DiBara helped us install an outdoor BBQ peninsula and a 35' garden wall. All was covered in ledge stone masonry. The appliances were installed very well and the ledge stone looks great. They did a good job finishing the poured-in-place concrete countertop, so the surface is smooth. They also expanded our paver driveway, integrating the new material with the old so the colors blended. They also installed a flagstone/DG walkway and did a nice job ensuring the stones were level. Paul came to my house to take the video first, then in a couple of days I received the estimate. The entire project took two days to complete simply because we had to wait for concrete to harden. I called DiBara Masonry for a quote and a company representative went into a huge spiel about how great the company was and what the process would be for getting an estimate. She sent me an email follow up requesting project information. I sent a pdf of the drawing set, site photos following the guidelines in the email video. The consultation was scheduled for 11:15am - 11:30am, and I confirmed it and responded to the email. I waited as 11:15am then 11:30am went by and I called DiBara Masonry back. A woman answered and asked me for ALL of my information again and said that someone would call me shortly. THEN, my cellphone rang once and I answered and the caller had hung up already. No voicemail was left. Then I called the number back and no one answered, the voicemail was for an Erin. SO, I called the office mainline again and I got a man this time who again took down all of my information for the second time and said someone would call. No one did. Honestly, why have such a fancy system of reviewing a job and so many people answering phones if no one actually is going to provide any feedback or bid on the project? This is a long overdue review for DiBara Masonry. We had a new driveway put in by a contractor recommended to us. While he did a good job overall, he left a yellowish hue on the concrete. The more he tried to repair it with acid and other means, the worse it got. Our friend recommended DiBara. The experience was excellent from start to finish. While the estimator was honest in not guaranteeing anything because of the damage already done, the result was actually pretty close to perfect. DiBara did a great job. I had a cracked brick planter and a stone patio that had a lot of cracks. The owner came out and gave me a price. They made several trips out to color-match the existing grout of the patio and completed the job quickly. When the mortar dried, it didn't match in a few places. The owner of DiBara came out again, saw the problem areas and agreed that it looked bad and wanted to fix it. His team fixed the issues (even taking the time to put in several color- samples to get the right color). Throughout the process, I always felt their top priority was that I was satisfied. They were very honest and upfront. I had the opportunity to meet several of the DiBara company employees, and everyone was great. I will hire them again for any future issues I have. This is an unusual post as i haven't used Dibara YET! But when i need something done i know who i am calling. But i wanted to share my experience with everyone which is few and far between these days. Which i think is very important! I reached out to about 6 masonry companies looking for someone or a referral of someone to restore my late fathers antique ornate cement planters that were damaged when moved to our home. Every company quickly said its to small of a job and they don't do that or just didn't have the time to refer anyone. But Paul at Dibara, listened to me, had me send pics, then followed up with 3 other companies in the business who might be able to help or know of a skilled mason. Last resort he said I could try Home Depot and go to the Pro desk looking for a skilled mason. The fact that he took that time meant the world to me and i've already shared his name and this company to all my neighbors. I only want to be in business with a company who cares this much to help anyone out, how big or small the job is. And in this case, not even a job for them but someone else. That speaks VOLUMES!!! A pleasure from start to finish! We researched and got bids from several companies before deciding on DiBara. Surprisingly, it was difficult to find a company interested in even bidding on our driveway apron repair, but DiBara jumped right in. Every communication with the DiBara office, through Yelp and then via email, was quick and easy. There was even a short video DiBara sent telling us exactly what to expect, including the $97 bid fee (that would be discounted off the cost of the job if we decided to go ahead). Our initial on-site meeting with owner Matt DiBara couldn't have gone better. He explained exactly what needed to be done, and even gave us three levels of repair (and cost) to choose from. His bid included a video that gave a detailed description of the scope of work so we'd know exactly what to expect. Our house is difficult to reach, but all the DiBara crew members made it look easy. They were friendly, efficient, and professional. The demo was done with extra care to avoid damaging nearby drainage and plumbing. DiBara worked with our plumber to assure the integrity of the plumbing, then wrapped the pipes before the concrete pour to protect them. We're located on a narrow, hillside street, so DiBara made sure to dig deep enough to properly seat the footings and used rebar to guarantee the final concrete form wouldn't slide. The end result looks fantastic! Matt even suggested and installed a bollard to help prevent any future damage. We hope DiBara enjoyed working with us because they're stuck with us for life. You know a company is excellent when you're sad to see them go at the end of a months-long project at your home. That's how I felt when Matt DiBara and his team finished up my massive backyard project over the summer of 2018. Matt inspired such confidence in me when I first met him that I decided to do a much bigger project than I'd originally planned. And I'm so glad I did! We transformed my backyard, which was mostly a sloped lawn, into a much more usable, terraced entertainment space. This involved demolishing an existing deck, removing a huge lawn, and carving out planting beds and a wide central limestone set of steps down to a lower stone patio. And they also had to tie into existing stonework in our lower garden. Matt and his team, especially our site supervisor "Flip", are perfectionists. They worked from my own design, which had some issues since I'm not a landscape architect, and problem-solved in a positive, constructive, and sometimes genius way. They really cared about making this project everything I'd hoped it would be. I could always count on Matt to make sure that I'd be happy with my choices. From exactly matching my existing brick and stone to convincing me to demo an old set of steps that I'd, foolishly, thought I'd keep. And all of the excellence and perfectionism was done with a respectful eye toward costs. