I like this place, but I don't think I'm their preferred demographic. I'd shop here more often if they had a better selection of bird seed.

They had a good selection of toys and treats, dog collars, pet food for a variety of animals, and pretty much anything else you'd need for a dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, duck, etc. The store is well-organized and they have cute magnets/decorations too!

Service, selection, and a lot of choice! WOW! I often saw this business in the Clippers magazine…read moreand wondered, main street of Camden? There is a main street of Camden? I had no idea. On the day we had a mother of weather day, I went. WHOA. From the outside looks like a typical corner store. Walk inside you and find varieties of healthy food for cats and dogs you never knew existed. Way cool dispensers for your pets to help them slow down, educational/positive toys for activating their brain, treats and TONS of everything. Here's the perks, you provide your phone number and for each dollar spent you get a lot of points towards other items when you return. They provided me two samples of dog food to try that seem crazy healthy (see images) and they offered a lot of details on bonus offers. I love the fact that there are tubs in the back you can wash your dogs THERE with supplied shampoo and items for $9.00 and the stainless tubs are awesome. That is a GREAT offer. The grooming services are NOT unreasonable at ALL and the feel inside the store is one of being at home - which you want with any pet. LOVE this find on a dismal winter day, it made all much much more positive!

Very disappointed with Lady's grooming this time! We couldn't even recognize who she was!…read moreWe asked for a teddy bear cut and she was returned looking like she was skinned. We are requesting that Sam who stated he was the new groomer manager NEVER groom her again. If groomer cannot fulfill the request at drop off, then a call should be made to allow owners determine if services should be continued. We have been coming for over a year, and this is the first time we encountered such poor service. Greatly disappointed and will post photos.

‼FUR BABY's HAS REVIEWS TURNED OFF ON THEIR PAGE, SO I DECIDED TO SHARE MY REVIEW HERE…read more Let me start by saying that we had used Fur Baby's services, on and off, for over two years. I was searching for a place for my french bulldog puppy to stay and socialize when he was younger and I was working long hours. He had several successful stays with them and even boarded with them before. In January, I had to go out of town for several days, and needed a place for my baby to stay. He is now a two year old, well adjusted pup, who has stayed and played in more than one playcare situation without issues. I dropped him off on a Thursday, healthy and happy. I got the call no pet owner wants to get on Friday morning... I could hear my dog in distress in the background as the staff member was trying to explain that he was "suddenly" in respiratory distress. He had been playing and "all of a sudden" seemed like he was struggling. I was in a panic, states away, as she was asking me what I would like her to do. It was tough to decide, only hearing and not seeing, the level of his condition by phone. She was about to offer him water, which is NOT something you should do when an frenchie is overheated and in distress. I asked her to keep him in a quiet space for a little bit and see if he was able to recover. She said she would call me back in about 30 minutes to see if he had improved. The next phone call I got was from an emergency vet, about 15 minutes later. Boulder was brought in (by the Fur Baby staff, without my knowledge), almost lifeless. According to the veterinary staff he was barely breathing and was turning blue. They called to get permission to intubate him in order to try to save his life. Over the next few hours I played phone tag with the vet as they told me the only thing that would save him was luck and prayers. Fortunately for us, the vet was top notch, and he was able to recover and eventually breathe on his own. We almost lost our happy, healthy 2 year old puppy....and we still don't know why. I know that my dog can overheat and struggle when he plays EXCESSIVELY for extended periods of time in very hot weather. He would have had to have been in distress and gone unnoticed for a considerable amount of time to end up in the condition he did. The women on the phone from Fur Baby's admitted that they know there were notes in his file that alerted staff to pay close attention, that he needed to limit his play time and level of play...but still, he ended up in distress. Although they refunded the remainder of the days he didn't stay (upon MY request), there was no other follow up to check on the welfare of my dog, no explanation or apology for what happened, and a very large vet bill to pay. Check the google reviews...other pet owners were not as fortunate and lost their dogs in similar unexplained incidents. I understand that issues arise, things happen, but please think carefully about putting your dog in a large "playcare" situation while you are away! Especially dogs that require expert care!

