Earlier today (02/07) we took our daughter (4 year old) to look for shoes at DICK's. She came upon these Bluey Crocs. She carried them around the whole store and had her heart set on getting them. When we got to the register the cashier told us that she wouldn't be able to sell them until the 24th of that month. Mind you there was a whole wall of Bluey Crocs. I understand that some products have blocks on them by the manufacturer and there's nothing the store can do. But they offered no apology to us or our visibly upset daughter. A manger walked over and offered the same explanation "there's nothing we can do". The manger did not offer us an apology either. This was their fault and they took no accountability, offered no apology, or anything to remedy the situation. Roomy, well stocked and spacious, what is not to like about this place? A lot of the stuff is on the lower end, with not the best build quality, however, suitable for many people .. The shoe selection here is pretty extensive... it's hard not to be able to find something that does not interest. I like a little elbow room when I'm shopping. I get that here... I really wish they had another level of quality on their gym shorts. Definitely need something with a liner in it, but also would like a pocket or two with a zipper... Obviously, no walls can hold the vast selection that is available online, but you can also get this stuff ordering through the store.. I take a size 14 on my shoe. Needless to say most places do not carry that large size. ...they did here. Some can be ordered up to size 15. Cool. I ordered a pair of Meton 9 workout shoes here. The breathability and stability of the shoe is fantastic! The next best thing to micro fans placed on the interior of the shoe to cool your foot off... :) The app let me check in for in-store pick up... and once I went to the proper area, I don't think I waited more than 30 seconds! Not bad, for spoiling people even further! September 30, 2025 4:30PM River Park DSG Called in to make sure a certain pair of shoe was available. Got there and had to wait about 20 minutes, with no one helping near the shoes area. Had 4 other customers waiting too. We were basically staring at each other, like it's not that busy why is there no employee in the shoes area. I waived an employee down, but she basically was like it's not my area. I then called the front desk through 'my personal phone' for help. Now an employee finally came to the back shoes area. Her name was Mikayla, she got to the shoe area and basically tried to lie to me that employee Dominic was there the whole time. I explained to her, like really lady everybody been waiting for about 20 minutes with no damm service, no employees even in sight, and you want to lie. C'mon, whoever the manager is they needs to teach customer service. First thing Mikayla could have said should have been sorry for the wait how can I help you. Don't be trying to make the customer look like fool. Also, why do you need 4+ people at the check stand? 12/3/23 Great experience! Greeted upon entering and showed a worker of the runners pepper spray I wanted to get. The worker was great and directed me to the very back left side. When I got there another worker was happy to show me where they were. Got it and went to checkout. Great holiday music playing and Dicks is decorated with cute little decorated trees, etc. Holliday ready! =) Paid for the order and the worker was kind. Steve (old man in the golf section with glasses), will not let you use the putting green. With Christmas on the way, I figured I would test out a few putters to see what I may like to see under the tree. Apparently use of the putting green is a safety hazard or u didn't look like I made enough money to afford one which is odd to me. Do yourself the favor and don't come here. There are more dangers in the store including tumblers overhead on shelves, baseball bats, and various sports equipment. Just a sad excuse to say no. I understand christmas shopping can be hectic for retail workers, but waiting over 30 minutes for 1 pair of shoes is unacceptable. I came on 12/22/25 around 7pm. I asked for a pair of shoes and they took my size (an 8.5 in women's). About 10ish minutes pass by without getting my shoes so I ask again. Another 10 minutes pass and I've yet to get my shoes. I see a worker comes out with a shoe of the same brand but they announce size 7 in men's. I honestly thought okay they're busy I'll wait a bit more. Another 5 min pass by and still nothing! So I ask a different worker and it takes him about 8 minutes to get my shoe. While waiting, Im seeing others getting their shoes immediately! When the worker hands me my shoe, he opens the box and tells me 7 in men's again, only to find out they've been saying the men's size on top and not the one at the bottom which was an 8.5 in women's! The size was miscommunicated to me, I had never asked for the shoe size in 7 men's, I specifically told them 8.5 women's. So it was available this whole time, however the size was incorrectly announced in men's. I was on the verge of tears because of the stress, I understand it's holiday shopping, however waiting 10 minutes for a pair of shoes let alone over 30 minutes is completely unacceptable. read more

