Took my son's bike in to get the gears looked at. Everyone there was super helpful, very knowledgeable, told me what was wrong with the bike and gave a fair estimate for repair, also had the bike fixed in a timely manner. read more

The best thing we can say about this place is the personal service and concern for the customer is getting the product best for them. We have bought things from them twice, bikes and then some additional gear. The salesperson who sold us the bikes was great listening to our situation nd finding and then finding what we would use in our price range. Also steering us away from others with valid reasons would not suit us. Be aware that their extra gear is expensive. read more

Snagged a pair of Trek Marlin mountain bikes at Cycle Works for my wife and me. Perfect bikes for our cross training and hitting trails. Second round of bike purchases from Cycle Works. They take time. Educate. Guide. Awesome and caring employees! Just took our Marlins in for a post 150 mile check. In and out effortlessly. Love supporting local businesses and Cycle Works is our bike shop and store! read more

I totaled my car a year ago and have been reliant upon using my bicycle since then. I have gone countless times to Cycle Works to get my inner tubes changed and each time they were extremely helpful, patient, and efficient with time. After countless times I finally took the advice they had been giving to get "slime tubes" which has been a game changer for my frequent flat tires. Went in again after a long period away and they still remembered me and were just as courteous as ever. They have even helped with minor repairs that I couldn't fix on my own without even charging a dime for the adjustment. Would give more stars if I could. read more

A+ customer service. I had my bike shipped from Florida to Cycle Works in Lincoln for Gravel Worlds. The staff at Gravel Worlds were extremely helpful and friendly. Not only did they help me plan the entire process of getting my bike there and ready to race, but they also called me to let me know My bike had arrived and then that it had been assembled. When I picked up my bike everyone was so nice...they made sure the bike was exactly like I wanted it and it was perfect. Will definitely use them again and would highly recommend!! read more

Excellent customer service. I have utilized this company's service for 2 years. Very happy.

Attached is a pic of a freshly tuned bike. For $70 you would think the loose dirt could be cleaned from the cogs, chain rings, and derailleur wheels but apparently not. Pretty disappointing. read more

Cycle Works - I paid for this? - Bikes Near Me - Lincoln, Nebraska

Cycle Works, you guys are amazing! I love my new bike and I am so happy and grateful for the service I received from you. The staff at Cycle Works is genuine about their craft and excited for others who are just as passionate - whether you are just starting out or been cycling your whole life. Not only did I get professional and honest opinions for my needs and skill level, but I also got a good deal on the price and accessories. I definitely did my research and visited local shops in Lincoln to compare. I even revisited all the shops- just because first impressions aren't always great. Again, Cycle Works proved to be the best. The other shops were okay, but do not compare to the knowledge and positive vibe at CW. They are smaller than CW, yet I felt ignored and had to wait around for assistance or just be acknowledged. At Cycle Works, Chris helped me right away. He was super understanding of what I wanted and was able to explain the specific components and differences of each bike. The employees here are available and friendly to all customers in the store. I came back on a busy weekend and the staff remembered me and the bikes I was considering. Nicole was happy to help me out while Chris was working with another client. I didn't feel pressured or rushed at all to hurry up and make a purchase. They understood it was a huge investment for me. These guys really know their stuff and they are fun! You don't get - or even expect -this kind of attention geared toward your shopping experience in any kind of retail store. Chris' product knowledge is extensive and his passion for the job really shows. This was a difficult decision-making process - price, color, quality - everything was important to me. He exceeded my expectations by taking an interest in my newfound interest for cycling and I really appreciate his sincerity and expertise. Chris even suggested and special-ordered custom accessories that really fit my style. When I purchased my bike, we celebrated by taking energy gel shots! Chris - "Yanni" - you are the bike master! I've had my bike for about three months now and the service continues to be excellent when I take my bike in for adjustments and tune-ups. I know I can trust the staff here to take care of my bike. Overall, Cycle Works has the best selection, most engaged staff, dependable and efficient follow-up care and an honest-to-goodness passion for their profession and commitment to customers. I'm sure you could go to another shop in Lincoln and haggle a bit to get the bike you want at the same price - but you won't get the time, commitment and service you do at Cycle Works! For me, making a bike purchase was an investment and I know my bike will be taken care of by good people for a lifetime! read more

