On a routine gas stop, we spotted Dick's along the road. We decided to pull into the parking lot to see what it was all about. Needing a bite, and seeing the prices were very reasonable, we got the deluxe burger and a side of fries. The fries were less than stellar, they were soggy fries. Although they were $1.65, they did not satisfy my fry craving. The burger was ok, it had 2 beef patties, so it compensates for a smaller size. Burger and fries for $5, not too bad. They also have floats and shakes and ice cream on the menu, which I would like to try next time I visit. read more

I truly have no idea why people love this place so much. It must be nostalgia, because the food I've had here twice was pretty awful. I didn't grow up here, so I guess that's the problem. I understand everything made simply from scratch on the premises, the price is right, etc., which is what led me to give it several tries. But I just can't honestly say the food is good. At all. The burger is small and REALLY soggy. The bun desintegrates in less than a minute from the gallon of sauce on the burger. The taste is just okay, but there are so many better burgers out there where the moisture is in the meat, and not in the flood of sauce. The fries are the worst issue I have with this place. Always soggy, undercooked and completely sopping with oil. My last serving of fries were so greasy and oily that it was actually hard to get one in my mouth without swinging it in there like a rope! Honestly. When I picked them up they just flopped over onto my hand and had no structure, so I just sorta swung them on up and into my mouth. Um, yeah. Complete greasy sog. Needless to say, I fed the rest of them to the crows in the parking lot. I just don't get it. I guess I never will get it. This place will definitely never be my first, or second choice when I want a burger and fries. The new Dick's in Edmonds has finally opened and it's obvious that nearly everyone has heard! There is a line at almost every time of day. Sometimes, there's a really big line. Dick's Drive-In is a local iconic staple of fast food. They used to be pretty cheap when it came to burgers and fries but the prices have gone up nearly double in the past 8 or 9 years... blame it on the economy and inflation. Either or... this is probably one of my favorite Dicks to go to only because its the newest and the parking lot is huge. It's a great place to do car/bike meets on summer nights (or winter if you can bear the cold) and it's an easy location to find and get to. Outside of the large parking lot - there isn't much difference to this place than the other locations, well it's a bit less crowded if any. Overall I like it though! I always come here when I'm workin up north and looking for a lil greasy in my diet. read more

Perfect food for late at night or after a night out. The food is what you would expect for a fast food drive in. The cheeseburger is my go to as they cook it well, doesn't seem greasy, and they put the perfect amount of condiments on. Fries are nice and greasy and perfectly salty. Downside for some is there is no customization allowed, but they stick to classics where customization is not needed. Pricing is right on for the quality. My go to fast food joint! read more

Someone had told my bf that he should check out Dick's Drive-In when in Seattle so we decided to check it out when we drove from the Boeing factory to the wineries. Frankly I wasn't impressed at all. This review is for all of the Dick's Drive In locations. I've loved this place since I was young. It's a throwback to a simpler time and a true dining experience. I can't eat it as often as I did when I was younger but it will always hold a special place in my heart, most likely in my arteries... All of my California friends go on and on about In-N-Out Burger. Dick's is the real deal. The food is better in every way and the tarter sauce on the Dick's Deluxe is a nod to their Seattle heritage. I love their just-slightly-soggy fries dipped in more tarter with a shake on the side. This place is always like a visit to my youth and I'm glad I've been able to share it with my own kids. They got to attend the grand opening of this location with me and we were on the front page of the herald along with thousands of other enthusiastic fans. Judging from others' reviews, I might have to come back another day and try the food again. I orders 2 deluxes, an order of fries, and a vanilla shake. The food was not horrible, but it wasn't great either. The quality and taste of the deluxes tasted slightly better than McD's or Burger King. The fries, though not as crispy as I like, were fine. Decent location, with decent amount of parking. You need to know what you want before you go up to the order window. The staff is quick and will take off before you know it. So be ready and order as quickly as possible. There is no place to sit down so either take home or eat in your vehicle. There is an ATM on site, because Dick's accepts cash only. The food is quickly thrown together so don't expect clean or fancy. You're getting super fast food. I personally don't like the cheeseburger but the Dicks Deluxe is good. In all, if you want super fast in and out service. And you just want something to shove in your face, this is the place. Avoid during meal times, like at noon. It gets super busy. read more

Was a convenient stop on the way home. I purchased two deluxe yesterday, that evening I became very ill, vomiting, runs, hot and cold sweats, it was terrible, I would not wish this on anyone. Giving three stars for the horrible service here today. I work at the hospital and when I am able to run out for a quick lunch, I enjoy coming here. Today, I stood in line for 15 minutes waiting to order. We ordered and left with what we though was our food. The cashier forgot to put my hamburger in. I went right back up to the window and told her. She only said "oh. I didn't hear you" no offer to grab it right away. I then had the physician I assist walk back to work without me so I could again stand in line and wait to order a hamburger. I went to a different window this time. When I get back up there another full 10 minutes later, I tell the cashier what happened to me at the other window and give her my order, she says she's sorry but does not offer to have the manager talk with me. I clearly see the manager right there so I ask her name and am told it's Ali. She offers to have her talk to me but at this point I have a patient to get back to so no time to stand there even longer to deal with this mess! I am disappointed with Dicks! Ever since I started working in SnoCo, people have been telling me I need to try out Dick's. I've been told "it's a classic" and "everyone's been," but I wasn't convinced. Finally, I needed to get some lunch on the cheap and a coworker once again recommended Dick's. I'm glad I tried it. A double cheeseburger is about $2.50. Service is nearly instantaneous. Food was fresh and delicious. And cheap. Downsides: No customizing the burger ("No changes, sir, so we can provide instant service"), ketchup, mustard, and onions all cost extra (only a nickel, but still), and the fries were bad (floppy, tepid, tasteless). The burger was tasty and filling, so I'm definitely still going to go back. Besides, any place that's open late is a winner in my book! read more

Dick's has been a Seattle staple for about forever! When taking out-of-towners around Seattle, I'm pretty sure these three places are at the top of a Seattlite's list: 1. They are not a made to order restaurant, go to McDonald's if you want a salad or a crispy fry. Dicks is all about classic greasy burgers and fries. They put what they put on it and that is it.