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAT FROM THEM - I was sold an extremely sick cat (conjunctivitis, upper…read morerespiratory infection, ear infection and 2 parasites) AND the wrong gender cat - I purchased a boy and got a girl. Spent almost 2k in vet bills and no response from them about the refund. I'm opening a law suit if anyone wants to join me Trinity (her name is Good Night now) was purchased as a MALE cat, and I made sure to double check with Maria that it was a male cat which Maria did confirm it was a male cat. During the whole time before pick up everyone in the company was very responsive and helpful. The day arrives and my husband flies all the way to NYC to pick the cat up - mind you this is a 6h flight. We have been communicating since the beginning to make sure everything went smoothly. He arrives there 3h in advance to make sure he has enough time to pick up the cat, check back in to his plane back. The problem started there: the breeder arrived SUPER LATE, giving my husband 20 MINUTES only till the departure of his plane. He had no time to talk to the breeder at all. The breeder gave him eyedrops "in case her eyes get dry" and pills "in case she gets sick on the plane". It was a super stressful situation because my husband had to beg people at TSA line to let him go through or he would miss his flight - mind you a 500$ flight ticket. Luckily people were nice to him and allowed him to go through and he made it, barely. So he gets home and I instantly notice this cat is not okay. It's eyes are oozing pus and it's sneezing nonstop. We bring it to an emergency hospital the next day and we found out that the cat has conjunctivitis, an upper respiratory infection AND an ear infection. AND WE ALSO FOUND OUT THE CAT IS A SHE!!!!! When I made sure to confirm it was a male cat because I wanted a male cat specifically. That's when the vet bills started pilling up. First vet bill is $395.64. As the days go by, she's taking her meds but she starts to have some diarrhea. Some days her stool is fine, some days it's liquid. We assumed it was stress, new house and etc so we try to heal her with some probiotics made for diarrhea. It's a constant in and out of the diarrhea situation. As we are trying to talk to you guys to get the refund for her vet bills, the diarrhea gets worse and we notice blood in her stool. At this point her stool is literally a clear jello and she also starts vomiting. Me and my husband BOTH miss a full work day to sit with her at the pet emergency care hospital yesterday, nov 3rd. She gets all tests done. Another $719.24 bill. So far we're at $1114.88 paid OUT OF POCKET, not counting with the diarrhea medication and special food we purchased to try to get her better in the mean time, or the lost days of work me and my husband had to take to bring her to the hospital. We're both under a line of work that if we don't work, we don't make money. Today I get a call from the vet stating her tests are back and she tested positive not for one, but for TWO parasites that, according to her vet she had it before she came to us, and that's why she has been having diarrhea since the day we got her and because neither her or any of my other cats have any contact with the outside world. And all my other cats are extremely heathy and never had any health issues at all. And as for today, when I left my work earlier to pick up her meds, the total bill for today's meds were $209. Which brings our vet bills total to $1323.88. Mind you I have another cats - what if they get sick too??? Do you have ANY IDEA on how serious this situation is?? And then I email you as you requested and I don't get any answer back? So I brought the issue to my lawyer and he's ready to work with me on this case with me. According to him this is an easy win, so he's just waiting me on my GO, but because I'm VERY NICE I wanted to try talking to you one last time before I proceeded with more drastic measures. So like I said in the beginning, this is my last attempt towards this matter. If I don't get AT LEAST the total amount of vet bills/meds deposited into my account by the end of the week we will proceed with my lawyer to get this solved up within legal matters. It's ILLEGAL as a breeding company to sell a sick cat to a customer. I got an extremely sick cat and THE WRONG gender cat and you guys are doing nothing to help me. If this was my company I would never allow this to happen to any client. This is completely absurd and infuriating. And if any of my other cats get infected by these parasites I will be contacting you again to request refund for their treatments as well.

My husband and I have been loyal customers of Concord Pet since we got our first dogs in 2002. Over…read morethe course of the last two decades we have given a home to 17 dogs and eight cats. We currently have two puppies, a year old, an older dog, and three cats. Concord Pet has been our go-to place for all things related to our dogs and cats. We have spent thousands of dollars, first at the now-closed store on route 213 in Elkton, and then the Middletown store (approximately the past 12 years). We were well-known to the manager, past and present, given the volume of food we buy. Our standard brand for dogs and cats has been Grandma Mae's Country Naturals, grain free, large bags for dogs, approximatey $75/bag. The last two bags we purchased were in July, during their sale. Our practice is to empty the bag into a clean, closed container so that it stays fresh ,and to discard the manufacturer's bag. As we were feeding the second bag of whitefish kibble to our dogs, I noticed they were uninterested in it. I tried other toppings over a few days to entice them to eat. Nothing got them interested. It occurred to me that the kibble was spoiled. On 8/4 I brought the food back to the store. Heather, the manager and two other associates were there. They told me I could not return the food without the bag as they would not receive any credit from the manufacturer without the bag. I explained my situation and that in the 20+ years of being a customer, this was the first return I needed to make. They said they could do nothing without the bag. I asked if a store credit or other consideration could be made for a long-standing customer. They laughed at me and said there was nothing to be done without the bag. (Each bag is scanned upon purchased and entered into their system for discount after a certain number of purchases, so in my way of looking at this, all they needed to do was to look up our account, see the whitefish bag that was purchased during their sale and they would have the barcode scan then needed, but this was not done.) On 8/9 I reached out to the website's customer service and said I had a customer experience I'd like to discuss. I asked to be in touch with the reginal manager of the Delaware stores. On 8/11 I received a response from Kristine in Customer Service that she shared my email with the store manager and the next level up and I would receive a response from one of them. (I was not interested in speaking to the Middletown store manager, as she was the lead person with whom I had the interaction.) On 8/16 when I had not received a respons by either the Middletown store manager or the next level up, I reached out again to Kristine. I received two responses from Customer Service, one from Kristine, who said I should call the Corporate Office, as they handle customer complaints (different from her first response that I would be contacted), and another response from Christina saying that the senior leaders were out of the office and to "rest assured" I would be contacted. When I had no response by Friday, 8/25, I decided to call the Corporate Offices and spoke to Michelle, who said she fields calls for the owners. She very carefully asked questions, agreed that my experience was not a good one and said that she would speak to the owners, and that I would hear from her directly the following Monday, 8/28, even if it was to say that she had not been in touch with owners and had nothing to report. She repeated this several times. Today is Wednesday, 8/30 and still I have no response. I am amazed that 1. I had to go through so much trouble for one bad bag of dog food with a 21- year track record of substantial spending in this chain and 2. I got conflicting messages despite multiple touch points on my part. My husband and I try to buy local, whenever possible, as he was once a small business owner, and we know how much it means to do business with a local business instead of a web-based company. Given my experience, I will be reconsidering.
