Remember, this place has been on national TV before...extremely consistent, hot and fresh steak fingers that can't be beat! I'm glad I was in the Midland-Odessa area because we made a trip just to Andrews for Buddy's. The $20 basket can be shared. The gravy is great and so are the fries and slaw. This drive-in/drive-up was delicious. If we make it back that way, we will enjoy Buddy's again! For now, I'll remember it in my dreams ...hahaha!

RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4.5 | Ambiance: 3 | Price: 3 PARKING The parking lines were difficult to see on 1/9/2024, but just pull in and a staff member will come out to take your order. LOCATION/AMBIANCE It looks a bit rundown on the outside, but it's mostly a drive-in. It seems like the dining room has been closed for quite a few months due to staff shortage. I hope this changes soon because this looks like an awesome diner. THE GRUB The steak fingers basket ($15.25) had the best steak fingers I have ever had. Only one strips had some tough pieces. The cream gravy comes in a somewhat small cup. My family has always been big on gravy... they don't do a simple dip -- no, no -- they do dip and scoop method. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I'm not sure if there is a kid's menu. The menu on the wall was a bit hard to read in its entirety. My 9 & 10-year-olds ended up ordering cheeseburgers ($9 each) with an order of crinkle fries ($3.25). These didn't come with drinks. SERVICE At first I didn't realize that the dining room was closed. We waited a while for the long employee we interacted with to come out to take our order. She didn't write anything down and that always concerns me. Lol. My youngest daughter said her cheeseburger was sans cheese. The food is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait upwards of 25-30 minutes. MY FAVORITE PART... The steak fingers & cream gravy! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The fries were terrible. Also, I wish their plates or baskets came with drinks for the price they charged. TIP Call ahead for order pickups: 432-523-4890.

And frankly this is the best steak kabob, rice pilaf, and fries that I've had in a long time. It beyond hits the spot! Where we went wrong, however, is by ordering it for pickup via DoorDash, as that is what comes up as an option via Google. I am disabled and currently very sick so I sent my husband to pick it up for me and when he got there, they said they had the order and that it would be right out. The manager brought the food out and asked him if he would be paying with cash or card. When my husband explained it was prepaid via DoorDash, her friendly demeanor changed and she LAID INTO HIM about how "you DoorDash drivers know better than to come in here like customers! You are supposed to go in the other entrance and pick up your orders there!" He explained he wasn't a driver for DoorDash and didn't know anything about that because it was a pickup order for his wife but she couldn't care less. It's too bad the food is so good because if you treat my husband poorly, we aren't coming back to keep giving you our money in the future. Please fix how you treat people! Even if he was a DoorDash driver, that behavior was uncalled for! Everyone has feelings and it's still money coming into your business!

I am very happy that I found Saint Blaise as they hit all three of my marks for restaurants that I take customers to. Food: The food was great. I wanted to get the steak and potatoes but it was $50+ which I thought was a bit steep for just steak and potatoes. I opted for the blackened salmon which was cooked perfectly with delicious broccoli and mashed potatoes on the side that were also cooked perfectly. The gnocchi had a perfect consistency with a non-overwhelming sauce so also phenomenally done. The two drinks I got: Same Place and Maple Manhattan were well-made with each component complementing each other well and not overpowering one another. If you like tequila and manhattans I think you will be happy. Service: The servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire visit especially with the waters. Huge kudos! Ambiance: I will say because the inside space is a bit tight and small, having conversation when the restaurant was busy proved a bit difficult but if that is the case they do have seating right outside in the lobby area and having conversations there should not be an issue. I will make sure to be back with customers here!

What is going on with these steaks?…read more As the 1 star reviews indicate there are significant challenges with the steaks. First attempt Jan 3 2026. I ordered NY strip (Wagyu) and specified medium. What came out was a steak that was half rare and other half barely medium. Like the steak was half on the stove and other half just hanging around. The rare part was so rare it was still attached to the cow. 2nd attempt March 17th 2026. Learning from previous experience I ordered same steak, Wagyu NY strip, as a medium well. I was thinking some 'Kentucky windage' on the steak cooking might get me a better result. Nope. Now the steak was well done and the ends were just...carbon. It was over salted as well. These are $100+ dollar steaks. I eat at Delmonico, The Cut, Prime, restaurants in Vegas 2-4 times a year. The steaks at these premium establishments are $20-$30 less and never disappointing. If Cowboy Prime could come close to this level of performance, I'd be down there 2-3 times per month. The good Caesar salad is off the charts good. Crab cakes good Rock shrimp good All American burger good Whipped potatoes are fantastic. Drinks are good. Dessert menu is slim but very good offerings This place has alot of potential. If they can get over the hump on the steaks this would be amazing. I would also try to enforce a dress code. The worst I saw was a guy in a tattered, ripped, and dirty hoodie with a green beanie, and quite frankly looked "unhoused".

Easy to spend over $1,000 here, but also not hard to leave for less than $100/person and have everyone waddling out with a loose button. Fantastic restaurant.

Imagine going to Brooklyn and the only pizza joint available is Little Ceasar's and you have some idea of my general level of barbecue frustration. I spent 14 hours in mouth watering anticipation and was anxious to get eating. At noon, I loaded myself and my mother into the car and bee-lined for the location indicated on their post. When I pulled up, there were no other cars there, which is a shame. After all, if we don't support local restaurants, we deserve all the mass produced chain crap that we get. I ordered a 1 neat plate (brisket) and my mother got a 1 meat plate (ribs) for a total of $20. Each plate had about 3/4 to 1 lb of meat, a cup of potato salad and a cup of pinto beans. First, the sides. The potato salad was a mustard type (the ONLY kind, in my opinion) and was just about the most delicious potato salad I've ever had. It was at least the best I've had lately. The beans were generously seasoned and loaded with large chunks of pork. As a guy who spent 49 years hating beans, the fact that I ate every last drop if this magical legume concoction is pretty amazing. On to the meat. My brisket had a smoke ring about 1/2" thick with a crunchy, smoky bark and a no-nonsense, beefy flavor. No reason to gild the lily with ridiculously complex rubs. These guys keep it classic with the brisket and let the meat do the heavy lifting. If I had any complaint, it would be that I would really have enjoyed some meat from the fattier point to moisten up the leaner, drier flat. Otherwise, I recommend this joint to all die hard carnivores as well as recovering vegetarians. The truck can be located on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Tractor Supply parking lot and on Wednesdays on South Main Street across from Love's Convenience Store. Check 'em out!

The brisket I was served was very very fat, and it was not rendered out by proper cooking which resulted in a pile of chewey fat with a little meat in the mix. Some of the others had brisket that was dry and crumbly. It did not have a good Smokey flavor, and had a slight taste like it was cooked on propane. The meat I did get was more like a fat pot roast. The turkey was your basic deli processed turkey and was mushy. The sausage I am still trying to identify. It was tan in color with little flavor and the texture was way off. The beans were your standard Ranch Style Beans that were jazzed up a little. The potato salad was basically mashed potatoes. Im confident I will not attempt to eat this food again.
