Mitch and his team are fantastic. They took all the uncertainty out of the process leading up to the proposal. Like most guys probably, I didn't really know what I (she) wanted or many of the questions to ask. As a salesman myself, I'm observant of salesy techniques. Mitch would start with the lower end of the budget and keep asking me "this one costs more - you have to compare it to the lower price one and YOU decide if it's worth more." Ultimately, I decided to upgrade from where I started, but that was all me and him logically talking me through it. The lack of pressure in between visits was impressive. I know from being in sales how tempting it is to close the deal, but he obviously knows from experience a guy need some time to process this huge decision. I finally decided around 5 PM on a Thursday, and dropped the idea of proposing that Saturday. Mitch immediately called the ring supplier and engaged the jeweler who they have in the same building. I picked the finished ring up literally the next day (it was ready by 3 PM). Amazing... We had very little to go on as far as what she wanted. He talked me through everything (what is popular today, why that might or might not matter), and she of course loved it. Every girl commented that "I" did so well without much to go on. It was of course Mitch and Aura's team that made me look good. We look forward to getting our wedding bands there, staying in touch over the years, etc. Would highly recommend to anyone. Our diamond search continued for over a year, and not only have I visited some of the best diamond places in Dallas, but I have shopped in several other states as well. If I am in the market for a diamond again, then this is absolutely where I am going to start. The staff will do a fantastic job of listening to your requests, finding the items that match your needs, and will not "push" you in a direction but will provide great suggestions. They are very informative and were very HONEST with me. I personally spent a lot of time researching diamonds, pricings, quality, etc., before I went to any diamond stores, and Aura's staff was very consistent with everything I read. They also create some very amazing custom designs. If you are looking for something unique, special, and specific, they will make it happen! The following is one of the reasons I liked them more than most everywhere else I shopped. When they brought us several stones that met our initial guidelines, there was a range in the quality between them (obviously the better the stone, the higher the price). During this process, they didn't try to make comment after comment about how amazing each stone was or "push" us towards the highest priced stone (which I experienced at almost all other places). Aura's staff actually talked with us about each stone, asked our thoughts, and made suggestions based on what we were looking for. They will work very hard to get you what you want and are not trying "to make a quick sale." I felt they really wanted to help us acquire a stone we'd love. Additionally, they take the time to get to know you on a more personal level, which is nice when you are about to spend that kind of money! :) Overall, I strongly recommend anyone shopping for a diamond at least contact them. They are an amazing group of people to work with! If you care about how you are treated, want to find a great price on your diamond, would like the touch of custom designed jewelry, and get the biggest bang for your buck, then give them a call. Mitch is by far the most trustworthy diamond dealer in the DFW area. I met with at least 5 other diamond dealers (wholesalers and nationally known retailers) in the Dallas area and none of them came even remotely close to providing the first class experience that Mitch provides. From the moment I met Mitch, I could tell that he was extremely genuine and trustworthy. It was very apparent that his only goal was to ensure that my now fiancé got exactly what she wanted. Other dealers made it obvious they were only trying to make as much money as possible, even going so far as to hold ultimatums over our heads. At no point did Mitch ever try to up-sell me on diamonds outside of my budget (which happened at every other dealer - including another dealer at the World Trade Center in Dallas). In fact, on numerous occasions Mitch helped us eliminate diamonds that were on the higher end of our budget because he felt they were not worth the additional cost over other higher quality diamonds. Additionally, my fiancé had a setting that she had already selected from another jeweler prior to going to Aura Diamonds. Mitch informed us that he could make an exact replica of that setting for $500 less than the original setting would cost. We were skeptical that he could produce this setting to the same degree of precision for such a significantly reduced cost but Mitch over-delivered on his promise by a mile. He made a suggestion to improve the setting that my fiancé absolutely LOVED. All other components of the setting were a perfect replica of the original picture we provided Mitch. All in all, his execution was flawless and his delivery was way ahead of schedule. My fiancé was completely blown away by her ring and has not stopped staring at it since the day I proposed. I can say with 100% confidence that you will not find a higher quality diamond dealer and custom jeweler than Mitch and I promise that you will not find another dealer who will beat Mitch on pricing. Mitch went completely out of his way to work with me on pricing and financing terms that fit my situation. He could have held me to stricter financing terms and pricing and I still would have done business with Aura Diamonds. But Mitch went out of his way to help me and ensure that every part of the experience was convenient and beneficial to me. All in all, Mitch is an extremely genuine person and I am so incredibly grateful that I found Aura Diamonds. By the time the process was over, I legitimately consider Mitch a friend more so than a jeweler. Mitch is amazing. My boyfriend and I went in recently to find the perfect diamond engagement ring, and Mitch gave us a one-on-one lesson on the difference of a good diamond on paper vs in-person. It was incredible being able to view all the stones without the pressure of a salesman trying to force the most expensive one on us. He even let us look inside the diamond so we really knew what we were getting. We both appreciated all the time he took working with us. I worked with Mitch and he did an excellent job of teaching me all the information necessary to purchase a diamond ring. I had visited a mix of mom-and-pops, wholesalers, dealers, jewelers, but no one was invested in my personal knowledge of what I was buying more than Mitch.
