Our first time to try. Loved the food and the service. This will be our new place to go for Hibachi Chicken, vegetables and rice.

It seems difficult to find really good sushi no matter where I live, no matter where I am visiting. That's not the problem here. The "problem" is an abundance of selections on the menu. When I visited Sakura I chose the Trio Platter: Spicy Tuna, Corey, Megan. All three were fresh and delicious. I think next time I may try the Shrimp Tempura Roll as part of the trio. I find it very interesting that some of the uncooked rolls have been named after people. In addition to the Corey and the Megan, there are the Debra, Jesse, Charlie, Anthony, Joseph, Amanda, Janet, Terrance, Scooter, Susan, Shelley, and Scott. There is also Lou's Volcano. There is more to the menu than uncooked rolls. There are cooked rolls. There are Tempura Rolls. There is Nigri and Sashimi. There are entrees and wings. There are soups. Some of these selections are named after people, as well. What I am saying is there are plenty of reasons for me to return and enjoy all of the variety of choices. Got there right at the recommended time to pick up my take out order. They told me it would be an extra 3 min, which turned into 20min. There were others waiting as well. When I finally got to eating my food, it was very disappointing. Everything seemed rushed, overcooked and old, hibachi and sushi. Very happy with the quality and service. To try them out I ordered a couple of (cooked) sushi items for pickup and the drive-up window was fast and friendly. I enjoyed the two item I had and the quality was similar to other Japanese restaurants. I will definitely revisit. Their most recent Health Inspection was in June 2021 with a score of 98. read more

Worst sushi I have... brought the jazmine roll and it's super small and too much rice for $12 get better sushi at kuru sushi or Bangkok pho. Really disappointed. They have a very friendly staff here. The Sakura flowers are amazing! They are basically cream cheese filled puffs of goodness. Sushi is good. The 1 star is for when you call to ask what time they close and they say "10pm but last call is 9:30." When you call back at 9pm they will not answer the phone. I was suggested to this particular sushi place by friends on Facebook when I asked where I can find awesome sushi since I was going to be in that area coming from Charlotte area. We ordered a few rolls. Let me see if I can remember them on the top of my head -- Sakura Sakura Roll, Will Roll, Tiffany Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and my husband ordered some sashimi* too. The fish tasted odd and by the time we were leaving I vomited on the floor. Twice. We were not allocated a refund and told if in 2 weeks we had food poisoning to call and come back.
