Anna, Paul and their crew did an amazing job helping us replace our patio pavers and update our drainage and watering system. The whole process went so smoothly from the design phase down to the final installation. They were very accommodating to our schedule and worked with us to find an estimate that worked with our budget. They even helped give advice on future updates we plan to do ourselves. I appreciated Anna's style and suggestions, and we were very impressed with Paul's team and the craftsmanship that went into fitting the pavers into a special shape to work with our space. Looking to renovate my backyard and install a new paver driveway, I consulted multiple landscaping and paver companies at the Pasadena Home Show. I met with multiple other companies who did not align with my vision, who did not reflect my needs, and gave me inflated quotes. I think there are probably less expensive companies out there however I decided to go with this company because I know that quality of the work was superior to other companies. After meeting with 3 other companies, John Durso was my last appointment of the day. I appreciated his knowledge of concrete paving and his patience in explaining some processes of the extensive driveway I had to replace for a client. When considering all the factors and drawing on John's experience, we choose to use paver bricks instead of pouring concrete (for a 120' driveway). John provided color and size samples and then was able to get the special size & color mix I requested. Which was no mix at all!...just a single color and single size. When the work began, the crew was very hard-working, knowledgeable, and polite. The demo and re-grading was efficient and thorough. I choose slot style drains, which required more time and skill to have laid out properly. The hand-work that when into laying out 12,000 pavers was awe-inspiring AND laser-straight lines! Plus, all the corner cuts and cut-arounds were precise and tight. When the city inspector required a last minute change to the apron; John, Jorge (foreman) and the crew put in weekend time to complete the project before the deadline. We had a sprinkler lateral line leak surface 3-years after installation. When I called the company to help me trouble shoot the issue, they went out of their way to make my request a priority and sent over one of their best technicians (Brian) the same morning. I expected the technician would assess the problem and schedule a repair at a later date. But Brian assessed the issue and began working the repair. In two hours time the complex repair was completed and the before and after pictures say it all. We used Picture Build to install a complete drought tolerant landscape design solution including a drip sprinkler system throughout. The entire process is seamless - from design to post-completion walk-through. The entire project was completed under 2 months. The various teams from PB were synced so well with their schedule that there was not a day wasted. My husband and I came in with no idea on permit processes, materials, design, or equipment needs, and PB team took care of them all. Our designer, Dana, helped us narrow down what we like and sourced the materials at the most reasonable prices for us and modified our design to match our vision. The integrity of this company personally and professionally is top notch! Picture Build was punctual and worked very hard nonstop through extreme heat to complete our project. They also worked with our yard design ideas, but also suggested some great ideas as well, to get the desired results. The overall job was to add a flagstone walkway, a new front lawn + plumbing, and pavers + plumbing (for a raised garden) in the side yard. Working in two separate crews completed the job, Carlos and Antonio did an amazing job laying the flagstone pavers, building the front yard planter boxes, and laying the side yard pavers (see photos). The craftsmanship of these guys was truly impeccable, and the front walkway and front planters look better then we could have imagined, and the side yard pavers seamlessly tie into the pavers we already had. Again they both did a fantastic job on the hardscaping! The next crew, Nacho and Alex, did a beautiful job of removing the old lawn, replacing all the plumbing for the sprinklers, and then laying drip lines for the new front yard and entry planters. In addition, Daniel and Jorge, our sales consultant and project manager, did a great job staying in close contact with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work throughout the process. Picture Build completed our multiple yard project on schedule as promised and we are very happy with the results. Nicole helped us think through what we wanted and had some great ideas to transform the space. Picture Build just finished a large job for us, completely overhauling our backyard and we are thrilled with the results! We initially met with the owner, Brian, and literally 17 days later the crew was out here starting our job. When Brian and Jorge (project manager) told us that the crew would be done in 6 weeks, we were a little skeptical. We had 2500 square feet of concrete to demo and replace with pavers, grading, new drainage, new seat retaining wall, moving our existing retaining walls, building a bar, moving our pool equipment, installing turf and decomposed granite areas, and building a fire pit. Other than a one day delay due to rain, the crew finished exactly 6 weeks later. WOW! Jorge was an excellent project manager, always communicating the progress, any changes that had to be made, and making great suggestions along the way. The crews were all wonderful, especially Max, Gabriel, Domi, and Juventino. Juventino and his crew would stay until 7pm some days in order to make sure the job was completed when promised. Having worked with other landscaping contractors in the past, I can say that Picture Build stands above the rest. Compared