I've lived in Seattle for a bit over half a year at this point and somehow hadn't stopped by a Dick's yet. It was finally time to give them a shot on for a Friday lunch. At 11:30, there wasn't much of a line and the employees started opening more registers to get our order in faster. They seem to have everything prepped and assembled already rather than cooking to order, so this is more fast food rather than traditional drive-in. It took literally 10 or 15 seconds for the cashier to grab all the food and hand it to us. To be honest, I wouldn't call this a drive-in in the first place since the window is walkup and there's no car hop service. Deluxe Burger ($5.75) - This is a pretty simple (small) burger with two patties, cheese slightly melted on top, and a small layer of shredded lettuce, mayo, and pickle relish underneath. The patties aren't charred much so they just taste like a normal fast food burger patty rather than having any caramelized goodness. The pickle relish is overpoweringly sweet and only slightly tangy. It makes the bottom layer a bit on the runny side. I would never get the relish on a burger again - it honestly ruins the flavor of the entire meal. (3/5) Fries ($2.95) - The fries come out softened like they've been steamed a bit perhaps. I wonder how long they had been sitting around before being served to us. There's no crisp at all and instead they have just a bit of a skin on the outside. The fries with the skin still on have a leathery chew. At least the interiors are very fluffy and they aren't over salted. I still prefer these over In & Out's though. Ketchup is extra. (3/5) I'm probably one of the few people who lived in California in the past and don't really like In & Out that much, but I would choose them over Dick's any day of the week... Except for the fries I guess. Bad ones there vs. mediocre ones here. Meh. At least it's fast and relatively cheap?

Honestly, it's Dick's. Consistent, fast, and always hits on a late night. Had a pleasant experience at this location, friendly service, efficient, and the green tin foil stood out for the deluxe (where they're typically orange). I don't think it was for any special occasion either, but worth documenting here! I also love the ice cream at Dick's as it's cheap, portioned well, and has basic flavors as well as unique favorites.

I've been meaning to try one of the Dick's Drive-In locations for a while now. Love the retro vibes and neon signs and I feel like it's an instant classic. Big fan of the cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate and strawberry shakes. Plus, this is likely the cheapest food you can buy in Seattle, so that's a plus!

My boyfriend and I decided to try it out before leaving Seattle, pretty simple food. Nothing amazing or special, very simple. Kind of reminded us of in n out but for Seattle. No customizing your food, order and immediately get your food, pay and leave. Service was very casual. Fries kind of remind me of five guys, burgers were fine. Very affordable, especially as a couple paying for 2!

Menu with newly raised prices.

I will always love Dick's, but. They changed their fries!!! The shoestring fries we have loved for decades are no longer. And they raised their prices. But I'm more upset about the fries. Booooooo!!!

Quick and simple hamburger joint. It was convenient. We ordered 2 Deluxe Burgers, 1 cheeseburger, a order of fries, and a root beer float. Hamburgers were freshly made but on the smaller side. Fries were mediocre, oily and not appetizing looking. Root beer float was good. There isn't much of an area to dine at the place. Luckily we were taking it to go. They prepare everything on the other side of the glass so you can watch them making your hamburger. If we need something quick and simple will be back. Much better then McDonalds.

I was highly recommended this place by some friends , my sister does not like them . I ended up liking them . Burgers are tasty . I loved my strawberry shake. They have a lot of ice cream flavors I'd love to try. What I don't like is the size of the deluxe burger is really small . The size on the drinks are small to . Real small their prices are decent . No seating outside .

No, Dick's drive-in is NOT closed due to COVID-19 as of Summer 2021. Where else can you go in Seattle at 1:30 in the morning and get a 1950's style burger, fries and a shake? You already know. That's why you're reading this. Probably the best chocolate shake known to mankind, made with real ice cream and milk. MMM mmm M mmm.

Fries were good, service was fast but can change items on burger, but the burger was so bland the meat tasted like nothing i could only taste the sauce. Also overpriced.

