There was a Facebook event for a softball team and attached was a 20% coupon. I was looking for Hoka Gaviota shoes to try on. They only had men's. I already have Aria 8 (sp?) ones. I saw some cute Bondi 9's. I researched Hoka website and they are a neutral shoe, but will work for overpronation, which my friend says I have. They were comfortable walking in the shoe dept. I also needed a new cover for my thrift store Stanley. I did score 20% off. What bothers me is they say they have a military discount but supposedly this store doesn't do that. Scheels offers 5% off. BEWARE!!!! Horrible! went to Dick's in Burnsville to re-grip my putter it was a pretty much a brand new 2 ball putter. Brad in the golf area basically stepped on the top of the putter with his filthy shoes when he tried to Aline the new grip. There was another guy in the golf area I told him you could see the shoe prints on the top of the 2 ball putter. He tried to clean it off the best he could. There is still debris in the ball on the putter. I called to talk to the manager. Basically the employee lied and told the manager that he didn't step on the putter. The manager basically told me since I didn't buy the putter there they really couldn't do much! then said bye. I'll never go back! read more

I haven't received mine, nor have I received any real info from Dick's despite contacting their offshore useless customer service a couple times. The delivery date is way past due, and they can't explain why. The delivery estimates from the website, when I ordered, was not accurate at all. They lied to get the order. I am a planner. When I looked at the predicted cold snap for the Winter Classic, I knew that I needed a stadium blanket to keep me warm outside for a few hours. I did a search and found a stadium blanket that was perfect for my needs. You can get it for curbside pickup. However, Dick's Sporting Goods online site only caters to folks with American credit cards with a US address. Instead, I looked at the in-store stock and found a bunch of blankets at this Dick's store in Burnsville. The following day, I decided to visit it. This store is a part of Burnsville Center, but you have access to this store without going into the mall. Perfect! I had no problem finding a parking spot. There were so many that I backed into one that was fairly close to the main entrance and walked in. Sure enough, I wasn't even into the store for half a minute and the blankets were staring at me by the checkout area. I wanted the green buffalo check blanket and got it. It came with a built-in handle, which I loved using while walking around. I was impressed with the Minnesota Wild apparel. It was nice to see other designs than those at the Hockey Lodge at Xcel Energy Center. The shoe section was impressive. There were plenty of running and walking shoes to choose from. It also had Doc Martens that weren't as heavy in weight as they used to be. I was ready to pay for my blanket and lined up. I got a nice young man, but he wasn't highly experienced. He couldn't find the barcode on my blanket. After a minute, he found the tag. Other than that detail, he was polite and friendly. I paid with a credit card, thanked him, and left with my blanket. I used it in frigid conditions (temperature was -23°C with a windchill of -32°C). I was bundled well. Having this wind-resistant blanket over me helped. I am still using it, but indoors. I like having it on me when I'm watching TV, so it serves more than one purpose. I love my purchase. (10) read more

