As someone who loves to shop but really tries to do so sustainably, this store checks every single box for me. Amanda is incredibly intentional about what she brings into the shop--you can tell she takes her time curating pieces rather than just filling racks. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen, wearable, and special. Whether I'm popping in just to browse or actively hunting for something specific, I almost always leave with a new favorite. Beyond the clothing, Albany & Avers is such a fun and welcoming community space. Amanda hosts the best events--vendor markets, themed pop-ups, and even listening parties (yes, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift included). It makes shopping here feel like more than just shopping; it's an experience. If you're into vintage, sustainability, or just want to support a local shop that genuinely cares about what they do, this is a must-visit in Dundee. One of my favorite spots, hands down.

Albany and Avers was apart of the Women's Market but I didn't get a chance to shop there during the event, and I'm glad this was my first introduction. i would definitely classify this as a vintage store, and not thirft. These are high quality and cared for pieces. Every display is very thoughout and flows well through the stores. I found really beautiful skirts, boots, and dresses. Upstairs I saw a lot of great art work and unique hats and even art! There is a small try on room so you can see how the pieces fit before you commit. There was a bachelorette party walking through the store, and I thought what a fun activity and the perfect place to go with your girlfriends. The clerk at the front was super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

2 Stars - Scheels is great overall, but not for hockey…read more Scheels is a great store for a lot of sporting goods, but if you're looking for hockey equipment, I would honestly recommend going somewhere else. My son recently started getting into hockey, and we went there hoping to get some help with skates and gear. Unfortunately, it was clear pretty quickly that the hockey department just doesn't have staff with much hockey knowledge. Whether it was skates, sticks, or general equipment questions, there really wasn't anyone who seemed confident or experienced enough to help. The most frustrating experience was when we purchased skates and were told they had been sharpened by the Scheels staff. After my son had a very negative experience on the ice, we took the skates to a rink, and the staff there confirmed the blades had not actually been sharpened. That kind of thing makes a big difference, especially when someone is just starting the sport. If you're serious about hockey equipment, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that specializes in it. Prices are very competitive elsewhere, and the staff actually care and know what they're doing. Pure Hockey on 72nd is absolutely worth the trip. Scheels does a lot of things well, but hockey just doesn't seem to be one of them.
