BBQ is great, sauce is great, super fast and friendly service. The coleslaw is super refreshing! Overall 5 stars.

    LOADED potato

Stopped in for some grub between disc golf rounds at Horning's Hideout while on vacation and got the mixed meat loaded potato. All three meats were great, the potato was well garnished, and all in all just a massive amount of food. I'm assuming it was Chadwick helping us. He was very friendly, and the meal (two meals, really...plenty left over) was amazing. I pretty much never take pictures of my food, but I took one of this to send to my adult kids to taunt them. Yes, there is a potato under there, a huge one, actually. The menu is simple, but I like a place that doesn't try to do everything. Just do what you do and do it well. If you like BBQ, eat here. It's a no-brainer.

Chadwick's Pit is a must for BBQ. The food here hits the spot. I could go on and on about delicious Recipes, or the outstanding service. However I will just urge you to go and try it yourself.

First time visit while visiting family in the area in September 2022. Recommended cart so we satisfied our hunger for some BBQ. Their specialty is BRISKET so my husband ordered it & I ordered a taste of everything on the days menu...WOW! The flavors & freshness were mouthwatering delicious. The BBQ meats, pineapple jalapeño slaw & THOSE BEANS - Oh my!!! We visited 2x during our stay and Chadwick's Pit did not disappoint. Wish we lived closer to enjoy more often. Highly recommended.

Really good bbq. Brisket and pulled pork were excellent and their slaw was unusual and equally good. Quality meat, and lovely service,

Added a side of baked beans 9/10 for both the beans and sandwiches. Great portion sizes, the sandwiches were overflowing with meat. The sauce to meat ratio was perfect. Not too sloppy, but not dry either. Wishing there was a bit more coleslaw flavor but the pickles and onions made up for it. The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were incredibly friendly and shared that they've owned the bar since May of this year. They gave us a little background on the building's history, which made us appreciate it even more. The pub is set in a beautiful old brick building that they've kept true to its original charm while adding just the right modern touches. A smaller setting than I expected from a legend, this cozy tavern offers a comfort that can be felt as soon as you enter and see about 10 tables packed in plus the bar and its stools. Worn and aged wood tables, wood walls plus the bar all show the history and patina of good times. The menu is limited but covers meat, greens and beverage perfectly. I enjoyed a pint of cold Drop Top, and a Jumbo hamburger sided with oodles of tasty onion rings which was in itself a belly buster meal! Certainly, more than I could ever expect to consume in a single sitting. Our server was friendly and attentive. All in all, a solid 4-star experience! This initial visit would have received a 5-star review from me if the burger patty was handmade rather than the Whopper like machine pressed fast food puck.

Pros: + Roasted asparagus was crunchy and young. Not old and woody like at Stanford's. + Good tasting aus ju sauce and creamy horseradish. + Secure packaging for delivery. + Order was accurate. + Decently priced. Appropriate value. Neutral * White cheddar mac and cheese was good, but nothing to write home about. Smooth texture. I wish it was packaged in a separate container so that the juices from steak and asparagus wouldn't seep into it at the bottom. Cons: - Prime rib lacked flavor and character. Needs more seasoning. Meat could use more freshness. - I ordered medium rare and it was more medium rare wild; could have used a tad more cooking time. That being said, I rather that they erred on the side of caution and made more rare than well done. I always finish my steak, but I had to throw away a few ounces for this one. Since the taste of PR was unremarkable, I likely won't order it from here again. However, I am open to trying their ribeye and other side options. More to come in an updated review.
