Panda Express is one of those "you know what you're getting" kinda places that's a guilty pleasure. It was so with this visit. My friend was wanting some Chinese food and it's near him, so we went for our "plates". I got Lo mein, Honey sesame chicken and Broccoli beef. We got it to go and while the temperature kept while we went back to his place, it was just bland all around. The low mein was soggy, honey chicken didn't offer much in the way of flavor and the broccoli beef was just eh, or "mid" as the kids say these days. The restaurant itself was ok, when we walked in, there were two staff cleaning up and wiping tables which is a good sign and the server was friendly as well as offering to swap out one of the tins as I guess the food had been sitting for some time and was almost empty anyway. I'm sure my friend will have a craving, and we'll find our way back here, but the food is just average. read more

Despite the mixed reviews of this particular location, the food I have eaten from here has always been good and consistent. Visited this Panda Express a few times and overall, it's becoming one of my favorite go to spots whenever I get that craving for Chinese American food :) Highlights: 1. Parking - Plenty! There's a lot right in front of this place, so not too much of an issue 2. Interior - Very clean for the most part, both the tables, chairs and floor. Plus, there is plenty of seating and never felt too crowded. 3. Food Portions - Depending on who you get, food portions will vary. For me, mixed bag on some days but overall, I still get food coma after finishing a plate combo. 4. Food - Theses are my go tos that have been consistently yummy! -- Orange Chicken, Beijing Beef, Honey Sesame Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Mixed Veggies. I was so excited to learn that Panda Express was testing a new item in the Seattle area AND it was close by! We arrived mid-afternoon on a Thursday. It wasn't very busy, just a few tables were filled. We were quickly greeted and asked what we'd like to order. We both ordered 2 Entree Plates, both with their new item, Buldak Dynamite Sweet & Sour Chicken. There wasn't any left at the time, so we paid grabbed out drinks, and sat down at a table while we waited. A few minutes later, our food was ready. That chicken, omg, was so delicious. It was fresh, so perfectly crispy, and actually had a decent amount of spice to it. 10/10 my new favorite and I hope it makes it out of the test and onto the menu. The rest of our food was delicious as well. The chow mein and vegetables also tasted fresh and were wonderful. I'd say this is one of the nicer Panda Express locations I've been to. Yesterday I went to pick up a big catering order for my son's 10th birthday (he loves Panda Express!) I had ordered a few days ahead, saw the payment go through, and thought we were all set. When I arrived, I was told the order had been canceled. After checking my bank account, it looked like the charge had been refunded. The manager on duty was incredibly kind and professional. She patiently waited while I double-checked my account, then, with a smile, said not to worry, they would take care of it. I paid again, and the team quickly got everything together. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and the manager apologized for the inconvenience (even though I feel like I inconvenienced them!). I found thoughtful workers and a warm in-restaurant atmosphere tonight, Wednesday 21 June 2023, when I came to the Panda Express on Highway 99 in Edmonds to get a Panda bowl (1 side and 1 entree). I had my heart set on chow mein and Beijing beef. Walking up to place my order, the worker was ready and the items I was after were not back-logged. Payment was straightforward and the lady in charge of payment considerate. Parking includes a large shared lot, and I found it to be moderately full at about 7:20 p.m. For the food, the beef was well cooked, sweet, and flavorful. The portion was a healthy size with abundant beef and vegetables. The chow mein noodles were soft and the vegetables tender without loosing their crunch nor being too wilted. Although it's been a long time since I've had Panda Express, it still holds a special place in my heart. It fills me with nostalgia from my childhood going to my local PE to hang out after school. Their first location was at the Glendale Galleria in 1983 and now have locations in all 50 states with a total of more than 2,300 restaurants. This location is in Edmonds on the Pacific Highway 99 with lots of parking and lots of tables inside. They're most well-known for their orange chicken so it was a must-get for us. We got two plates ($9.90 each) with a split of fried rice and chow mein, orange chicken, and both beijing beef and the honey sesame chicken breast. I thought the chow mein had more flavor than the fried rice; the latter was just okay. The orange chicken was exactly what I remembered the last time I had it. The honey sesame chicken breast had similar textures to the orange chicken just in a different sauce. I really liked the beijing beef and the sauce reminded me of a Chinese sweet and sour pork dish that I love. The service was good and the employees were friendly and fast. Eating here reminded me of why I like it so much and I might make it an effort to come here more often again. read more

