fitting or even finding socks. We struggled with the knotted laces, trying to figure out sizing on our own, then I came to my senses and walked out. This Dick's in Gilbert at San Tan mall is not maintaining their health measures to prevent the spread of Covid. One staff member was walking around the store with no mask and only put his mask on when a customer approached him. Several other customers were in the store without masks. Maricopa county still has a mandatory mask policy -duh. They are not cleaning dressing rooms between customers well. The whole store is like a super spreader Covid 19 event.