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend DiBara for concrete and masonry projects. We contacted DiBara Masonry for a quote on a brick and stucco mailbox. DiBara promptly responded, we discussed the project by phone and they conducted a site visit. We exchanged sketches and DiBara sent us a very reasonable quote. We worked with members of the DiBara team on each step: contract, scheduling, and installation, and each were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Christina was very helpful in the contract. Edgar scheduled a mutually convenient time for installation. John and James arrived at the scheduled time and completed the mailbox in one day. John matched the mailbox to our home's appearance. Jose came back a few days later (on time) to install the numbers. We needed a new block retaining wall between our backyard and our neighbor's backyard. I contacted several masonry companies over a period of a month or so. It was a small but tricky project, because we have a large pine tree very close to the fence line. Several other contractors came out and looked at it, and two or three of them even talked about some different approaches they felt they could use to rebuild the damaged wall without disturbing or damaging the pine tree, and they promised to send quotes. But after waiting several weeks and calling those other contractors multiple times, they never provided quotes. DiBara came through! They know what they're doing and they're not afraid to bid on tricky jobs! Getting this block wall replaced ended up costing a little more than they originally quoted because when they dug down they found that the original footing was not built properly. But Paul, the senior project consultant, made it clear when he quoted the job that until they demo'd the old wall, they wouldn't know how much footing work needed to be done. Paul and I looked at what was left of the original footing, which should have been solid concrete, and it was about as robust as "sinking sand", to quote the Bible :). The job was done in a timely manner, and the new footing and wall were built in such a way that I'm confident this wall will last many, many years! read more

We had some insurance issues we needed to straighten out asap and Matt and Ryan were very understanding and managed to get a crew out to us within a week. The work required a lift and once on the job, and close to the damage, found much more extensive damage. Somehow they managed to get all the work done the same day and save our skins. Not only were they quick, but both our onsite manager and myself got a good vibe from Matt when we first met him. He pointed out other issues we didn't even notice (that had nothing to do with his work, so it wasn't like he's make money on it), was pleasant, prompt and professional. 1/19/2019. Our job with DeBara Masonry was a large job. It involved a sloped driveway and pathway on the side of the house from front to rear. From the first consultation to the last day on the job, those involved were courteous, professional and worked in a timely manner. They were helpful and took into consideration our concerns of the main and irrigation water lines that would be covered with concrete. This is a review of this company not by the work, but by the experience of even considering them as a potential company to work with. Today, I got an email bill from this company from an initial meeting in October 2020 with a $97 consultant fee, I had no idea there was going to be a fee in the first place. I can liken it to a bill collector trying to collect a (bogus) fee that was dated a little under a year ago. Are these people for real? Nowhere did this company mention they were going to charge a consultant fee to bid on my project, who does that? No other company charged me. What consultant work did this company even perform to warrant such fee? I called this company to see if they could give me a bid for masonry work and I was getting several bids at the time. I must mention when I first met the owner of this masonry company I was a little put off by the arrogance. The young man --who is probably the son of the owner who did all the work to build the company --came off cocky and to top it off he was looking for my husband as the owner of the home. Women own homes too! I was the one who called you for the bid, why would you be looking for a man? Offensive yes! However, I thought I would give them a chance and see if they could work on our project. By the way, mind you the second wave of the pandemic hit around the end of October, beginning of November and so it was not a smart idea to even start work on this project until it was safe. I decided to put off the project until 2021. So it's a surprise to receive a call from a woman requesting payment almost 9 months later and leaving the longest voicemail. This company's tactics are laughable and I am here to warn other people this is the kind of experience you will get with this company. I do not remember being told I would need to pay to interview a company. Is this normal standard procedure to nickel and dime prospective customers? By the way, the project is still going to go through-- just not with this company. If this company had real customer service skills they would have called to see where we were with our project timeline and they could have called and asked "hey are you still looking for a contractor?" and I would say "yes, I still am, and ready to start the project!"
