You definitely get a bang for your buck at this place! Oven smoked briscuit, chicken, ribs; you name it! I've been here quite a few times with my family and it's incredible. First time ever visiting and will definitely be the last. Employees while very nice to the couple in front of me were not very friendly to me. Menu is different from any in use to not offering platters or plates. Everything purchased separately. Very expensive- 2 (1/4lb each, smallest offered)meats and 2 small sides cost over 14$. I was very disappointed with Dickey's this particular day. We have had them cater events when we were in Florida in the past, and their food was always good. I ordered 2 - 2 meat combination meals online at 4:15 pm, and left a decent tip also. When I got there 15 minutes later, there was a note on the door that said "Be back shortly, so I waited. Directly, another customer got out of their vehicle, and went to the door, then an employee came to the door and let him know they were open. The staff was very cordial and friendly, but I got home with half of my order missing, and the order that I did have was cold, and while the brisket was fatty, but okay, the turkey was in about 8 small chunks instead of slices. The cup of "free" onions had gone bad, and were transparent and slimy except for one. I called several times, and no one ever called me back although I left a message. I called again the next day, and the person claimed to be the manager, but told me they could not give me a refund for the meal I did not receive. Her manner was very apathetic. She directed me to call Corporate, but did not know the number. I did find it on my email receipt. The representative at Corporate very kind and placed me on hold while she called, but told me that no one was answering. She told me that the restaurant could reimburse me. She got my email information, and told me that someone would get back with me. Today I got back $13.99 of a $35.54. Never again. read more

Some of the best barbecue you will ever taste... I have both the chop brisket sandwich and the big Southern pork barbecue sandwich..Each was like melted butter in your mouth with every bye... So tender... you can choose your own sauces, as many pickles as you want, and at the end of the meal, you get a free ice cream! Great customer service too... We were passing through Hickory and stopped in for a late lunch. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was great. My husband had the brisket sandwich and loved it. I had the "veggie plate" which was a choice of three sides plus hush puppies. The Mac and cheese was amazing! The baked potato casserole was also delicious. Great food, but order directly from the restaurant if you'd like to use coupons or discounts. The app won't work and it doesn't give you local prices or specials. Otherwise the BBQ it just melt in ur mouth delicious. The brisket melts it's so tender. The ribs, meat just falls of the bone. The pulled pork is incredible. The sides also the slaw and macaroni and cheese the beans are great. It sells meals, family pacs, or meats by the pound. Any way it's great BBQ. read more

Decided to try this place because I was craving some BBQ. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious and atmosphere was nice. It was a little pricey for lunch ($11 for BBQ plus 2 sides and a drink) but not too bad. I will definitely be back as this is the only place around that I have found that serves very good bbq! read more

This place NEVER disappoints! The GM, Eric, runs this place with smiles and courtesy, and we have never had a bad experience. I recommend anything on the menu, it's all very tasty. My favorite side dishes are the flat iron waffle fries and the fried okra. Hickory was in need of a solid and affordable BBQ chain, and we finally got it! Dickeys BBQ has the best brisket we've ever eaten . Good fried okra little too salty for me but I'm sensitive to salt . Great hot spicy sauce too. I'd recommend this place . If we ever come through Hickory again we will eat here again. Found out this was a chain and they have a restaurant near us. We will go again . The lady we spoke with told me if you don't eat salty things ask them to leave off the foofoo seasoning. Problem solved. Nice to know. read more

Both kinds of sausage was very good. The jalapeño cheddar had quite a bite but was a great flavor. The potato salad is very good.

The food is always amazing and the portions are huge!! Very friendly service too. I ordered more than I could eat, and when the manager walked by our table, she stopped and asked if there was something wrong with my food since I had so much left. Went here for the first time several months ago . Last time also, I might add. VERY PRICEY for lunch for two!!!! Almost $20 for two "combos" of pulled pork, chips and a couple of tablespoons of 'baked beans' and beverages. BBQ no better than any run of the mill local 'que'. Very small serving portion of pulled pork and WHY SERVE BBQ ON A KAISER BUN????? Really? A Kaiser bun? Don't you know it goes on a regular style "hamburger" bun???? Whose dumb idea was it to put BBQ on a KAISER bun? We ended up tossing the bun and just eating the "sandwich" without a bun! Baked beans were not very good either. A can of Bush's baked beans would have been better. WE WILL NOT RETURN. Oh, this was not long after the Dickey's in Salt Lake City, UT had served a woman iced tea with a CLEANING SOLUTION (or something) in it and she nearly died. I asked our server behind the counter if this Dickey's location had the proper sweetner in the tea and she said, "Oh, that was not at THIS location." I said, "I realize that.
