It's a thrift type design, so it does depend on what people bring in to sell, but I've never had a hard time finding what I need. They have blade sharpening if you want to bring in your own skates, or they have a huge variety of hockey skates and some figure skates available to buy. Recently, I went in to look for soccer gear. I found matching adult and child soccer balls for my niece and I, and a pair of little cleats for her. They had a huge selection of kids soccer cleats and a good selection of adult ones, too. Pricing is fair, much lower than you'll find buying new and the quality of items is generally very good. The cleats were $15 for small kids cleats, and they were in great condition.

I stopped in to look at hats as I lost a hat recently riding on the train. The thing about this place - they have really great prices when things are on sale, but in my opinion the regular prices can be high. I have a lot of clothes from here because they - get this - have women's jeans and cargo pants that have deep pockets! And as a bonus, MOST of them don't reveal my backside when I bend down. Though one pair of jeans did so make sure you try things on. Sizing can be inconsistent or strange. Their shirt sleeves are usually not quite long enough for me. Their cargo pants are available in 3 lengths (each 1 inch apart). I wear the medium length. Since I am 5'9", I think average-sized women might have trouble getting the right length in pants (though the shirt sleeves might be good). Also, these knit hats. I love them, I have (had) 4 of them. But 2 of them stretched out so much I had to put some stitches in them. And maybe I should have done that on the other, maybe I wouldn't have lost it on the California Zephyr.

I did find one New Balance that was significantly marked down and I liked the colors and tread wear. The unfortunate side was they only had larger sizes and the two other shoes that were available in my size did not appeal to me with comfort and support. However, my wife gave me a marvelous leather coat from the Buckle for Christmas, and it has been my go-to coat all winter. It is one of the best. We are here this afternoon because a pair of denim pants she bought here began to separate at a seam after just a couple of months. They have taken marvelous care of her. She's very happy, and ominously told me that she would be back again to buy more clothes here. Actually, right now, she's already looking at their shoes. I'd better plan on some overtime. But hey, good service is what it's all about, and they have it here.
