I wanted to order here a few times before writing a review to solidifying my thoughts on Space City BBQ being some of the best bbq I have had anywhere. It is top tier and can easily hold their own against any of the original Texas bbq establishments in central Texas including Lockhart the bbq capital of Texas and depends who you talk to, the country. The owner/pitmaster Logan has been featured on Texas Monthly recently and trust me he is the real deal! Now on to the food. Space City features Smoked brisket by the half pound at $15. The brisket has an excellent bark and is tenderlicious! They often have plated specials and different takes on bbq quite frequently from items like a bacon jam burger, turkey pork belly club sandwich, bbq Ramen, pork belly burnt ends.Ribs are also a staple everyday. They have also been known to feature blackberry/crown royal burnt ends! They also feature sides ranging from potato salad, bbq brisket burnt end beans, cornbread casserole, and macaroni cheese. I also wanted to point out to any sports radio listeners in Htown, on occasion John Lopez's OG Sauce is featured on the menu infused into Logan's bbq chicken! They do cater. They are not open everyday but as of this writing they are open thurs thru sat 11am till sold out. Don't miss out on coming here you definitely won't be disappointed!

You might have to brave the Houston heat and humidity, but this Texas Monthly Top 100 BBQ award winner is a food truck with real potential. The spot has a lot going for it, even if a few tweaks could land it in the top 50. The brisket was a highlight--moist, delicious, and seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and garlic (SPG), letting the quality of the meat shine through. The ribs had a good pull and weren't too "hammy" for a spare rib, though I found the seasoning a bit heavy. The pork belly burnt ends were a great cut of meat, with a rich, buttery flavor and a savory fat cap. While they were good, I personally prefer a sweeter burnt end with less garlic. The jalapeño and cheese sausage was my least favorite of the meal. The double-grind texture was nice, but it lacked a rich, deep flavor, and the use of a white cheese instead of the traditional cheddar was an unexpected choice. As for the sides, the cornbread casserole was a delicious and mild-flavored classic. The pinto beans were a standout, packed with flavor and elevated by the inclusion of pork belly burnt ends mixed in. Overall, this is a very good barbecue spot, but it leans a bit heavily on its seasoning. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, especially when the weather is a bit cooler.

Brisket with potato salad and macaroni and cheese! Look at the juicy meat! Very tasty. Will be back!

CATERING - When hosting events at the house, I use Daniel's frequently to order meat/sausage by the pound to make things easier on me. SERVICE- The folks here are very friendly and helpful. ATMOSPHERE- The decor is warm and inviting. Tables are very big. Very clean environment. Live bands from time to time are a nice touch but it would be better to have a stage outside by the tree. MEAT SELECTION- Initially, they advertised selling wagyu cuts but I've never seen that happen. Overall, I would like to see a larger selection of quality cuts. I HIGHLY recommend a visit to this humble establishment for some of the best bbq in the area.

Here's a clear, honest review you can post:…read more I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one really disappointed us. We stopped by Daniel's Meat Market expecting good barbecue, but the food completely missed the mark. The chopped beef sandwich was honestly terrible -- it tasted like fish, which is the last thing you expect from beef. It wasn't even chopped fresh in front of us; it was sitting in a big pan, and there was absolutely no barbecue flavor at all. My wife and I each took one bite and couldn't eat it. We ended up throwing the whole thing away. We also tried my son's brisket, and it was just as disappointing. No smoky flavor, no real brisket taste -- just bland and forgettable. I'm not trying to be harsh, just honest. We really wanted to like it, but the quality just wasn't there. Very disappointed overall.

Keep it up because your doing great!! This time we ordered the lodes potatoes and they are huge and tasty!! We ask for the bbq sauce on the side . We ordered ala carte order of fish, and 1lb of ribs. The breading on the fish was well seasoned, but we were a little disappointed in the size of the Fillets, considering they said it's about $4 each. The ribs were nice and tender, but the flavor wasn't the best. The restaurant had an older ambience to it, which aligned with the OG BBQ theme. The staff started off somewhat cold, but they were friendly and helped guide us through the menu as we were somewhat confused to start.
