It seems difficult to find really good sushi no matter where I live, no matter where I am visiting. That's not the problem here. The "problem" is an abundance of selections on the menu. When I visited Sakura I chose the Trio Platter: Spicy Tuna, Corey, Megan. All three were fresh and delicious. I think next time I may try the Shrimp Tempura Roll as part of the trio. I find it very interesting that some of the uncooked rolls have been named after people. In addition to the Corey and the Megan, there are the Debra, Jesse, Charlie, Anthony, Joseph, Amanda, Janet, Terrance, Scooter, Susan, Shelley, and Scott. There is also Lou's Volcano. There is more to the menu than uncooked rolls. There are cooked rolls. There are Tempura Rolls. There is Nigri and Sashimi. There are entrees and wings. There are soups. Some of these selections are named after people, as well. What I am saying is there are plenty of reasons for me to return and enjoy all of the variety of choices. Very happy with the quality and service. To try them out I ordered a couple of (cooked) sushi items for pickup and the drive-up window was fast and friendly. I enjoyed the two item I had and the quality was similar to other Japanese restaurants. I will definitely revisit. Their most recent Health Inspection was in June 2021 with a score of 98. read more

Worst sushi I have... brought the jazmine roll and it's super small and too much rice for $12 get better sushi at kuru sushi or Bangkok pho. Really disappointed. Sushi is good. The 1 star is for when you call to ask what time they close and they say "10pm but last call is 9:30." When you call back at 9pm they will not answer the phone. I was suggested to this particular sushi place by friends on Facebook when I asked where I can find awesome sushi since I was going to be in that area coming from Charlotte area. His shrimp and chicken hibachi noodles.. instead of thick noodles, he got ramen-esque noodles that were overcooked and hard as well as overcooked and dry chicken. We just ate it because we were hungry and on a time constraint. Asked for a water to go at the end and declined when it was going to cost us an extra $2. The two flies circling us were unpleasant as well. Also had to maneuver around a line of staff to get to the restrooms. Basically, the ambiance and the food left much to be desired.
