Really not a great experience at all. I'm not one to typically leave a review, but this felt like a rip-off. We got two of the 2 meat plates along with sides and the only thing that was decent were the baked beans. The fries and toast were all soggy. The brisket was 85% fat and still bland. Mac and cheese was bland. And all of that for almost $60! Not worth it at all. If you have any standards for good barbecue, do not go here. read more

We ordered through doordash because taking a toddler to a restaurant is always hectic. When the food arrived, the Texas toast and smashed like someone sat on it, and it was soggy. We ordered 5 sides and got 3. We ordered sliders and got some kind of sandwich. The 1/2lb brisket wasn't even close to being 1/2lb and was all fat. Like a left overs cut. Overall it was piss poor food. 10/10 do not recommend. Currently working with DoorDash for a refund and I will be contacting the restaurant directly as well. Do not waste your money!!! After the owner trying to make things right she offered (1) 3 meat combo/2000 points as an incentive to spend money on (4) plates of burnt pork ribs and fatty that brisket that we couldn't eat. The message stated they couldn't refund me due to the order being purchased through door dash but to here is 1 meal for the 4 you had to throwaway. Then to top it off when I asked about the points and why I was being issued the points that are equivalent to what you earn for all the meals we spent money on, I got ghosted! I hadn't eaten at the Tanasbourne Dickey's since their grand opening years ago. Unfortunately, my recent trip wasn't as good as I'd hoped. We ordered online and got two of the 2 meat combos, with 4 sides. Chicken, brisket, pork and ribs. Coleslaw, bbq beans, green beans with bacon and Mac and cheese. I picked up the order at 5:45 and went directly home. The chicken, brisket and ribs were so dry. Not fresh as all. The Mac and cheese was also so dry. We didn't care for the green beans. The pork, bbq beans and coleslaw were all very good. It's too bad that dinner didn't seem very fresh. Overall disappointing. read more

Do not go here with any discounts as they will not honor it unless you bring a piece of paper from 1945. I had a dining advantage discount that the first guy said had to be done online, which didn't work. Then the next guy says they can do it. Then they change their mind and says they require a print out where the website gives an option for mobile. This was my first time going here and it will now also be my last. Listen everyone! Amazing Ribs and Slaw! Staff were great at taking orders and getting the food to the table pronto! I'm a Slaw snob and very particular about texture, color and smell. A+ imho. Ribs were practically falling off the bone and meatier than expected. Left the place feeling full and satisfied. Lots of meat options and selections of sides, including a generous portion of fried okra. Fries taste nice and greasy. There's enough seating inside, and it's clean. The restaurant lets you get unlimited free soft serve vanilla ice cream with your meal! Service is fine. My only complaint is they gave me the wrong meat in my sandwich. Had Dickeys before and food was good, smokey and satisfying. However, ordered yesterday, same thing, the three meats. Like night from day, food was bland, dry, and brisket was stringy. Ribs were TOUGH and dry, chicken was tasty but also dry. The sides are good, Mac and cheese was creamy but bland. Now I'm a fried okra fan and theirs is great, using fresh okra not frozen, I hope. The full rack of ribs were NOTHING but rubbery gelatinous fat covered bones with a smell of microwave reheated mystery meat. The brisket looked like regurgitated dog food. The fries.... Soggy, grease saturated, nasty. 8O DOLLARS for two pounds of "meat" and "fries" NOBODY in my family would eat any of it. I called to ask for a food replacement rather than a refund.... Nope. So it is a no for us. I kinda knew it would be. But the teens were hangry and wanted Barbecue and this is the closest to our house. We got three BBQ plates with two sides. 1) pulled pork with brisket, mac and cheese, loaded potato casserole and a yeast roll. This kid ( my kid's BFF) loved the roll, " it is almost like Hawaiian bread" and didn't finish the rest.The mac and cheese was described as " not ok". 2) pulled pork, brisket, and chicken with a caesar salad that did not make it in the bag and the potato casserole and the yeast roll. My kid liked the chicken, was disdainful in regards to the pulverized brisket (" I bet it isn't sliced because there is no real smoke ring, Mom") , and liked the roll. Ate half my spinach and liked that. 3) brisket and pork ribs, asiago creamy spinach, and the loaded potato casserole. And the roll. This was mine. The "brisket" was terrible, the ribs were surprisingly ok, the spinach was good,and I liked the roll too. It was soft and warm. Some of the other food was not warm. The " loaded potato casserole" is actually mashed potatoes with mysterious flecks of something and a TON of salt. Skip it. Kid:" Mom where are the sauces? " Kid lives for the condiments. There were none. This was a pretty spendy BBQ fail. I can do cheaper and honestly better pulled pork, cornbread, coleslaw, and beans at home. I could even " load" a potato casserole if I wanted to. And that is what we will do next time. Not planning ahead had sad consequences. one star for rolls and spinach. one for the ribs. read more

