It's so hard to find kind people when the world is going completely crazy. Imagine how we're all used to getting whatever we need instantly- but then the supply chain goes dry and you can't find parts at all. It puts a tremendous amount of pressure on everyone. Bike shops are all dealing with irritated customers who don't understand why things aren't in stock or why people can't always answer the phones. With everyone wanting a bicycle during lockdown and no parts being available, imagine the madness shops have to deal with in trying to stay open and satisfy customers while there are parts shortages. Somehow this team keeps their smile on, is helpful, and super awesome to deal with. AND they had what I needed in stock. A miracle. Elkhorn is lucky to have them. They refused…read moreto honor the warranty, even after the manufacturer (Specialized) reached out to them directly, confirmed the issue, and issued a credit to them for a simple chain replacement that would have resolved the problem. When Specialized explicitly told them it was a malfunction with the bike, the shop still blamed it on 'how I rode it' and did nothing to make it right. Unfortunately, they seem more interested in being right than doing the correct thing for their customers. I wouldn't recommend buying here if you expect reliable service and warranty support.

My boyfriend and I were bike shopping all day yesterday and went all over Lincoln looking for…read morebikes. We were looking for something used for him because I already have a bike and hate going alone. We have been to The Bike Rack before and knew that it had a selection of new bikes which was not exactly what we were looking for. It was the last stop at the end of our long day and we were in the neighborhood and thought we would just check it out. Our salesman, Brian, was so friendly and knowledgeable. He could tell right away that we weren't really in the market for a high-end bike, but continued to help us despite the fact that we were probably going to just look around and head home. He answered our questions and we cracked jokes back and forth. He then suggested that my boyfriend take out one of the bikes, just to get a feel for it. He found the right size and tried out a couple before finding one that was still way nicer than what we going to buy, but one of the more modestly priced bikes in the store. My boyfriend talked about how awesome it was when he took it out and seemed to be extremely happy with the way it rode. I then had to see for myself. If it was that awesome, I wanted to try it out. Brian helped me find the right size bike and put me on a Trek 7.3. I took it out down the sidewalk and was really really impressed. The bike really spoke for itself. It was a million times better than my rusty old high school bike I had at home. We went out down the side walk together and came back to the store with giant smiles on our faces. We left yesterday with two Trek 7.2 bikes. It was completely unexpected but so worth the money. We would have probably not purchased those two bikes without the wonderful service from Brian. He really did a great job without pressuring us at all. If anything, he made us excited to get out there. We have already been out riding twice and love our bikes. It was an awesome purchase and we are very happy.

I'm 5'5", which in the world of bikes puts me between between 24 & 26" wheel and usually a small frame, but at my height that can vary too. I have a 10 year old Cannondale & a 31 yr old Specialized Hard Rock but after a work injury, I struggled to throw my leg over lean on my hands. The Pedego team spent hours with me first learning to get comfortable with the heavier and then helping me find the perfect fit, a white Pedego Commuter which allows me to sit upright and travel 70 miles on one charge. I am elated w my purchase. Do to the nature of my injuries I remain leery of long rides as they involve issues with cervical neuropathy & radicular pain. The City Commuter allows a variety of sitting & leaning positions with the handle bars, promising the most comfortable ride. If I am too far from home and pain sets in. They were able to service our bikes in a real timely manner and to our liking. We did have an issue with the back brake on a bike and had to take it back and it was a slight oversight but they quickly corrected and my husband got a tshirt out of it so I think he's extremely happy, he hasn't really taken it off since.
