Really surprised that the Employees here moves fast and very friendly! Though they're busy they maintain a fast paced and clean workplace. And plenty of parking! I love going to this place. I am quite the picky eater. The food was delicious with a creative setup and menu. It felt like I was on a date in the 50s with my hubby.

A Seattle Staple. Its a classic in Seattle and would recommend it to anyone craving a greasy splurge. My usual order is a cheeseburger, fries and a sundae. Its simple but delicious, a burger doesn't have to be super fancy with weird toppings in order to be good. Always make sure to bring cash, and NO SPECIAL ORDERS. Don't be the idiot that slows the line because you don't understand the rules. Also the lines may look long but they are super quick at putting orders together so don't worry you will be full and happy in no time :). read more

Aaaahhhh the Dick's Deluxe. Such a great little juicy fabulous bit of burger bitchinness. Compared to the greatest burger joint in America....it's not quite as good as In-and-Out's double double animal style but the fries at Dicks are waaaaaaay better. I'd say the shakes are the about the same. I like how they are just big enough to fit in your hand so you can fearlessly nosh in your car or standing out in the parking lot without half of it falling off. read more

Fries were cold. The Special and Deluxe were both semi warm. A bit of a disappointment. Hadnt tried Dicks in a few years. First time at this location. Used to go to the one on Capitol Hill and Wallingford. I dont know I was hungry so I wolfed it all down. read more

Really disappointed when we came here the other night. I have been here before and the food was delicious. But for some reason our food tasted like it had been sitting around for an hour...the fries were completely soggy and shriveled like when they sit around and you go to reheat them... my deluxe burger was also tasteless and mediocre. Mmmm Dicks fries are the best! Yes, other reviewers who complain about soggy fries are absolutely correct, these are not your typical crispy fast food fries, which is one of the things that makes them delicious! As a vegetarian I love the fact they don't fry anything else in the drive in. No cards accepted, it's the dicks way and it keeps costs down. If you forget cash, no worries, there is a cash machine readily available, although you will have to pay a surcharge. If you're too lazy to get out of your car to stand in line, pick another fast food joint. Dicks is a drive in and dine out place. No frills but delicious! read more

Dick's is a welcome addition to the community! The food is nearly instantaneously produced and consistently good. Not only that, it's cheap cheap cheap... and open late! If you're hungry and want a good cheap burger fast, this is your place! And I've seen a few negative reviews for the fries, but I actually like them. What can one say about Dick's? Classic, yes. Simple, yes. Consistent, yes. Easy to wolf down too many cheeseburgers because they're so good, yes. Great fries...not tonight :-/ But, they usually are great so I won't even count this time against them. I don't know why this burger is one of my favorites. I just moved to Washington and ate here for the first time today. The location is simple. It isn't an over the top burger joint, very low key. As far as taste, I had the hamburger with fries and a strawberry shake. I will say the fries were delicious. My favorite part, because the fries reminded me of county fair fries which are made fresh and taste lovely. I don't know if the county fair here is similar to ones from my home state, but if you have ever had food from a fair it is amazing! So I would say the fries were great. The hamburger lacked appeal it looks like a very basic burger. It tastes good, and there isn't a lot of veggies on it which makes me a bit sad. O love veggies! The milkshake was also average to me. It didn't have a lot of flavor for a strawberry milkshake. I will go here again though. read more

The burgers, ice cream, and shakes are awesome but the fries are always overcooked and gross. The best part about Dicks is the salty, greasy french fries but this location consistently overcooks them to the point of being borderline burnt. Every single time I've been to this location the fries are hard, dry, dark brown and have barely any salt on them. This location will do in a pinch for a burger but if I'm craving fries I make the trek down to the Lake City location read more

Dicks is a Seattle institution. Cheap greasy burgers. My favorite hand cut fries. Milkshakes in three flavors. You pay for the condiments. A nickel each. It's a walk up. They are usually pretty busy, but they are fast. Cash only. Lots of sketchy kids in the parking lot - feels like home to me (Broadway) but to some suburbanites it might be a little uncomfortable. Hopefully when the Top Foods gets a new business in there, things will look up. read more

In the pantheon of McDonald's alternatives, this is nothing special. Hamburgers, just ok -- nothing special. Milkshakes, nothing special. French fries, quite good for fast food fries -- like McD fries if they were actually once potatoes. Very limited menu so if you don't eat burgers, there is nothing else (no hot dogs, no chicken, no veggies). The only remarkable thing is how fast it is -- spooky fast. If it were right next to a McD and we had to stop I am not sure which one we'd choose. read more

Dicks has this huge rep in Washington for great food so being in town my boyfriend (who loves Dick's and eats it all the time) and I decided to go here for dinner. It wasn't crowded at all for 8pm on a Friday night. There was plenty of parking and lots of cashiers to take orders and get food. We ordered cheese burgers, fries, strawberry milkshake and a deluxe burger. The milkshake was good but I've definitely had better and creamier ones. The cheeseburgers had good flavor however I kept getting bites of gristle in both of mine. I asked my boyfriend if they're always like that, he took another bite of his and noticed it. He said they're always like that he's just never paid much attention to it before. The fries look and taste pathetic. They're limp, sad and greasy. I didn't mind the grease so much but the limp soggyness I minded. The foods cheap, service is great but the food man now that's just sad. read more

Wow. Saying Dick's is Seattle's In-n-Out is a huge stretch. I can't understand all the positive hype this place gets - every time one opens, its all over the local news. I will admit the fries were pretty good, but the burger was terrible. I got mine with onions, and they handed me a small container of onions - I had to put them on myself! And this Dick's is in a pretty rough neighborhood. One of the workers spilled a load of straws outside the window and didn't even come outside to pick them up. There was no where to eat except your car. Awful experience. read more