All the elements were there, but a BBQ prices we must remember to expect something quality. The food was good, but wasn't anything that had me digging for my wallet to double down. I hate to give a 3 star, but this wasnt a 4 star, I wont lie. I would stick to the daily specials and avoid the standard plate price. They have some 11 dollar two meat, two sides (very small 4oz) these are a good deal, and we nabbed the mac n cheese/waffle fry sides to the jalapeno cheddar sausage and the pulled pork 'Thursday special' nabbed a slaw and came with the massive 32oz yellow cup. Sausage was good, big chunks in it and has some spicy kick. Pork was standard, nothing amazing. Sides were good, but waffle fries were great. BBQ sauce here was really really good. Pleasant visit to Dickies last weekend. We've been to Dickies in California and Kansas, always enjoyed it for fast BBQ. Some locations were slightly better than others with slightly different menu options. We were quite happy with this location. I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich as a plate, with onion tanglers and a Cesar salad...the hubby got 4 tacos (both our semi-usual order). The staff taking orders was very friendly...minus the younger guy at the register who wasn't awfully personable. The food came out hot and fresh. Loads of onion rings, plenty of yummy smoked chicken on my soft toasted bun...and the most meat on the tacos we've gotten at any location. Plenty of seating when we arrived, but it was packed when we left. My only suggestion would be smaller, and therefore, more tables. Overall a great visit and great food. We will be back. read more

We had a bad experience at Dickeys. My friend (who is Latina) went in to pickup our takeout order; but they refused to serve her. Customer service online later said the restaurant cancelled the order because they were 'too busy' - but there was no one in restaurent when she went in. No one! So their claim is not very believable... there are other possible conclusions. Dickeys Restaurant online, and Uber Eats (who we placed the order through) is not giving good customer service to resolve this, either. Dickeys is not recommended - AVOID! read more

Well I've eaten here in the past and it was good but this time my employer had a catered lunch for us and since I've had good food from there in the past i along with coworkers we're excited about the lunch that's until the big day came we lined up and we're served one firm roll shredded beef about 1/2 a cup that they said was brisket but why would you shred brisket some chicken same 1/2 cup and potato salad and Mac n cheese that's it no butter no sauce and the cole slaw didn't come out til later so we missed out on that the br-shredded beef was very dry the chicken just dry but really salty I gave away my potato salad and Mac and cheese which was not lookin too appealing it wasn't just me but quite a few of us commented on how this meal was most likely a day or two old lol so much for employee appreciation luncheon. read more

I grabbed a quick lunch while out running errands and realized I hadn't eaten all day and it was already 3pm. Not wanting to spoil dinner in a few hours I opted for the Westerner sandwich. I was slightly more hungry than the slider size sandwich and I was able to choose two meats on the Westerner. It comes with cheddar cheese by default. Not bad at all...The meat was moist and heavily packed into the hoagie. (I actually only ate half so I guess I could have ordered the slider) I opted for double brisket and BBQ beans. The beans were perfectly sweet just how I like them. They have a self serve area where you can choose your own BBQ sauces. Sweet, Original and Spicy. I mixed the sweet and spicy because that's how I roll. They also have onion and pickles to grab at the self serve station. They include an ice cream cones as an added bonus with your meal. There are a few desserts on the menu as well as cookies at the register. ** I checked in on Yelp and received a free drink which I made a huge root beer float ! They also have a Big Yellow Cup Club to earn rewards for frequent diners. Overall I can't wait to come back with the hubs and try other things on the menu. read more
