Some folks just don't know how to order good food or savor the best qualities of what this fantastic place has to offer. Good wholesome food at its finest and the folks here treated me with respect and kindness. I love how it's so spacious and next to a gas station in case I need some extra stuff after I eat and they play some nice country music. I highly recommend this spot. Not sure about them picky tourists who cause a ruckus. Those are some ungrateful folks if you ask me but I'm just bantering at this point. Don't mind me. read more

Check your bill for a "HIDDEN" charge for "Renew/Recycle Program" on a dine in meal. Nowhere was this charge posted or advertised and although not a big number, 1.75%, but added without knowledge. Seems unethical to charge for something and not make it clear to customer that there is an added charge on the bill. Probably means I won't ever return to a Dickey's BBQ place. read more

I have been wanting to try Dickeys for a while. Today got the chance. The location itself shares space with a convenience store/gas station. It is unreasonably hard to get in and out of the parking lot due to proximity to the interstate and N Main with the traffic. I'm not real big on surprises when it comes to menu pricing and I try to research this before dining somewhere. I found that the portioning didn't fit what Dickeys was charging. This is something they should look at especially if I see skimpy guidelines on how many ounces a plater should serve the guest posted on the wall. I found that the brisket was tender but a bit overcooked with no smoke flavor detected. The jalapeno cheddar kielbasa was some of the best I've had anywhere. Beans had a solid flavor and the potato casserole was hearty and filling. I will probably visit again in the future to try a BBQ sandwich combo. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place the portion of the loaded baked potato with meat are way to small, it's not even an actual backed potato but mashed potatoes with the toppings and meat thrown on top of it, not only that I found someone's hair in either my butter or it came from my sauce. read more

Many Pros, few cons! Pros: Convenient; Placed a pick up order and it quick and easy to pick up Friendly staff that greeted quickly after I walked in even though they were in the middle of something Great food!! I Do not normally leave reviews of this nature, but I think it's important. It's the owners of this restaurant are aware what I saw today. First, I will say that the order was prepared the way I asked, and was not bad, although it could've been warmer and had a little more sauce. But that was really not the issue , only problem with it really was the woman who took my money for my order had the filthiest fingernails and I have ever seen on a woman. Seriously Visible dirt beneath every fingernail. And I'm not already received my food and knew that the man who took my order, had prepared it, I would not have accepted any of it. And honestly considered telling her I wanted my money back and giving her back to Food at that point and had I not been in a big hurry I would've done so. I just did not have time for a fight for my money. Dealing with the public in a restaurant should always have clean hands whether they are preparing the food or not if they are anywhere near or touching your food should not have filth beneath their fingernails. read more

Dickey's Barbecue Pit - More than half our sandwich is fat - Barbeque Near Me - Baytown, Texas

This is not totally the fault of Dickey's, but they bear the responsibility for who they trust to deliver our orders. This was a delivery order, but the receipt had "pick up" printed on it. The items that I ordered were 1/4 lb sliced brisket, Texas toast, individual baked beans, and a giant baker, with extra of everything. The "extras" appeared to be just regular portions. The beans are way too spicy. The big problem, however is the brisket being omitted from the order. We were shorted from an important part of the meal. As soon as I discovered the item missing from the list, I immediately contacted Dickey's to tell them to stop the driver, but they claimed he was already gone. My debit card has been charged $23.73 for two individual sides, and a large potato side. Interestingly, the receipt attached to my bag shows a total charge of $16.21 So, my memory was correct--I HAD ordered the brisket. So, who messed with the register receipt, and why? Why was the brisket removed from my order? Did Dickey's do it? This is very suspicious. The young man in charge dumped it on me, and refused to give me the DoorDash phone number. I am concerned that scamming is in progress, and I intend to follow up with whoever has a need to know. read more

I don't really have much to say. It's a barbecue place so expect barbecue. Sometimes it has flavor, other times it doesn't. It's kind of expensive for the little portions you get. I always order a 3 meat all chicken plate with 2 sides & a dinner roll. It always looks like 1 meat and 2 sides. 3 meat plate costs $13+. I went to this location the other day and got something along with my girlfriend. Our total WITHOUT drinks was $30+ she got a 1 meat plate & I got a 3 meat plate. It's just a hit and miss, if you got the money want to spend it kind of place. read more