The largest true bicycle shop in town. The largest bicycle showroom in town. All I could do was stand in the showroom and dream. I was in the market for a second bike. These guys had performed service on my wheels before. They did an excellent job, although the wait time was slightly longer than I would have liked. I suppose I can chalk that up to them being busy. However, I didn't buy a bike here. I was very serious about purchasing a higher-end Trek for my growing collection. I felt ignored by the staff present; not a big deal, but kind of a big deal if you're planning on spending $1,000 on a bike. The Ben Franklins and I didn't feel comfortable and went on our way. Cycle Works has been at 27th and Vine for as long as I can remember. I've met the owner before and I must say he is a classy dude who knows his stuff. Cycle Works carries everything from kids bikes to leisure bikes to professional road-racing bikes. The service department can be trusted. To put it simply, on this day it just didn't work out, but I will probably be back. read more

This is a very well run bike shop with a knowledgeable staff and tons of bikes. I went in for a set of tires and left with a new bike I love. They've since been very helpful with my unusual requests for specific situations that are out of the ordinary. read more

Great store and great staff. I recently bought my bike there (Trek 7.2 FX 2014) and the staff was super patient and helpful. A+ customer service - which is hard to come by. I would highly recommend Cycle Works. You won't be disappointed! read more

Recently purchased 2 bicycles from Cycle Works 1 for me & 1 for my daughter. Asked if there could be any movement on price since I was was buying 2 bikes which brought the total to over $2300 & all that got me was 1 free water bottle. 2nd reason for 1 star was when setting up my $1850 Bike they had scratched my handle bars to hell when putting in vice "A 101 on protecting equipment in vice, DUH!" Not to mention components were all over & the left side was installed in reverse order. As for the bikes I am happy but as far as Cycle Works goes they will NEVER see anymore of my money in their store. Google review has a similar review on damage to bike from store posted by another people. The only person that does damage to the bike should be the owner, period!!! The owner of store has tried to reach out to me but it basically was to tell me how long they've been in business, as well as to post something to help cover up my complaint... I recommend going anywhere but here. #BikeOn read more

Absolutely the best place to take your bike for service! Always fast, and complete! Their employees go above and beyond for you! Thanks again Cycle Works!!! read more

I have taken my bike here around five times. I keep thinking that my next service visit would go better and they keep proving me wrong. Won't go back. One example is I took the bike in for a tune up. Got it home and had to take it back immediately. They had messed up the brakes. Another time they had to order parts. Told me it would take a few days. A week later I was still waiting. Sadly, once it was finished the initial reason I took the bike in wasn't fixed. Sales folks are nice, otherwise this would have gotten a one star rating. read more

Great customer service in the service area. I was in and out and back on the road in no time. Thank you!

Cycle Works is my go-to bike shop in Lincoln. If you are looking for an entry level bike or something more higher end, this is your place. The mostly cater to adults but they do have a selection of kids bikes and kid trailers. I purchased a hybrid bike a couple years ago and was happy with the purchase. The salesman directed me to the right style of bike rather quickly. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. There is never any pressure from the sales people so you don't feel obligated to purchase anything. They don't cary all the brands of bikes but you'll find names like Surly, Trek and Giant. They carry styles of bikes like road, street, racing, mountain (29ers) and kids. They have a full time repair shop and they can do a lot of service while you wait. Tune-ups take a little bit of time. Call ahead to schedule an appointment. I tried walking in for a tune-up and I didn't the bike back for a week. That was probably the only negative experience I have had. Cycle Works also carries a large selection of accessories including saddles, helmets, clothing, bike racks, tools and replacement parts. The building is also connected to the Moose's Tooth, which is a must see for any outdoor (camping/hiking) enthusiast in the area. read more

Large selection and good service when I've been in.