I am completely disappointed by my experience with Dick's (and that is putting it mildly). We went in to Dick's in Burnsville to purchase a treadmill on April 13. I was pleased that they honored an expired sale price that they had a few weeks earlier. We set up the delivery for mid-day on April 17 (Brad had several computer issues as he was setting up the appointment, but he was very apologetic about the delay). The item was not delivered on April 17. I called Dick's to find out what happened. Austin was incredibly dismissive and told me I had to talk to AIT, the people in charge of the delivery. Of course, when I talked to AIT, they told me I had to talk to Dick's. It turns out that, without notifying me, the delivery was changed to the afternoon of April 21 (between 1:00 and 4:00). Had I not called them, I do not know how I would have found that out. So, we re-arranged our schedule to be available for the delivery on the 21st. At 4:30 on the 21st, I called Dick's. They told me I had to call AIT. I told them they should talk to AIT as they were the ones who hired them. Dick's maintained that AIT was a third-party; Dick's was not going to be held accountable for the people it hired. I told them I wanted a refund for the delivery charge. Dick's said I had to talk to AIT. I complained that I paid DICK'S for the delivery charge. They said I had to talk to AIT. I called AIT to find out why the treadmill had not been delivered. The AIT representative repeatedly said, "No Worries," and every time I tried to explained to her why I was worried, she interrupted me. She said they would call me within 30 minutes. I told her that we would be out that evening at activities and could not accept the delivery . At around 5:00, I got a text from dispatch that my stop was the next one. I responded that someone could be home to accept the delivery at 6:00. Dispatch responded that they would have to re-schedule. Then, around 7:40 p.m., I got a text that said my delivery was the next stop. As I am trying to get children to bed, I am keeping an eye on the front door. At 8:40 p.m., I decided they were not coming. The following day, April 22, at 9:24 a.m., AIT texts me that my delivery is the next stop. I texted back that no one was home. An hour later, I got another text from AIT that my delivery was the next stop. Then, I got a notice that the delivery had been completed. And, Dick's texted me to respond to a survey about their recent service. I get home on April 22 and it was pretty much the same story. I complained to Dick's and they said I needed to talk to AIT. I demanded a refund and they said they could not refund the money to me because they did no have the treadmill. Basically, I would have to call AIT to tell them to return the treadmill from Dick's before Dick's would give me my money back. So, I call AIT. I finally got to someone who looked at everything that had gone on and actually apologized for the hassle. She said that she would have someone contact me to set up a new time. I told her I should not have to pay for the delivery and she deflected. A few minutes later, I got a call from another individual from AIT who, again, was very apologetic, but also ignored my demand for a refund on the delivery charge. April 23: I get an e-mail from AIT (and a text from Dick's) proposing an afternoon delivery on April 25. So, it is April 24, and I am waiting to see what happens tomorrow, but I am not keeping my fingers crossed. But, regardless of what happens tomorrow, I can not see myself ever giving Dick's another penny. They tried to pass off responsibility for the delivery problems on AIT (who certainly was at fault), but made absolutely NO EFFORT to try to fix the problem, even after repeated calls from me about my dissatisfaction. read more

This is my goto for buying running shoes. I always buy Asics so it's an easy purchase, it's just a matter of what's on sale or what feels good today. I wanted to try 3 pairs. They have changed their shoe section to ease service and response. It was very easy to get a rep to help, scan the shoes I wanted to try on, and get them to me in the size I needed within a couple of minutes. In addition, I used a reward for $20 off. I went in with my fiancé to grab a couple Yeti tumblers, on the way we passed some coats that we decided we needed. Well, the sizes we needed weren't in store and we were placing a large order for our wedding guests. Patrick was so fun to work with and went above and beyond on helping us get everything ordered. **update** So after leaving this review about my unexpected cancellation on Dick's customer service feedback, and other sites, I was contacted by them. I was offered the trampoline at the sale price, and since they were not in stock I also got free shipping. I am still disappointed that it took this much effort to have Dick's do the right thing, but their follow up was good. So I'm changing this review to 3 stars to reflect that. I'm hoping now that they'll be some coaching done on the customer service side, and perhaps better inventory control on the website, so the next person won't have a similar issue. **original post** Ordered online and set it up for pick up here at the Burnsville store. I Purchased a sale item, a trampoline on sale for $219 down from $299. Turns out the stores inventory was wrong, not my fault obviously. Instead of doing the decent thing and offering me this price on the next trampoline that came in stock they just canceled my order. When I called customer service they were unwilling to help in anyway or honor the price. The website and customer service are a joke. Obviously Dick's could care less about their customers. I don't think I'm that difficult or even picky for that matter. Ok, fine. I'm a little picky. Just the same I really think there should be just a couple more VISIBLE employees in a store as large as Dicks Sporting Goods; especially when it's as busy as it is on a early Sunday evening. No school tomorrow! So that certainly can't be a staffing excuse. Next soap box. I found someone shuffling the hockey sticks. Great! Polite fellow. Directed me to the far corner of the store where my sought after goods are located and where "someone should be". There actually was someone there! Another helpful and polite fellow! I was starting to get hopeful. I'd be able to get my exercise bands and get the heck out. And that's what I get for getting my expectations up. No useable bands for the "normal" crowd. They did have a 70lb resistant band. But who the hell uses a band with that much resistance? Inquiring as to when they'd get more, the reply was something akin to no one knows. "It could be more than a month or we could get a box full of them". What?? Apparently I could order them. What?? This is America! I want them now! If I wanted to order them, I'd be at home where it's warm sitting at my computer. So off to The Sports Authority to try my luck there. read more

