Great selection, always well stocked but I must admit the prices can be steep! You can pretty much find all things sports, outdoor, hiking, and fishing gear all under one roof. I remember years ago that they used to sell even camping equipment and items like hunting gear but it looks like they no longer carry such items based on my visit today. Nevertheless.....In all, a legit a legitimate sporting goods retailer with a wide selection of top-brand athletic gear. The store ioffers wide selection of popular brands, including Nike, Adidas, and North Face, as well as their own private-label brand, DSG. I did score on a pair of running shoes that were on sale and a decent price but decided to put my workout gear back as to. I know I can find better prices online. Price point set aside, I appreciate the variety of products and at least knowing there is a solid sporting good s store in the area. You can't go wrong here, searching for miscellaneous, sporting goods items. The staff here are very helpful with answering questions, locating items, and helping you navigate the store. read more

Extremely disappointing experience with Dick's Sporting Goods. I recently had knee surgery and was unable to leave my house or drive for an extended period of time. I am a volleyball coach and regularly tell all of my players to shop at Dick's Sporting Goods. My husband is also a basketball coach and recommends Dick's to his players as well, so our family has spent a significant amount of money with this company over the years. I had purchased knee pads in both a medium and a small. My daughter tried on the medium, which fit, and never even tried on the small. I was still within the 90-day return period and simply wanted to exchange the unused, brand-new small pair for a different size. Because of my surgery, I could not drive until my doctor medically cleared me. The closest Dick's Sporting Goods is an hour away, so once I was finally able to drive, I made the long trip and spent a considerable amount of money on gas just to make this return. Not only did they refuse to exchange an unused item that was still within the 90-day period, but the manager was extremely condescending and rude about it. I was not asking for a refund or trying to return something used. I simply wanted to exchange an unused pair of knee pads for the correct size. After years of recommending Dick's Sporting Goods to my athletes and spending money there myself, this experience has seriously changed my opinion of the company. The policy may be the policy, but the way this situation was handled, especially by the manager, was completely unacceptable. Customer service and common sense should matter, particularly when a customer is making a reasonable request under unusual circumstances. read more

Wasted 45 minutes in the shoe area for shoes they said they had but ultimately did not. Do not come here for athletic shoes.

Bought a pair of $300 shoes for my upcoming marathon, took them home, ran in them and they destroyed my feet. So naturally I tried to go back and exchange them for a different pair and was told they couldn't resell them so I had to eat the cost. No DICKS, you eat the cost! I am the customer. They offered me 10% off if I wanted to spend more money at their establishment. Go F yourselves! I used to spend a lot of money at this shithole establishment. Never again. read more

In my life, I had never been treated as well as I was by Jordan at the Falls Church location. She is the kind of manager who makes people genuinely want to keep coming back and shopping there. If I ever owned a company, I would want someone like Jordan leading my team. Not only her, but the entire staff was professional, welcoming, and attentive. Jordan is an outstanding professional and an example of true customer service leadership. Thank you so much, Jordan. You made this experience exceptional. Also thank you for Joshua the cashier, really professional too. Again Thank you so much Jordan!!! You may my Nurses day really wonderful. read more

DICK'S Sporting Goods - The best place to buy. - Sports Wear Near Me - Falls Church, Virginia

DICK's has been around since the late '40s, and they carry a great selection of apparel, shoes, accessories, and outdoor items. We stopped by this Bailey's Crossroads location to look for shoes, and we were impressed that they had a larger collection of specific brands, compared to department and specialty shoe stores. The staff here were actually pretty helpful and brought out shoes right away to try out. There could be more seating area, as it was super limited. Ample parking in the plaza lot. +friendly and efficient service +good collection of shoes +ample parking read more

Great experience all around...and for a weekend prior to start of surrounding Little League Baseball. There was a promotion for discounted items which you would think would be packed full of patrons and no stock of items. It was busy, but service was great. There were plenty of stock if not on the floor, then in the back. The checkout lines were fast as well with not more than 5-8 minute wait. Overall, was an easy shopping experience with plenty of selection. Would definitely be back. Enjoy! read more

