I went here to get some soccer shoes, a ball, some tennis racquets, and tennis balls. I would skip this place for minimalist running shoes, as they don't carry minimalist shoes. However, what seems to be nice about this location are the touchscreens to get a specific shoe selection. See something you like? Find it using the tablet (including size and variant), then request it. It will be forwarded to the staff working there, who will retrieve it and bring it over. Pretty efficient. Overall the store seems pretty clean, with shiny floors, as well as a large foot print; it has two entrances. The cashiers were also pretty friendly. We asked for some scissors to remove a tag, and they were able to come up with a solution. Parking is pretty straightforward. There are some trees for shade. read more

This is an incredible sporting goods store. I suspect if you can think it, they have it. Currently, there are a lot of items for summer activities available. If you are going to hit the water, Dick's has you covered. They also carry many quality clothing brands. My only negative about the store is that I rarely saw employees. I was interested in the treadmills, and there was no one around to assist me. Fortunately, the little information provided on the machines got me thru. That said, had I been with an employee who could have given me additional information, perhaps a sale would have happened. read more

Dick Sporting Goods in Cedar Park Texas-10/26/2024 Today was the first time and possibly the last time I shopped at Dick Sporting Goods, first I will like to make it clear that even though I lost what could had been a good deal, what really hurt and offended me was the way I was treated. I was looking for some new sneakers that may be on sale, and happened to notice a few shoes that had the sale tag on them and try 3 different pair one of them where a Jordan type(not really my cop of tea-but this caught my attention) after trying out and finally decided what to take , i then when to pay at the cash register- the young girl at the register did her job correctly - i happened to have a digital gift card given by my employer (with this cards -u first pick the store then redeemed them- because of the sale I chose DICKS), the girl applied the card and then I notice the amount was not what was promoted, I told the lady so she call her manager (TREY)to make the correction, when he came by his expresión and the way he looked at me was quite frankly racist -he when from a smile to a discus,,he had find out that there was a mistake they made and with no explanation just told me all that all he could do is give me a 10% mark down, and that's all he did, repeatedly without letting me talk, I could not believe it, I was getting upset but just decided to ask for my gift card back, the entire time it felt like they thought I put the sale sign on it-I even told him look at your cameras and checked who put the sign - I left the store and call the store main corporate line but they basically offered me the same no apologies or nothing. I've seen situations like this in other stores, with other people most time the stores honored the price , but also treat the customers with much respect, apology and decency. That day I lost twice because of DICK SPORTING GOODS, I lost a gift card of $40 that I could had used in another place but since is already been selected for used at DICK SPORTING GOODS, i won't be able to used it. Horrible service! Actually NO SERVICE! I was invisible I guess. This was the second time I tried to get help in their shoe department. No one ever approached me to see if I needed help. I picked up several shoes and kept looking around. There were 4 employees just standing around talking. Then one girl started walking to the back and two people stopped her and she offered to help them. I was holding a shoe and they came very close to where I was standing so I waited until she was finished with them. I totally expected her to turn to me because there was no way she couldn't have seen me. Well I guess she didn't because she turned and walked away. I couldn't believe it. I am an older person but I do have two feet, I am active and I even go to a gym. I was looking to purchase some new athletic shoes. But no one cared. It really hurt my feelings. I walked towards the exit of the store. I stopped and told two managers what had happened and they said they were sorry and they would talk to her. But they need to talk to ALL of them. I don't know what it is but once you get to a certain age, especially if you are a female, no one even looks at you anymore. It is sad and hurtful and disgusting. But this is the very last time I will go to Dicks. I usually buy nice gift cards for family members for Christmas and birthdays but no more. They need to train their employees that everyone deserves respect and kindness. read more

He helped my mom and I find all my last-minute Christmas gifts, delivered them to the front counter, made us laugh the ENTIRE TIME, and helped take them to my car! Well it's been a week since this happened and since I wrote this letter. I think it's a fair bet to say I won't hear back. So I thought I'd share my experience here. It's only about once a decade I have such a horrible experience it deserves a book. Mr. (Store manager), I am sitting in my car in tears outside of your store where I was treated more like a criminal than like a customer by one of your managers, (A---). About 40 minutes prior to my visiting the store, I had spoken to J--- by phone where he told me to return a defective bike I had purchased (I bought a bike for each of my children on the same day many months ago) and he would just return the purchase price. My daughter's bike (the same brand as my son's--has been absolutely fine since we bought it) but about a week after buying my son's bike the chain broke. We brought it in to get it fixed. Subsequently, the chain broke about 4 more times. Since it was the exact same issue experienced within the 60 days of purchase your store attempted to fix those multiple times. Each time they thought they had fixed it but it never was resolved. Today the chain was broken yet again when my son went to ride. Since we have dealt with this same exact issue on this same bike so many times I decided to call to see what a manager could do about it. J---- called me back and said to bring it in just for a cash return. I did not come up with that idea or even ask for it--he did. I said I would come in soon since I knew it would be easier doing the transaction with J----and neither he nor I would have to explain the whole long story of my son's chain issues. When I arrived, unknown to me, J---- was at lunch. Instead, A---- came to "help" me. I explained that J----asked me to come in to return the bike. Immediately, A---- was hostile toward me and I even asked why he was so angry with me. The cashier at 4 can attest that I was very taken aback by his tone and posture. As if my mere presence was an irritation to him. He repeatedly told me I'd have to get a gift card bc it was past the 60 days even when I tried to explain my conversation with J---- and that he wanted me to do the return the other way. He was not listening to me. He then marched off without telling me what he was doing and when he came back he told one of the cashiers very angrily that he was doing a cash return but that I was not allowed to ever shop in the store again. I was shocked he said that and confronted him And said did you just say I can't shop here again? He said yes you keep bringing back bikes. I said no that is not true. I keep bringing this one bike with this same issue to try to get it fixed. And I said why are you being such a jerk to me. He said I'm not being a jerk ma'am. I felt so attacked. He was so hostile. And I had never been treated so visciously by someone who is supposed to be in the industry of customer service that I began to shake and cry in the store which is not something I'm accustomed to doing believe it or not. I told him I didn't understand his hostility towards me as I had done only what J---- told me to do on the phone. To bring the bike in. I'm not trying to cheat the store or take advantage of returns etc. he was not interested in listening to what I was saying. He treated me like I was an enemy as soon as he saw me. I never would have requested a cash return on my own. I never would demand it. I just wanted my son to have a bike without a chain issue--one that works. Isn't that what we expect from a product? J---- was the who came up with the solution. I brought it in as we discussed and I was attacked by A---- as if I was a piece of scum instead of a repeat customer. He determined and humiliated me in public by declaring out loud that I would never be allowed to shop in the store again because I dared to bring in a bike per my conversation with a manager? The way he treated me was inexcusable. I never want to shop here again even without his decree that I couldn't. Nor do I ever want to shop at any Dick's stores period after the experience I just had. I don't know what your mission statement or goals are for customer service. But I will say that at 44 years of age, this is the worst I've ever been treated in retail. It was actually a traumatic experience. It should have been an easy transaction, but it turned into an absolute nightmare. I don't know if you will even care, but I hope no other customer has to go through that what I just went through. read more