I love coming in here to talk with the golf guys. I never would have thought that Dick's would have such knowledgeable and helpful individuals for their golf section. I have bought a couple of clubs from them and they are always helpful in finding the right fit for your game rather than selling you what the hot club is or any of that garbage. They also just genuinely love the game, I have caught myself in there chatting with them for half an hour about golf trips, local courses, different clubs and such. Customer service at the Burnsville location is a complete joke. I tried to order something for curbside pick up after the item in my shopping wouldn't allow me to proceed to payment. So I called Burnsville location and the guy that I answered simply told me that when he orders online it works for him and he doesn't know what to tell me. I can expect that anything I would order online would have that level of customer service so I think I'll take my purchases to Amazon and elsewhere. I even told the guy that I'll order from somewhere else and his response was " cool I guess I would too". What a waste of time attempting to purchase something. Great customer service from Jordan in the shoe department. He was very kind about bringing me the shoes I asked about and he told me a neat story about petite hippos. After that great conversation he helped me run the track a couple times then put me on my way with the best shoes a man could ask for. On my way out a jackass named Jeff encountered me and told me my shoe game was weak. This hurt my feeling so I went back and talked to Jordan more. What a nice guy! Staff in store was great. After scheduling a setup and delivery is where it went bad. Called the night before delivery to reschedule. After multiple follow up calls from me, I was rescheduled (without me being notified) 3 weeks after original date. Called Burnsville store manager who referred me to Ben Benson district manager of the delivery and setup (go configure)? Ben made excuse after excuse as to why the product couldn't be delivered and excuse after excuse about why I wasn't called or notified of the appointment. During my call to Ben, I suddenly got an email about the date (still 3 weeks later than original delivery). He stated he "could have all the techs call for hours and hours every single technician around" sounding very bothered by that particular option. Dicks Sporting goods, Ben Benson just cost you a very good paying customer any future business with your company. read more

I am severely disappointed with the marked prices if sales here at dicks sporting goods... First of all, there was a blue sticker on a basketball which equaled to 50% off which would mean the ball would be about 9 dollars... This was not the case according to the employees at this dicks sporting goods. There was a big sale on apperal, accessories, and sporting equipment. Is was said for all stuff that a blue dot meant that the item was 50% off of the price marked. We brought it up to the register, very excited, when we brought it up, the cashier scanned it. She says the total was 15 dollars instead of 9. We asked her to check if it was wrong or she rang it up incorrectly. She says "nope its not 50% off its actually 30% off it says so on the paper" there was no paper clarifying the percentage of the sales there. Either give me another sale on the ball, or clarify that the ball is 30% off. I am not going to shop at this dicks sporting goods ever again. I would rather shop at one with sings that clarify that the sales are different rather than getting told at the register. I need to write this review based on their relationship with Go Configure for their delivery and assembly of their fitness equipment. Bad service from someone they contract from affects Dick's whether they want to admit it or not. A manager at Dick's Burnsville tried to help us, but in the end he couldn't based on the strength of the relationship with Go Configure so this does not reflect on that manager just Dick's the company as a whole. Go Configure is a horrible company, don't even think of letting them assemble your fitness equipment, and the worst is you pay extra to have them ruin your equipment. Our first elliptical they put the screws in all the wrong places and it was falling apart within 2 days. My husband was on it when an arm fell partially off, and he could have been hurt. They sent a technician to fix it who was the same one who put it together. He claimed the manufacturer was making the screws too short, so he attempted to glue it together. After numerous phone calls to Dick's Sporting Goods that we bought it from as it was still rocking around and feeling like it was going to fall a part, or over, Go Configure took the first one away and assembled a second one. The crew who assembled the second one admitted the first crew had put the screws in all the wrong places. Within a week this one was making a funny noise and not working correctly. After numerous calls to Dick's again Go Configure refused to help us and admit it was their problem. We called the manufacturer who came out today to check it out and once again our second machine was assembled incorrectly, and this was supposed to be Go Configure's best team. One side of the machine the pedal was coming off of the track, on every rotation. It took an hour with new parts that were shipped by the manufacturer to fix. Not only have we had to take a lot of time off of work for delivery, assembly, repair, reassembly and repair. We have between the 2 machines only probably gotten 8 hours of use since we ordered the first on November 22nd since both were assembled incorrectly and not safe to use. Go Configure should not be in business as eventually someone is going to get hurt when screws fall out while people are using the machine. Dick's told us we weren't the only ones who had, had this happen. If you buy a fitness machine from Dick's or anyone that uses Go Configure absolutely don't let Go Configure assemble you machine. read more