Had to return a pair of shoes, spent almost an hour trying on 2 brands of shoes with the help of Chase he was happy to help and return over 8 shoes. Towards my last pair I decided on one more brand, that's where Kent stepped in to help. Decided on a gray and the first pair of QU shoes? The associate Katy didn't remember me and didn't have my return any more, she was able to look up the purchase from my son 's account and exchange them. I also purchased another pair. Not sure why the full amount he paid $179 wasn't credited vs $164 but didn't ask. Exchange hoka @ $179.34 But got exchange of $164.99 Bought $149.99 + $159.99 owed $149.24. Nothing was explained but was happy to get them exchanged. Nice store, well stocked and friendly associates. read more

I just want to give a huge shoutout to Kent at Dicks Sporting Goods! He was absolutely amazing during our visit. We took a while to decide on what we wanted, but Kent was nothing but patient, kind, and so friendly the entire time. He never once made us feel rushed, and he even kept us laughing with his great sense of humor. Foot Locker is lucky to have him on their team, and I truly hope he gets the recognition (and promotion!) he deserves. Thank you, Kent, for your kindness and professionalism--you made our day! read more

It is disappointing that a large retailer like this no longer accepts phone calls. The phone number listed on the website and on email correspondence simply leads to a recorded message saying that Dick's appreciates my business (just not enough to answer a phone call to answer a simple question about the status of a bike assembly for a bike purchased there). It's a new low in customer service when a company no longer even picks up the phone. read more

There is no value to a brick and mortar store when there is such little diversity in the variety and sizing of the stock. I came to look at baseball gloves and just wasted my time sorting through displays where there was virtually no association between type of glove and especially sizes on rack/peg labels and what was actually on display. (Whole sections that should have had 13 inch gloves had just 12.75, 12.5, or 11.75 gloves.) In fact, for mid price (under $200) gloves, the variety was poor, and there were only one to two sizes of each glove on display. Displays had no information about the utility of the different gloves and how to find the best fit. Of course, no human help was to be found nearby. read more

went to register to purchase a $55 pair of Nike sweats for a gift. I was also making a return of lower value when the difference seemed larger to me than it should've been, so I questioned it. The computer rang it up at $60 and I had to point out the difference . I asked the manager for an explanation. Why this happened and what he would do for Customer Service to make up for this error. All he said was they've been price increases in the computer and the price tags don't reflect them. who knows how many people are being unknowingly overcharged today. They're parking lot is full. Buyer beware check the ticket price on the item and check the computer. They're definitely overcharging us. unethical . read more

Worst return policy ever (and definitely lie about it). Tried to return $150 worth of gifts from Christmas. No receipt so knew I was going to get screwed. All three items "rang up" as being sold at their lowest for $2. $6 dollars was all they could offer. Any who has ever shopped at Dicks Sporting Goods knows you can't get a damn thing for $2, ever. I'm calling B.S. on their return policy. Going back to buying from Amazon. read more

weird workers. i went to this dicks with my older brother and we were having a good time you know like my brother just wanted to check if they had any sales yet for black Friday. But we hear a worker say "i'm not your mother but" we were confused so we turned around and she says "where are your shorts" how it's weird for me to wear shorts in this weather even thought i was wearing a rlly big hoodie and my brother replies yeah she was just saying she was cold. we think the conversation was over but she continues to add on. she starts saying how they're weirdos in the world that feed off of what i'm wearing and saying i shouldn't wear it, and im a child mind you i'm wearing an oversized jacket that goes down a little bit before my knees and slippers i was disgusted by her saying these as a minor and this wasn't even it. she comes up to us again and asks if my dad knows what i was wearing and my brother replied with "he does thank you" and even though their was another coworker standing there she didn't say anything to her after she said this. i'm so grossed out from a person over 18 saying this and me under 18 i don't know what to do i'm so thankful for my brother being there. read more
