I brought a Speedo swim suite six months ago for $74 from Dick's Sporting Goods. The fabric is separating and sagging. I tried to exchange the swim suite and the manager only cared about the expired return date. He was very condescending and could care less about my problem. I was at the Dover, DE store yesterday in which I purchased a brand new TaylorMade Qi35 Max driver for $599.99 brand new. When I used the club today, it broke in half completely. I went all the way back to the store, which is 45 mins each way, to which they were no help. I believe Dave was his name, the manager, who told me to contact TaylorMade directly and go through some warranty. They would not even help with contacting TaylorMade which is what the attached says to do. I am distraught that my brand-new top of the line club would break in such fashion and instead of the store making it right and providing me either a refund, or a different club, they did not & are telling me I have to contact TaylorMade personally. That may take weeks, and they may not even replace it. I simply do NOT want a replacement of the same club; I want a refund or a DIFFERENT driver which I explained to the store associate, and they would not do. Why is it that on top of being out on an item I just purchased yesterday for a significant amount of money, I also have to go through a 3rd party and wait weeks for a replacement, that I DO NOT WANT & they might not send. It is beyond me that a product I purchased a day ago IN STORE I cannot refund or replace. I am extremely disappointed and will NEVER be taking my business to this company again. read more

I bought two pair of Nike sneakers. Within two weeks one of the pairs I was wearing started making a sound and was an obvious defect in the shoe. I called thinking I was going to be able to get a full refund and or another pair of shoes. The store manager informed me that I would not be allowed to do that unless the shoes were in pristine condition, no marks, no scuffs, etc. Well now that's an unrealistic expectation. Who wears sneakers and doesn't mark them up? So basically I thought I was stuck with a defective shoe and this unrealistic return policy. So frustrated I called customer service line and they assured me I could return the shoes. I had them call the store manager and he was not happy about it but he told me, "I guess if customer service says I have to return the shoe I have to return the shoe." So basically the store manager is going against a nationwide policy. When I returned the shoes the cashier began to spit the same policy out, telling me I couldn't return them. I told her that I had spoken to the store manager on the previous day and that he said I could bring them in. After some snarky remarks back and forth she responded, "oh you're the one he was talking about." Well, THAT's really good Customer service! NOT! I will never buy shoes from that store again. They lump you into a category as if you're trying to get over on them automatically without listening to any reason about what's going on. Beware!! African American's should never go to this establishment! The employees don't respect their AA customers, are prejudice and racially profile black people. If you're a AA wearing anything Nike and a brand they sell in the store, BEWARE they will assume you're a thief and stole the item and call the police on you with no evidence but only the fact you're black! I experience what shopping while black is on August 13,2022 when I took my kids school shopping. I was with my mother and children, we walked through DICK's to get to the mall and on my way , I saw this really cute mini Nike back pack and thought it would be a great bag for my 2 year old son. His birthday is on the 22nd and he is going to be a big boy and it would be nice to carry his sippy cups and toys. After searching for a register and no help, I finally found a store employee and they showed me a available registe. After I paid for the back pack, I asked the cashier if she can cut the tag off because I wanted my son to wear it. She was very nice and cut the tag off, aftereaees I put his backpack on him, he was excited and I was too. After we left Dicks, we went shopping at several other stores, JC Penny,Boscovs,Victoria Secret, after walking around for so long, we was all exhausted and decided it was time to leave. We had to walk through Dicks to get to the parking lot. After walking to the car, we put our bags in it and was ready to go. We had a great time and was in a great mood but this is when things get ugly. After I out my son in his cars seat, I heard my daughter say it's the Police! I didn't think nothing of it, as kids they was looking out of the window curious as to why the police was there. This is when things take a turn for the worse. Everyone is in the car,buckle in and I I get in my car, and I heard my kids say the police is running in our direction, I looked and I saw a Dover police officer coming to our car. He walked to the passenger side of the car where my mother was seated and My mother asked politely "May I help you?" and the officer began to say "I got a report that you stole a back pack". Everyone in car looked around in shock, be ause we didnt steal anything and I couldn't believe it. After a moment it dawn on me that the only back pack they could be talking about is the one I purchased from Dick's! I explained to the officer the only backpack we have is the one I purchased and I have my receipt! At this point my mother and I was very upset and couldn't believe this was happening to us! I went in my wallet and had several receipts I had to look through and after finding my receipt for the backpack, I handed the officer my receipt. He looked at the receipt but acted like he couldn't read it. He obviously didn't know how to read a receipt and looked dumbfounded. After viewing my receipt he didn't let us go but wanted us to go back into Dicks so they can verify my receipt because he couldn't read it, I was livid! I didn't steal anything and I give him a receipt and he still wouldn't let us go! He told me I'm detained and must go inside. My children was so terrified! After feeling furious and humiliated walking back into Dicks's they scanned my receipt and they looked real crazy when they saw the backpack was purchased! I returned the back pack and got my money back! The manager was standing there and when I asked him why would he think a backpack I purchased at the store was stolen he couldn't give me a explanation nor did he apologize. The look on his face when I asked him "When you see a little black boy wearing a Nike back pack, the 1st thing you think is to assume it's stolen? "Is It suspicious for black people to wear Nike and to come into your store?" The look on his face after my receipt was verified. The officer and him did the walk of shame and walked away looking crazy. And the crazy thing about it is the manager was a BLACK MAN. It shows how even people of color uphold racial prejudice and stereotypes about people of their own race. I called him a uncle Tom to his face as he is. It's sad when a black family can't walk into a business and purchase merchandise from that business and not be harrassed and have the police called on them for of the color of their skin. My son is only 2 going on 3 and already had a taste of what it's like to be a black in America. I returned the backpack and got my money back! I went online and bought the same book bag for $35.99, it was more money than the 1st one but I'll rather spend more money than to spend money at a establishment that allows the employees to harrass black customers and have prejudice employee's! Now my son is just 2 going on 3 and witness 1st hand what it is to be a BLACK MAN and how society views us. We're one of the biggest consumers and spend money but even that won't stop there employees from racially profiling us. read more

Not that the manager cares, but we arrived at 11AM looking for shoes. Couldn't get the gait analysis-- only one person does that and they were out to lunch. Someone who was sort of familiar with shoes tried to help us but it says a lot about the chain that they only have one shoe person on at a time. Maybe they expect you to schedule an appointment? Maybe if you don't know what you need you should go to a real shoe store. Good to know read more

I like dikes sport and goods because you have good gear and cool ‍ and I like your footballs and football gear.

Dick's definitely has the "balls" to overprice their items. They must be nuts to think that someone would pay these prices. Taint nothing you can do , so you're better off scratching that itch somewhere else. On the positive side, they have a great selection of phallic sports gear, such as baseball bats and a great selection of jock straps to handle your own personal set of balls. read more