This location is well staffed and everyone was so friendly. I loved shopping here because it was so organized and clean. It is also located in a nice shopping area where there are plenty of other places to get your shopping done. There is plenty of parking and this plaza is really clean and nicely kept. It's located right off the service road of 183 toll which is also nice to get in and out of quickly. read more

I tried to return some pants my daughter got for Christmas because they were to big when I told the guy I didn't have a receipt since they were a gift he acted annoyed. He then said "well let see what the computer will give you for them." The computer was only going to give me 10 dollars for a 45 dollar pair of pants. Yes, in a perfect world a receipt would have been nice but it was the day after Christmas and it was a Christmas gift, who is going to ask for a gift receipt. 9-21-19: I was I'm Dick's yesterday after a disappointing stop at Academy. As I entered Dick's, I was immediately greeted. The young man directed me to the exercise equipment. Pete was happy to assist me. He took me directly to the product (cable lubricant) that I was asking about. I was greeted at the checkout counter by the cashier (I believe his name was Dominic). He asked if I was a points club member. He was able to process my transaction after a couple of credit card malfunctions. He thanked me as I left. I love this store but the size selections in the women's section is crazy. I'm a small. You would think that would be an easy size to find. Not at this store. Every time I shop here they have 2-3 selections of the item you want. All 2XL or XL. And that's for almost every item. It's like they put one small on the rack and that's it for the day. Made an online order at 6pm to pick up a bike that the site says is available. I walk in at 6:30 and the manager asks if I'm picking up. "Yes sir, here's the order number." He comes back with, "well we can't find you in here....are you sure this is the right store?" "I reply again with a simple, "yes sir." He suddenly realizes I just made the order and barks, "Oh well it's not even in the system yet, you just made it, and by the time they inspect it we'll be closed!". He then disappears and goes and checks something. Comes back and says the system is messed up and that they don't even have the bike and that he'll decline my payment so it doesn't charge. That's when I walk back to the bike section, FIND THE EXACT BIKE, have the associate back there inspect it and add things on within 20 minutes. And while I'm waiting, another manager walks up to me and says, "SIR WE CLOSE AT 7PM!" Both managers work for a store that appropriately describes the leadership team here. Absolute dicks. read more

After getting to the store and looking around the main ice chest section (THEY HAVE 3 DIFFERENT PLACES FOR ICE CHESTS!) I asked for help. Each time I asked, an employee pointed me to a different place. They never checked inventory and after walking all over the store, I finally decided they didn't have it in stock. After I got home I called the number on the website, got hung up on after the first call, called back and spent over 20 minutes (mostly on hold) while they tried to find one and make this right with a discount. Customer service was very good. We bought some folding chairs that have a rocking chair movement, very nice chairs. The store is connected to the Field and Stream store, so you can shop both without going outside. Nice selection of sporting goods for all types of outdoor activities. Update: The manager called and told me that the store did have the bike I ordered and didn't know why the order was cancelled. I was able to purchase the bike at the store no problem. It was assembled and set aside for me. The www.dickssportinggoods.com site I used to make purchase a bicycle stated the Cedar Park store had 2 in stock. So I ordered one of the 2 available bicycles online around 9am on a Saturday. A few hours later when I was out running errands I stopped by the store to see if I could pick up the bike. I saw the box for the bike I orders while I was there and thought about asking to just take the box and assemble it at home but the employee assembling bikes said it takes a couple of days for them to assemble the bikes so I thought I'd just come back early the next week to pick up what I purchased. On the next day I was received an email stating that the order was cancelled due to the item being out of stock. No options were provided for a back-order or anything. Just cancelled. I am not happy with this store. I passed up a used bicycle on Craigslist that would have been nice but is now gone to another buyer for the new bike I thought the Dicks Sporting Goods order would fulfill. read more
