Henley very impressively redesigned my 18k Gold Yakut Russian yellow miner's cut canary diamond ring to a three stone showstopper. It's truly magnificent. He also fixed my little deco white Yakut Russian diamond solitaire that kept gettin caught on everything, the prongs had wore down & needed to be fixed. Henley had the jeweler redo the prongs on it. The jeweler even came out of the service area & brought me my deco solitaire ring personally & told me how much he enjoyed working on it, as it's very rare to see Yakut Russian miner cut diamonds nowadays. Henley is the sweetest. He showers me with outrageously expensive diamonds while I'm there, showing me this & that adorning me with gorgeous super expensive canary diamond bracelets & jewels just for fun while we share a glass of champagne. We worked with Gwen and Makiz at Diamonds Direct in Dallas on Preston. We were looking for a loose diamond and a specific setting. We had been to four showrooms including Diamonds Direct. Most of the showrooms were run down and unattractive. The Diamonds Direct showroom was lively and welcoming. Gwen and Makiz guided my 87 year old mother and I through the loose diamond buying process with expertise, warmth, and professionalism. My mother was set on a type of setting she had seen at another jewelry store and described it to Gwen and Makiz. They understood exactly what she described, they had a CAD drawing for us in a matter of days. It was even better than the one we had seen else where. My mom has a swollen, arthritic knuckle. They were able to get a shank that opens and latches closed for her. They were able to stabilize the ring with gold balls (actually rectangles) on the inside of the shank. They did all of this and came in under the other jewelers cost, plus the diamond was a better cut, color and clarity. I cannot recommend them enough. Five stars across the board. read more

When I went inside of this location I was offered so much hospitality including beverages that I think might be alcoholic. Maybe I'm mimosas or something. This review is solely based on a first time experience from visiting 3 years ago. When my husband and i were ring shopping, we thought "perfect!" Because this store was so close to where we lived. We had just relocated from SF and thought maybe we would get a better deal for a Diamond in Dallas. Because we were moving from SF, but originally from the east coast, we made sure to get quotes from the three different regions to compare. For one thing, this place was priced higher than both NYC and SF and for lesser quality stones. (Wtf?! Nyc and SF are THE MOST expensive cities in the US!) More importantly, they didn't deliver on any of the specs I had asked for. I requested viewing VS1 or VVS quality diamonds within our budget and instead of saying "we don't have them in our inventory right now", they had us come in only to present VS2 diamonds. So, obviously I was disappointed and it felt like a waste of time. They should have been forthcoming and let us know that that's all they had. What's more is that I felt like they really didn't listen. I kept insisting on a certain quality - I mean, I like what I like. So instead of trying to pawn me lesser quality diamonds that you can make a bigger profit on, how about some real customer service? (My parents were in the diamond wholesale business at one point, so I know the deal.) Finally, our sales associate was some lady that asked a lot of probing and somewhat inappropriate questions. She asked us details about how we met, what we did for work, and whether my husband could set her up with anyone her age because she was recently divorced. It was a total turnoff. Let me just say... we ended up flying back to SF to work with a jeweler, while not cheap, delivered excellent quality diamonds and listened to our request. For our wedding bands, we found a Dallas jeweler and ended up also buying VVS diamond studs from him as well. All this to say, you're being ripped off from an enjoyable experience if you care about the quality and integrity of customer service while spending $$$$. I don't think I've ever left a bad review on this platform before. For starters, the staff seem very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, this review is purely regarding the quality of the pieces. I have four diamond rings and a bracelet from this location. So far, I have had two diamonds fall out of two different rings, and my bracelet snapped in half after only owning it about a year. I'm very gentle with my jewelry. I noticed that the missing stones happen every time I had the pieces professionally cleaned by this business. Fortunately, all of the smaller diamonds are covered and replaced each time it happens. They also repaired my bracelet. However, we are not local and have to drive nearly 2 hours round-trip every single time this happens. Then they mail them back to us. I appreciate that they cover the damage, but the prices were very high to have this continue happening. Unfortunately, I cannot even trust them to clean the pieces anymore as I know it will lead to missing diamonds in the following weeks. read more

I love my engagement ring because my fiance picked it out. What I don't love is how for whatever reason, diamonds keep falling out and how these people cant seem to get it fixed correctly. I have lost (I am assuming) the SAME small accent diamond on it TWICE in two weeks. Meaning it fell out once, I took it in to get fixed and it was a week turnaround, and then a week later a diamond in the exact same position falls out a second time! I'm already annoyed bc why is this happening again? I thought that's what the jewelers there were for. So, the first time it happened I was sad. The second time I was annoyed. I picked it up today after having dropped it off the second time during my lunch break (I was in a rush, trusted it was fixed and put it on and drove off) And when I got to work I had time to inspect, and whatdoyaknow, TWO smaller completely different accent diamonds are missing. I called immediately to let them know and the person I talked to said that when things leave the store they ensure all prongs are fixed and this and that and that maybe something happened after leaving the store that caused this. So this... I can't curse on this review I am sure.. But this woman is saying that I may have been the cause of this. I let her know that I highly doubted that given that I had left their store literally 30 mins prior to our conversation, and all I've done in this time is drive. She took my info and said someone would call me back. I would've loved to have stayed on the phone to express my frustrations with this type of incompetence on an item that is so meaningful to me but I think it was better if I not. Bought engagement ring and wedding bands from Diamonds direct 5 years ago. I recently went back in to sell my engagement ring. I went in twice and the second time left a very sour taste in my mouth. Lady that greeted me didn't even bother to ask any questions about the situation. She simply said they were not interested because of the carat size. She made me feel as if my diamond was way too small to take up any of their valuable time. I then explained I had bought the diamond there and had already had a conversation with someone about the same diamond a week and a half before. The manager then came over and took me into office got my info and said he would check inventory to see if they had space to accommodate my diamond. This made me feel like they were doing some kind of favor. He said he would call me the next day and I have been waiting since then it's been 5 days now. Very disappointed in this place. UPDATE: Went back to Diamonds Direct and the polished up the setting. Absolutely no starches and no more blemish. I bought my fiance's engagement ring here and right after walking in the door the staff was extremely helpful assisting me in finding the perfect diamond. First, let me start off by describing the environment. The store looks elegant and is a two-story building. The staff is also quick to offer a complimentary beer, wine glass, or champagne glass. The whole environment provides a relaxing experience. Never once did I feel the staff was pushy. I had the pleasure to work with Lisa Silberman. Who I highly recommend to help assist you if you decide to visit Diamonds Direct. First, she was willing to take out many diamonds until I found the one that I liked. She was also able to give me the diamond I wanted for my fiancé at a great price. Next, she was able to approve me for the 12 months no financing promo even after reducing the price of the diamond which according to her is something they do not normally do. Finally, she was able to get the diamond mounted on the setting within 1.5 hours after the purchase. Let me mention that I went on a Saturday which is typically their busiest day. Lisa made it a priority to make sure my experience was the best possible at Diamonds Direct. The only reason I have not given Diamonds Direct 5 stars is because the setting the diamond was mounted on had some scratches and a strain/blemish. However, I am going back so they may possibly correct this. I just recommend you carefully inspect you jewelry before taking it home. P.S.
