Soon after we moved in it needed service, they would not come out for the warranty work. A factory freon line failed and all the freon was gone. They nor the factory would do anything. I called out another contractor that repaired the line, recharged the freon. That cost $1600 out of my pocket. More is going wrong, and other contractors have said this is a bad manufacturer. Soon I'll have to do a total replacement at 3-times the original cost. I'm very sorry I used them and I will not use them or recommend them to others. We needed and good job and did not get that!

The last project completed was having a new supply vent installed in my son's room. But I do notice a big issue. The vent feels hot and I can feel hot air around the vent. It appears the new vent is not insulated correctly or I have a leaky duct. Also, the box is not secured. It moves around. I give the company credit for attempting to fix a few things but overall won't be using them again. I need to look for another company to diagnose the hot vent and warm air inside the vent. I checked all my vents and this is the only vent with the hot air inside. Hot air should not be coming through a vent that is turned off. 9/15 - I have spent hours in the attic trying to troubleshoot the hot air leaking in the bedroom. The boot is not sealed. I will attempt to see it will something and prevent hot air from getting in. This whole project has been a big headache. I wish I just left my system as it was and not hired this company to touch it. I didn't want to give 1 star because they attempted to resolve the issues but the techs take a lot of shortcuts and don't do the job right. Very nice techs and sincere but I'm not just not happy with the quality of work. 1. Not happy with the placement of the return and supply ducts. 2. I've had to call another company to replace the boot on supply vent this weekend. They will be moving the location of the supply vent because it is flush against a 2X4. Just a bad location. The supply vent was also not seal properly or screwed down in any way. You could literally pull in out without the vent grill. 3. I have spent maybe 9 hours in my attic just with other techs discussing changes they recommend. 4. I had to hang up ductwork just left hanging on the ground or in odd locations. There was also ductwork on top of my system. I had to fix that too. 5. With all the money spent, my static pressure is still not in the ideal range. I've had 2 other companies measure it. That is another project I need to tackle later in the future. I'm sorry my experience was not great overall but I hope yours is great. 9/25 - I had few HVAC techs stop by and found more issues. The ductwork used is such poor quality that hot air is leaking is my sons room because of the ductwork falling apart. One tech said it looks like leftover from a job or something found in a dumpster. I have been quoted $300 to $700 just to replace the ductwork. Also, I found leaky ducts from the last TruClimate job. I fixed those myself with mastic and tape. Otherwise this company would have cost me even more money. My thoughts, if you hire this company check the work when they are done. I am very close to just disputing the amount charged by this company to undo all the problems this company did.

When our AC unit went out in the lovely Texas…read moreheatwave on 7/22 (aka normal Summer!), Rose was quick to listen to our issues and my comedy around our situation (we have an autistic 6 year old who would've been stuck sleeping in bed with us if we didn't find a solution ASAP). Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend. We will never use anyone else and will always recommend Strickland to family, friends and strangers. Strickland is like family to us!!

They came out the same day, gave me estimates for both repairing and replacing the system, and helped me weigh my options. Since my unit was 18 years old and had needed more service recently, I decided to replace it. Their team came out the next day and, even though I wasn't home, replaced the entire unit with an Amana variable-speed inverter AC unit and compatible heater in one long day. Dylon returned the following week for a quality-control check, and the system has been very quiet while keeping the humidity in the low 50s.