This is my favorite location to shop at, even though it's a little out of the way but it's worth the drive. The Dicks Sporting Goods on Shaw is not as friendly and helpful. This location is always stocked, organized and has helpful friendly staff! When I saw an item I wanted on their website earlier in the week I saved a pic of it. I called this location later and I wasn't able to pull up the item again when the employee asked for a item #, he went above and beyond to find the item for me. I placed an order for in store pick-up. 2 days later I received an email that it could not be filled. The email contained an alternate product for a specific price and a discount code for my inconvenience. I went to the store and selected the alternate item they suggested. I get to the register and they tell me it is $7.00 more than the price in the email and the discount code couldn't be used. This is the second time I've had an issue with an advertised price then the item rings up for more. Watch the price you are being charged if you choose to frequent this store. I came in today and I wasn't acknowledged, so I already knew it was going to be a horrible shopping trip. I had only come to get my son new shoes and instead I ended up leaving upset and with no shoes! When I asked an employee for help with getting me a size, he looked at me and walked away without saying a word. Then when I saw him on the floor again, I tried asking for more help or for another employee. After asking a second time, he said he would look for the size i asked about, but I didn't see him again after that and still couldn't find other help. This staff is amazing. The manager kim and her staff handled a safety situation that we were involved in, they made us feel so safe and protected. They deescalated this situation very well and afterwards the staff members, such as Dwight, checked in on us to see how we were doing. Feeling safe while shopping in Fresno is so important, and not every business has a real plan when something goes down, but I'm really glad this staff was prepared. I will say this, Dick's Sporting Goods is very clean, organized and the sales associates are very nice, however in my opinion they are over priced and don't offer coupons. Their clearance and sale stuff isn't that much cheaper than the regular priced merchandise. I'm feeling very sad and just unhappy. Something so simple turned into a mess. I bought a Bike for my wife as a gift, she did not like it and decided she wanted to go In and pick her own. So 4 days later we went in and tried to exchange it. We where told there was a 24 hour return policy on Bikes. I looked on the receipt and could not find that. So I ask the Manager to show me where it said that on the receipt. He could not find it and told me it's on the website. I said why would I check the website when i didn't buy it in the website? He then told me I can exchange it for anther bike. The problem was they where all out of the women's bikes that my wife liked all they had where mountain bikes. Long story short, They would not give us store credit and said we could only get anther bike. So I ended up getting a bike for my self that I didn't even want. The service is terrible here. I understand you want to catch people stealing but you should be worried about helping people. As I walked into the store, presumably the manager was letting his team know that someone with a gray hoodie was suspicious. That's not even one of the worst parts. They left a sensor on someone's items, and the alarm kept going off. I saw the customer do his due diligence and check for a sensor himself. He had 4 bags and a box of shoes. I saw workers just standing there not even paying attention. I used to work in retail and understand times can be stressful. But this is the busiest time of the year. It doesn't change. The traffic might pick up every year but you should be prepared. And the Mindset should be different. read more

I've been in here quite a few times over the past couple of months and I've had a good experience. The store is huge and clean, well-lit, and pleasant to be in. I've found the service on the floor to be a bit hit-and-miss. One time an assistant looked right at me then tried to avoid going anywhere near me... but other times they've been pleasant and quick to help. But overall they've mostly been able to help. I had to buy a few cold-weather hiking items last month and was able to find what I needed, despite the weather getting hot here. I was also able to make a swift return despite my receipt being out of date. All in all, a good place to shop. read more

Unfortunately i would not recommend shopping at this location, especially if you are not 100% certain that what you are buying is something that you might need to return or exchange. My kids are young and just getting into sports and we obviously thought Dicks would be a great place to go for all their sports needs because they truly have a large selection of equipment and necessities. However the team of employees have made our experience with Dicks far less than enjoyable. Which is the unfortunate part because they have a lot of employees and im sure many of them are great, but the ones that happened to help me on the 2 transactions, including the manager, were definitely top 5 most terrible interactions i have ever had in a retail store. I needed to return an unopened, unused item, i had a receipt and everything and they refused it. Stating that because of covid they dont do returns. Manager said it was in the return policy. No other options, no helpful solutions, just a flat out nope! I called corporate they said that nothing he told me was correct and i should absolutely be able to return it. Im fairly certain that he is making up his own return policies because his bonus is calculated based on a metric related to loss attached to returns. Went to Dicks sporting goods to see what bicycles they have and walked out with one for myself and my husband. The contributing factor in making the purchase was the assistance we received from Todd and Yula. Todd showed patience, asked questions pertaining to how and where we will be using the bicycles, made recommendations, answered our questions, and gave us time to process the information. Decided to start riding mountain bikes again. Stopped at this location to see if they had anything decent. If you want something other than GT or Nishiki dont even bother. I ended up buying a GT and the guy who did the pre-sale safety check didn't really know what he was doing. Overall, I was content with my purchase, but had to completely go through the bike when I got home to make sure it functioned correctly and was safe.