By far, the worst experience in two ways: #1 My order for a Family Meal was placed at 7:27p and I was told that one of the entrée items was being prepared. Everything else was packaged and set aside. After 30 minutes, I requested that the delayed entrée item be cancelled and refunded; I was given $1.50 of my $51.27 bill as a refund for one of three entrees in this order. I asked if that was all an entrée was worth and told, yes. #2 I arrived home ~15 minutes after receiving my order and found everything had completed cooled and most of the items were almost congealed; most likely from sitting for 30 minutes plus my 15 minute commute. Thankful they were open on this snowy day. Staff was not overly friendly but come on it's just a panda expesss. It's not like we're dining at the Canlis people, I don't know about you all but with the glass and the masks makes it extremely difficult to hear or maybe it's just something I am Experiencing with age. It was noisy and I couldn't hear what the clerk was really saying. None the less we got there orders figured out and we went on our eat since the seating is all closed off. Food was ok. When I pointed this out, the employee was rude and then gave me far less entree scoops than normal for me daring to question them. The food is absolutely awful , every now and then on uber eats i'll buy panda express they always get it from this specific location, the food is always dry and oddly pale, extremely small portions for a big price, almost completely no flavor compared to other locations and have found various hair in my food. This Panda Express is near another fast food place which shall remain nameless, other than to say it has some golden arches on top of it. WHY would you go there when you can come to this Panda Express? When we went, they were out of the Veggies, which they call "Super Greens" now in a bit of clever marketing. This was a good thing because it meant they made some up fresh. YAY! We also had the Beijing Beef, the Black Pepper Chicken. On the other plate we had the chow mein and the Wok-Fired Shrimp. Here's a question - did they really mean to call it "wok-fired" (which sounds cool I will admit) or is it a typo for "wok-fried" ? I may never know. Anyway, my dining partner liked them whether they were fired or fried. The only person I know who is not a super-fan of P.Express is someone who went there daily for more than a week when they were visiting their grandparents. So don't over do it, friends! Finally, 4 stars instead of 5 because they need to get more customers in here so that the food doesn't sit around being reheated all day long. That makes me a bit nervous. I like going to Panda Express because no matter where I am, I can rely on the recipe tasting the same. That was not the case today. Worst tasting Panda Express ever. The fried rice was not seasoned at all and the orange chicken didn't have a hint of orange in it--it was just sweet. The only thing that was edible the Kung pao chicken. The rest went in the trash. Updating my review as the latest experience was much improved. Took two guys out to dinner here. The three of us were helped by different employees who were all fast and friendly. They were patient with my guests who either hadn't been to a Panda Express before or hadn't been in a long time. I got the honey shrimp with rice and an eggroll. The shrimp was good! There a couple of reasons I like to go to Panda Express. The most obvious is the food. Fresh and friendly service in mostly clean spaces. The other reason I like to go is their generous military discount. Unfortunately, the Edmonds location stopped offering this discount. While I am always grateful for the discount, I never demand or expect it. I will however stick to the locations that still offer it. I came in with my husband around 8:30 pm-ish, as an impromptu stop before picking up some cases of water @ Winco to prepare for this stupid heatwave. I stopped in cause I was hungry. I hadn't had time to eat at all today, cause I was prepping my house and family to make sure we don't die in this heatwave. I just wanted some Beijing Beef. But nope. All because some curly haired brunette guy wanted to be a rude smartass, with an attitude. Hey, I get times are tough, and everyone has been having a rough time. But you know what? Maybe you should just be grateful to even have a job? At a time when people are still jobless from a pandemic. I asked him if they were going to have anymore Beijing Beef left, and he told me that they should have more cooked in roughly 5 to 6 mins. I said that I would be fine to wait for it, and then he said that he didn't know if there was actually really going to be any... I was confused, as he had just told me the exact opposite, until I said I would wait for it...? So I asked him, "will you have anymore Beijing Beef tonight?" And he said to me, with an attitude, like I shouldn't have been asking him such a stupid question: "Well, I'M NOT the chef!" So I said you know what? I don't have time to deal with this crap, and I left. Just say, " I DONT FEEL LIKE DOING MY JOB BECAUSE I'M LAZY AND RUDE AND UNGRATEFUL FOR HAVING A JOB HERE." Maybe he just hates Asians. Who knows. His attitude and demeanor was disgusting, and you couldn't pay me to come back. My husband suggested the Panda Express location on 164th in Lynnwood instead, so we went. I was greeted immediately when we walked in the door, and EVERY SINGLE STAFF person there greeted us, and said thank you to us, and also asked if we needed or wanted anything else. Nobody had even a hint of an attitude, or acted snotty! In fact, the 164th location is the one I normally go to, and that's how service is everytime. And if I ever ask if they'll have more of something, THEY GO ASK THE CHEF!!! Like a normal person who works in this type of job SHOULD do! Don't come to this craptastic Edmonds Panda Express location unless you want to have a horrible experience, and want to end up leaving with no food and not being helped. read more