to past experiences, the communication, management, quality of work, and team are superior. We chose a modern design that was not the easiest to construct, but the team pulled it off exceptionally well. Everyday the team was right on schedule and working efficiently. Shaka, Adrian, Hugo, and Josh did a great job making the design come to life. Shaka and his team in particular did a very good job on all of the concrete forming. It was meticulously constructed and the finished product was exactly what we were looking for. Project Managers Melinda and Victor were on top of things. They were always available and personable. Melinda saw the project through from start to finish and made sure the job got done right, speedbumps and all. There are many newly constructed yards in my neighborhood but I think ours stands out. You can definitely see the quality difference of a Picture Build yard. Even much more "expensive" looking and ornate yards in the community don't have the level of finish that ours does. We had a fabulous experience with Picture Build to redo our entire backyard with hardscape and landscape. From the start, we worked with the designer Dana, who mapped out a fabulous plan for our backyard. We couldn't even imagine what could be done with our backyard and she took it to a whole new level!! She was patient with our changes and we developed our design for a reasonable price and quickly. We decided on extending the patio, installing pavers around our new pool, and putting in planters around the edges of the backyard. We also wanted to save a few aspects of the backyard that were already there like the brickwork and some of the trees and Dana made it so easy to these aspects into our design. Once we were ready to start the work, Dana made sure we were able to get on the schedule quickly, as we were trying to manage a bunch of projects at our house. George, the project manager, was very communicative from the minute we schedule the start date for the job. He stopped by almost every day and made sure we knew everything that was going on and if any changes needed to be made. George's crew of Max and Andre were absolutely outstanding!! Not only were they incredibly hard workers, but they were communicative, clean and respectful of my property, and made the 3 weeks of work as easy as can be when you are doing construction. We loved that they asked us about even minor changes in design and didn't go ahead with any of the work until we were absolutely sure. The final result has completely blown my mind and I couldn't be happier with the way Picture Build conducted business and made it happen. We worked with Alex on a project to transform our small townhouse backyard into a usable space. Alex was very easy to work with at the design phase, and after the initial meeting he even provided us with 3D renderings of what the yard could look like. We compared with three other contractors, and no one was as easy to work with, or as helpful as Picture Build. They also had the best price. The work was delayed for some time due to our travel and nonstop rain, but once the job started, Fidel, Alex (different Alex), and Jesus worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly to make this yard a reality. They finished the project in exactly the four days they expected, even with a bit of extra work due to some late changes. Overall, the build process went very smoothly and the team was easy to work with when we wanted to add a couple more in-ground lights and add a step to ease the transition from patio to turf. The team was also careful to clean up not just our brand new yard, but they also cleaned the sidewalk pathway outside! The final product was beautiful--our yard went from unusable with mulch and poorly placed plants to a beautiful urban backyard. We are thrilled and can't wait for warmer weather to start barbecuing and hosting here! The only hiccup in the whole process was a delay of a couple days due to HOA approval coming in a bit later than expected. Communication around this delay could have been better, but it did not affect our overall impression. I would be happy to work with the Picture Build team again any day! read more

We had our front lawn landscape installation done by Picture Build earlier this year. It was a good experience, and the lawn turned out beautifully. Mikale was our project manager, and he was super communicative and fantastic to work with. Sal, Dana and the other team members were helpful as well. The team worked very quickly and was done with the job within 2 weeks, where other landscape companies I received quotes from told me it would take about 3 or more weeks. The company is well resourced, and their various teams worked seamlessly. There were inevitable needs for change orders and additional costs that had to be added to the scope of work. Mikale and the team did a good job explaining the need and giving us time to make decisions. We also had them come out to provide maintenance on our property for a few months after the installation. We are glad we had their maintenance team look after our plants. We purposely installed a low maintenance garden, so will not continuing with the service. But, if your property has extensive maintenance needs, Picture Build's maintenance team was courteous and knowledgeable. There were a couple of plants that did not survived and are covered under the plant warranty. At the time of this review, I am still working on getting the plants replaced with Picture Build. We hired this company last year during the summer season to replace our driveway. My wife and I liked them a lot. They were very professional, had a great presentation and their price was lowest then any other proposal we received. After the first winter was gone, we noticed our driveway changing its elevation. The more we drove on it the worse it became. We contacted the company and they refused to send someone to check the problem.
