I have a house built in 1960 and I needed to replace my thermostat. I decided to upgrade to a Nest device, and I was told I need a profession to install it. I called and they explained what they had to do (connect the smart thermostat to power). They came out on time, installed the Nest in less time than I anticipated, and stayed until it was completely set up. The guys were extremely nice and helpful. They even vacuumed the floor where they were working. Overall, great work. I will use them in the future for any HVAC needs. read more

A 11 Air Conditioning came out to our home to check our system as one (Master Bedroom) was not cooling. We were told a part that tell the Compressor to come on was not working and needed to be replaced. Okay we had no problem with that or the cost that the repairman (Jose) quoted to us. The problem I find is with the three units of freon ( or current coolant used) put into the system. My copy of the repair slip says 3 lbs. of R-410A at 85.00 per unit put into the unit and no warranty due to existing leak. ( one unit was discounted per receipt) 1st of all our unit was cooling except one room. There was no mention of repair of the "existing leak", just put more coolant into the system. Why would you do that as it just going to leak out? Why not identify the leak, fix it and then put in freon? When I call the office to complain and express my concern today I spoke with Carlos who said he was the manager. His explanation to me was that it was common practice to add coolant with out seeing where the leak is or repairing it and then adding coolant. I disagree with the so called common practice as Mr. Carlos explained. He said we could call them next year and they will come out before summer to do a maintenance service. That is not going to happen as I do not trust them to do the right thing as I said to him. I would not recommend this company as I think they just padded the bill. I DO NOT THINK IT IS A REPUTABLE COMPANY. Also Mr. Jose was interested in selling us a new unit as he said the two units we have are too small. We have had this house over eleven year from original built and he is the only air conditioning serviceman to say our units are too small. I am telling you DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. read more

Our air con stopped cooling, then parts of the house lost electricity on a Friday night. Carlos the owner was great about calling me back and advising what to check for, what to do next. Oncor repaired the electrical issue and A11 came out early Sat to repair both air cons. Amazing professional service! One unit is over 10 years old and they fixed the issues (compressors) on both units at a great rate (under $400). The A-11 crew arrived on time to replace our 2ton HVAC system. They had all of the new equipment and the tools needed for the job. They performed their job safely and professionally and I was pleased as I watched their attention to detail as they worked. The old equipment was promptly removed and the new equipment was readied for installation. The guys were very methodical in the handling of the equipment to ensure that nothing was damaged. They were super sketchy. The good - showed up on time and ultimately got the job done. The bad - tried to charge me $250 plus labor for a $14.00 part that was covered under warranty. When challenged on that point I got a long story about how they have to cover the cost of their new truck and shirts (??) and a suddenly very pissy attitude. Refused to provide any guarantee on their labor unless I bought an "extended warranty" from them. Charged significantly more than quoted from companies. We have been using these guys for service calls for the last 6 years. Always on time, professional and charge a fair price. We have recently hired them for a big job - they replaced a furnace and repaired shoddy duct work that was done when our house was built in 2011. What a difference their work made! Our unit now runs quietly, only runs when it needs to as opposed to running "all the time". Not only have they fixed the issue at hand, but they also have made a great improvement in the heating/cooling efficiency of our house. Perfect experience! I requested quotes for getting a new A/C installed at my house. Yelp sent 5 messages to different companies, most of them replied very quickly. I wasn't reallu interested in wasting my time, nor others so I requested that they give me a quote before coming onsite. I was fully ware that once they came onsite the price could change, even dramatically, but I wanted to week out that were already way outside the other quotes. Most of them pushed back, a couple eventually wavered and gave me the quote after insisting they could not do so without coming onsite first, which I declines. A-11 not only didn't push back on delivering a quote, they did so quite quickly, after asking a few basic questions which I would expect no less than. After determining that their estimate was a good chunk less than the other responders I invited them to come onsite to do an assessment and provide a formal quote. They came out the same day, and unlike some of the other responders, did not request any fees or charges to do this. After looking around for a bit they said they would put something together as far as a quote and get back to us. They did so later that day and the price was right around the original estimate. The price however, was a good bit cheaper than the other responders, and most of the other responders were fairly close to each other so I had a decent bit of skepticism. We provided the estimate and description to a local AC businessman who is very highly rated in the area and he said it was good equipment and he had no idea how they were able to offer the install for that price. We decided to proceed. A-11 came in and stated it would take 6-8 hours. They showed up on time and began working immediately. They actually finished in just under 4 hours, and offered to do a walk through of what was done. I'm not an expert, but everything looked really good to me, granted, our other unit is very old and not in great shape, but still, the new unit looked great. They seemed to follow all COVID19 safety protocols, they were masks. There were nothing to clean up after they left as far as I could see. I didn't want to write a review until the A/C had been running for awhile. It's been about a month and so far, absolutely zero issues. Our NEST even shows much lower run times after the unit was replaced. Some of that was weather related but I have been watching it and feel it did indeed drop. I would definitely recommend A-11 to others, and I will definitely be having them replace our upstairs unit in the very near future. read more

I live in a duplex and I have been telling my landlord that there is something wrong with my A/C. I decided to take measures I to my own hand, I called this company about 10 minutes ago to get a quote to see how much they would charge to come and diagnose what may be going on with my A/C. I explained to him that it is currently 80 degrees in my place. I explained to him the issues that I'm having with my landlord and that I wanted to pay to find out what the problem is. He began to explain that across America people have lost cell phone service, he is extremely business and to contact my landlord. His phone rang and he told me he had to go. The of the worst things that can happen in Texas is for your air conditioning to go out. This happened to my bro who doesn't write reviews but I'm an eyewitness to the whole incident. My brother was referred to another company and they came out did all the checks and said he needed to replace his indoor and outdoor units. He's been in his home for 17 years and the system was there when he bought the place. He was quoted a price for a top of the line Carrier unit and another model that Carrier manufacturers for a few hundred dollars less and he was all set to go with that until speaking with a friend who recommended A-11. It's always good to get a second opinion because of course he would with a doctor. He called Carlos with A-11, and a few days later and he came out gave it a full check with the same result, new units in and outside. Carlos quoted the for the same Carrier unit at half the price of the first company. He said he believes it's better to have more customers because he's not out to get rich. He also stated they get most of their business by word of mouth. It's so nice to do business with a company that believes in honesty. They were also very professional; they set up a time, arrived on time and completed the work within the time they quoted. An issue came up with the breakers that were installed with his previous units and his water heater. His indoor unit and his water heater were installed on the same breaker. Carlos suggest they be separated for safety (our cousin is a licensed electrician and after a confirmation call with him) my brother picked up the breakers and Carlos changed them at no additional charge. My brother's air was running smoothly within a few hours and it looked like no one had ever been there. A job well done at a fair price. read more

Was going to give A11 a rating of 5. They came out, gave us a quote for a new hvac unit cash pricing. Not only a better unit but priced less than others. They did an excellent job installing the unit. We called them back to install new ac ducting. Near end of job, noticed a foot hole thru our living room ceiling. We immediately showed them. The 2 workers, after speaking to each other, came back, stated it was water damage, not their fault and left. This is clearly a foot thru the ceiling, between and off of the rafters where you aren't supposed to walk! There is no sign of current or previous water damage at that location. I would have been ok with " we are so sorry, what can we do to make this right?" They just left. We do have a little water damage in another part of the room which the insurance company is already fixing and it is contained and not in any other part of the room. So this new damage is from someone stepping where they shouldnt, not from anything else. read more