But the very nice young woman actually said they could make some and it about 7 minutes. What? Excuse me? No face-making, or 'We're about to close'....I couldn't believe it and was pleasantly surprised! The single star is solely for the incredibly slow service - and this is a pretty common trend with many Panda Express restaurants. If lunch is one of the busiest times of the day, then why only have 2 people behind the counter? The one person who is taking orders is also fulfilling DoorDash orders and refilling the food. The other person is ringing people up. There needs to be at least 3-4 people back there: 2 servers, 2 cashiers (if there are two registers), and one person who is in charge of constantly restocking and refilling low food items and supplies. It took almost 20 minutes to get our food and leave. The line wasn't even that long. When I finally approached the counter, the woman told me she'd be with me in a moment because she was busy fulfilling a long DoorDash order. I waited 3 minutes for her to finish that order until she took my order. To the store management, if you know you're going to be busy, be prepared. People just want to get in and get out as soon as possible because people have to get back to their jobs. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered delivery and there was so much wrong. The Beijing beef was old mushy and pasty. It was completely inedible. The sprite was just carbonated water, like they didn't replace the syrup for the fountain drink machine. There was hair in my super greens side! The best time to come here is when they first open up for the day when everything is freshly cooked. This is my go-to when I am hangry and had no time to prepare my dinner. This is so close to work and to home - it is literally around the corner from me which, is very convenient. I always go for the half fried rice/half chow mein, my beef broc, honey walnut shrimps. My order almost never changes. I've tried a lot of the other foods but I always return to this combo. I think their foods are nice and decent and for a fast food, I think it hits the spot most of the time. I also like their stir fried eggplant with tofu and other veggies. That's a good one if you haven't tried this all vegetarian dish except for the tofu part if you like that. They have lots of dishes and cooked just behind the counter--lots to choose from. They sell drinks as well, free water if you prefer that or buy bottled water, sodas and juices. The staff is quick and friendly. Just choose or point to what you'll have and they get it for you right there and very quickly. The new thing here is, they will ask if you want to donate your remaining loose change. It's up to you if you are willing. All in all, It's a clean Panda Exp. and they have lots of parking. Where to start with this location... i have no idea. This is how our LAST experience occurred at this Panda Express location. First of all I want to note that we live nearby and this is a very easy food to pick up when we want something quick.. at least I thought so. About a week ago we came in to get some food and they were out of a couple items that we wanted, no big deal, we are always happy to wait. Especially for fresh food. As we are waiting, I would say about 20 minutes went by and were told nothing we requested had been started, and all the other items we choose had been served to other people. We were then told, they couldn't give us a time frame of when things would be done because everything in there store had to be made. At this time, I asked for a manager to speak to. I spoke with Julia and we agreed on two free plates at a later date. Fast forward to today, we came in to grab our free plates and once again most of their items were not available. So again we ask kindly if they would make them one of them. (We really didn't want to ask them to make 3 out of 4 things we wanted) Also keep in mind, we eat some of their most popular dishes. We were then told the honey walnut shrimp we wanted, they couldn't give to us for free because of the $1.25 extra charge. Okay fine.. We'll pay that difference, not a big deal. But wait, they were unable do that on there end and wanted to charge us $6, the full price of the single entree. At this point, we realized there is no point in arguing anymore and just took what we could get. We really wish this location would change their habits and customer service. Their to-go containers are bs, if you order rice, half of it will end up sticking to the container. The one on 196th still has common sense and uses black plastic containers to treat their customers like actual Americans. This location uses bs carton paper material and it's just not a good experience to order from here especially to-go delivery. You suck, your to-go containers suck. read more