We had been craving dicks drive in since we left Seattle a year ago, and we finally got to return. Wondering if it would be as good as we remembered, we ordered a deluxe and a plain cheeseburger with fries. I also tried out a chocolate shake. Just as good as we remembered. For fast food, these are great burgers at a great price. I definitely recommend trying them out, especially if you are not from the area.

The restaurant itself leaves a lot to be desired, but I'm not asking too much. I believe the owner said he was trying to revamp the place. I hope that the area comes alive in the future years, that should help. Here's the issue though, this is the slowest spot ever. I've waited 30 minutes for fries - FRIES. I don't mind waiting for food, but it should remain reasonable. There were only two or three people working, and one man did tell us this, but I need to be honest - this was on Super Bowl Sunday. No one was able to get anyone a beer from the tap for 40 minutes, the food took forever and it appeared that online orders were being prioritized (which makes sense, you make as you get orders coming in, but that puts your in person customers in an odd and sometimes frustrating position). To be honest, I probably wouldn't have minded as much if I just had some fries to snack on. I didn't mind as much this one time because I was just happy to find a place to watch the Super Bowl Half Time show, but other days, it's a little hard to look past. I wish this business the best, I live too close to not hope for its improvement! Looking forward to updating my review. At the end of the day, if you're hungry, it's late, this is your spot.

There was no garlic at all, but what I did get was a pretty large appetizer that did its job and more. The main dish, the hotstone beef bibimbap, was a lot worse. Firstly, this came with ground beef rather than the beef slices I was expecting. The rice at the bottom was dry like it should be in a clay pot, but lacking really any of that slightly-burnt, hard qualities that makes a clay pot rice what it is. It just tasted dry. But the ground beef was probably the worst part. It was dry, lacking in really any seasoning, and the portion was tiny. I'd finished the beef with still half the bowl remaining. This was not a bibimbap I would come back to at all. Overall, there are way too many better places in the international district for me to ever recommend this. 5/10

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! Also you get the nice breeze, they also had heaters on top. Picnic style tables and quick service!

It's not my favorite Hawaiian by any stretch, but it definitely does the job for visitors to the food hall. Since the seating can be a little limited at lunch time, the first challenge is just simply finding a spot to sit. Avoiding the peak lunch hour is recommended, but this probably be better if traveling in a group. When in doubt, take it to-go. Teriyaki chicken ($14) is one of their most popular dishes and an obvious nod to Seattle's thriving scene. Their katsu loco moco ($16) is hearty with the gravy, but sometimes a bit too heavy with the green onions. Personally, I'm a fan of the kalua pork ($13.50) and the spam and eggs ($11.50), but the garlic shrimp ($18) was a bit lackluster. They also serve burgers, which are actually a bit underrated. Their double cheeseburger ($11) features nice size patties with a goop of American cheese. The musubi is nearly $4 each, but are also mini-bricks of spam and rice. Lastly, it doesn't take much to realize the prices might feel a bit high here. They're even higher on the website, which i would recommend using for most folks, but recently I noticed various selections are listed for hundreds of dollars each. Unless this is a catering order, it's just another example of another oversight. ____________ (#1) Uwajimaya is dope: https://www.yelp.com/biz/uwajimaya-seattle

My only complaint is that the burger was a bit too salty. Service: It was mid. They messed up on our orders and instead of replacing it, she just walked away. They ask for tips which is odd because you have to go to the counter and order and clean the table yourself. They only bring the food and I'm guessing that has more to do with the lack of space. A tip shouldn't be asked. Also when we ordered, we didn't know thy would bring out the meal so we stood inside for a while. They don't take your name or give you a buzzer so I'm not sure how they can keep track. Lastly, it took a while for us to get our food. It wasn't that busy but it looked like there was only one cook. Ambiance: the inside is TINY but it's a vibe. It's small and oddly shaped but the ceilings are high and it's sort of an industrial open concept. They have a small seating outside and a bigger patio seating on the side street. Napkins, utensils and ketchup are all the table which makes it easier. But the place gets packed so you might not even get a seat. Overall: I'd go back because the burgers were that good. But it's not going to be my go-to spot mainly because of the service.