Absolutely the best place in Lincoln for anything bicycle related. Employees are courteous and extremely accommodating. The excellent customer service is much appreciated! read more

I will only go off hearsay and give this shop the benefit of the doubt. I stopped in with a friend not to long ago just to browse. I have heard only great things from the place and I was eager to go and see it. I also have been looking for a place to service my bike because it was in major need of re-timing and cleaning ect.... Walked in, cool vibe, great selections of bikes. This all came down to a crashing halt when I tried to ask one of the techs about specifics on what would all be done and how much it would cost. He first ignored me when I asked for some attention, a simple excuse me was all I said. Then when I finally got his attention he seamed pissed. I picked up the vibe that he certainly didn't want to talk to me. I asked if he could just answer a few questions. He then told me that he was really busy and that there was other techs that could help me. I asked where and he said he didn't know. I finally just asked what the turn around time wold be and he told me 3 weeks. I believed it was an exaggeration of the truth and that he just wanted to get rid of me, Now, please keep in mind that I did go and visit this place at their peek business time. Weather is starting to get better and people are wanting there bikes fixed. I am sure he'd be whistling Dixie if I would have brought my bike into there in the winter. But still, this clown needs to understand that even if he has to time 20 million huffys, he still represents a business read more

Went there to purchase a bike and a trailer for our daughter. The staff completely ignored us and it wasn't because they were overly busy. Even at other stores you enter normally someone at least says hello.. Nothing. Also it was hard to differentiate who worked there and who was just shopping. We will not be back read more

I came here for bike maintenance. Their prices are not cheap but the quality of work seems quite high. So if budget is not a huge issue, this is a good place to go. You get what you pay for. read more

This place was exactly what I was looking for! I'm short and 52 years old, (recently have lost 65 lbs.:) and wanted a bike I was comfortable with so I could start an exercise regiment of cycling. The last bike I bought was a Schwinn with my high school graduation money in 1977 so I don't make this kind of purchase everday! Nathan let me ride the bikes outside the store...across the street where there was a gravel alley...since I live in the country and ride a lot of gravel roads. I tried several different ones, explaining how I like to feel when riding, and he helped me find the perfect bike. Granted the prices are more than I was expecting, but I hope this is the last bike I purchase for a long time..... Then I got home (100 miles away) and wished I'd have waited and ordered the white color, which is what I really liked but didn't want to wait 2 weeks to get it in. I called Nathan back and he was so understanding...said they'd take the bike back and order me the white one. I returned my black bike on a trip to Lincoln so they would have a better chance of reselling it while the weather is nice and patiently waited for my bike. Then he called 2 weeks later and said the white one had been discontinued.......I asked if he could possibly find one in another store or something and guess what....he did!!!:) They got the new bike in...transfered all the extras I had bought like lights and mirrors and had it ready for my son to pick up. Somehow the water bottle holder didn't get moved onto the new bike and now they are mailing that to me, free of charge. I dealt with several different people in all my transactions and they were all very friendly and cooperative. What a great place to deal with!! And my new bike is awesome to ride in the country. I went 8 miles the first time out. I love it!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for working with me!!! I'm excited to see where it takes me. read more

I've bought a few bikes from Cycle Works and they're the most reliable bikes I've had. You can't go wrong if you like Giant an excellent brand. I've had only good experiences and had some repairs done. It's a better business than the Bike Rack. read more

The reason for me to give one star is because google does not provide 0 star option. I have repaired my bike here two times in four days. First time my tyre was broken so I told them what I want is a new tyre. The repair doctor asked me rudely to wander around the store for ten minutes and repair work will be finished. Then what I got? A TOTALLY NEW TUBE! I emphasized that my tube is OK and what I want is a tyle, what happened finally was that he just asked what kind of tyle I want and 10 minutes later I paid 40 bucks FOR BOTH A NEW TUBE AND A NEW TYLE! Then three days later (in fact, I rode it twice in these three days) I found that the new tube might be broken again so I went back here to fix it. This time another doctor was on duty, and this time he told me that the new tube being replaced is too thin for heavy duty - Great, so now I have to pay another 20 bucks for this new tube! I am quite sure that this is my last time coming here to repair my bike and if you want to take your bike here for repair, please keep an eye on your bike when it is repaired. read more
