I visited this location for the first time today (Jan 2nd at 5:00 PM) with my boyfriend to shop for an engagement ring. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. We were greeted by a Caucasian woman with long dark hair who made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in. Her lack of customer service was jarring; even after I described what I was looking for, she showed no initiative to let me try anything on until I explicitly asked. Interestingly, her cold demeanor completely shifted to 'warm and helpful' the second her store manager walked onto the floor. This inconsistency shows she knows how to provide good service but chose not to give it to us. It left a very bad taste in our mouth for such a significant purchase. DO NOT shop at Brilliant Earth. I am sharing my experience with photos attached, because words almost don't do justice to how irresponsible, dismissive, and unethical this company has been. My husband proposed in December 2023 with a lab-created diamond priced over $41,000 and a setting priced at $2,350 (nearly $47,000 total). I chose lab-created because it aligned with my values and we were purchasing a home while raising four children. Had I known they were charging $41,000+ for a LAB diamond, I would have NEVER agreed. That is an outrageous and predatory markup, and they took total advantage of him. But that was only the start. 1. They delayed the ring repeatedly and ruined our proposal trip. My husband had planned a proposal in Italy with my entire family present. Brilliant Earth pushed back the delivery date multiple times (emails attached), forcing him to take a loaner ring, for which he had to put down a deposit. The loaner wasn't even close to what he purchased -- different size, different shape, completely wrong. So one of the most meaningful moments of my life happened with a ring that wasn't even mine. No proposal photos with my actual ring, and honestly, embarrassment having to explain that it "wasn't the real one." 2. Less than TWO years later, the ring literally broke into pieces. Photos attached show exactly what happened: the entire setting snapped apart and the diamond separated cleanly from the band. Not a loose prong -- the whole structure failed. I later discovered multiple other customers online reporting the EXACT same setting breaking in the exact same place. This appears to be a known design flaw. 3. They made promises in-store, then reversed them. When I visited the Southlake, TX location (appointment confirmation attached), the manager told me in person that I would receive a full refund for the setting, pending inspection. After sending it in, Brilliant Earth suddenly changed their story and offered only a partial refund -- and then casually mentioned they no longer carry the setting. (Probably because it breaks for everyone.) 4. Our attorney sent a letter -- and Brilliant Earth completely ignored it. No reply. No acknowledgment. No responsibility. This is what a $47,000 ring looks like from Brilliant Earth: A shattered band and a detached diamond -- less than two years later. My advice? Run. Do NOT shop here. Do NOT let your partner walk in alone. And absolutely do NOT trust the quality, craftsmanship, or integrity of this company. Also ... please look at the "business manager" response... not my name and definitely have never spoken to them. We walked in not knowing they preferred having customers make appointments to view engagement rings, but we were assisted pretty quickly. We also appeared to be the only customers in the store at the time so maybe it would have been different on a busier day. They did mention that they only had a small collection to show us since we didn't have an appointment and couldn't show us the complete arrangement they had. I scheduled an appointment here to see if I could find a wedding band and I had such high expectations of the appointment/company. A close friend of mine loves their company and bought her rings from here. The staff were friendly and nice. They took me to another room in the back where we looked at wedding bands... all of their sizes were either 4 or 6 and nothing bigger or smaller. I also had screenshotted the rings that I liked from their website so that I can see them in person. The woman had told me that they didn't have their entire selection in store and the rings that I chose.. none were in store. I wear a size 8 and asked them how I can see how the ring would actually look under my engagement ring and they told me that I would need to purchase the rings at full price and then go from there. Their return policy (I believe) is 30 days but wedding bands aren't cheap and I wasn't going to spend a hefty $ amount on rings that I'm interested in just to see if I like how they look. The service, selection, and value, suck. I ordered something that was supposed to be an anniversary gift for my husband. I was told that it was signature required the said it would be delivered. I took the day off work to stay home to receive package. It's at 9 AM didn't show up said 1 PM. Didn't show up at 3:11 PM. It said delivered my doorbell never rang. No one ever knocked. I went and looked. It wasn't there. within two minutes I called brilliant and told him my package was not delivered. I did not sign for it. They claim with FedEx four weeks later. I just got an email that there's nothing they can do about it so I'm out my anniversary gift/ring and earrings and I'm out my money that I spent on something that I never got. I wouldn't suggest that anybody order anything from this company they treat you like you're a liar a criminal and a thief. My ring doorbell never showed anyone come to my door. FedEx has no proof for picture of a package been left at my door, and obviously their employees can sign or forge. Anybody signature throw a package out of window whatever the case may be and never deliver it and then the customer is just SOL and brilliant earth could care less also. read more

Very disappointed in the service I received at Brilliant Earth. Made an appointment at this location after stopping in because they didn't have most of the pieces I wanted to try on in-store (was looking for a wedding band). I was told by their representatives to make an appointment online and send them a detailed email listing the rings I would like to see and they would call them in and have them ready for me to try on. I booked my appointment and sent a detailed email with all of the specs I was looking for as well as the ring options I wanted to try on. I never received a response. When I arrived and spoke with the representative, it was very clear she had not even seen my email. I had to explicitly ask her to pull it up so we could look at each option I listed. Additionally, they only had about half of the rings I listed and said that the others had "just been sent back to the warehouse" or "had not been called in". I was so frustrated. I took time off work to come in and was hoping to make a decision that day. Instead, I left, booked appointment with Diamonds Direct (recommended by a close friend) and had a FAR better experience there. read more

We took the ring to the store to get sized and the sales associate told us that it was too big to be resized and that he would do an exchange for us and remake the ring. I just wanted the ring to fit so we agreed to his suggestion. We left the ring and he told us it would be ready right after Valentine's Day. A few days later my fiancée got an email saying his order was cancelled. Called customer service and no one answered so he chatted with a "customer service associate" who informed him no rings are eligible for an exchange and you have to pay for a new setting in order to do an exchange. I was disappointed in my visit to Brilliant Earth. I received 2 gifts for Christmas and they included a small free gift. When I returned one item (the lesser priced of the 2 gifts) the store asked for the free gift back. I had dipped below the amount need to receive it by $200. What if I had not brought my freebee back? Would they have charged me for this gift? I even discussed how I was going to come get an item for my daughter in a few months. This was not the decision of the salesperson-she went and asked the manager who said to take back the free gift. We spent $800 on one item~but this was such a weird thing for them to do~we will not be back. read more

Let me also say that we are in our 60's and lost both our prior spouses. This is our second chance at love and life, and we couldn't be happier to have each other. My husband spent over 25,000.00 on my set, and I spent 1000.00 for his band. Yes fellows, it's an unfair world when it comes to marring your love. Before purchasing my engagement ring, we asked if the wedding bands could ultimately be soldered to the engagement ring. We were told, "yes"; however, we were then told "no" when I brought my engagement ring in for the third time after we were married due to one of the prongs continuously catching on my hair and sweaters. My ring is still not fixed. When we first received my husband's ring, we realized it was white gold and not platinum, which we ordered. After wearing his band for only 2 months, the dark "ink" embedded in it began to fall out . When we brought it in, we were told, "You should not wear this when you shower." This would have been great information to have before buying the ring. We would have chosen something else. This also poses a problem since our commitment to each other is to always wear our wedding rings, except if we need to clean them. Finally, after all of this, we were contact by Brilliant Earth to set up a phone call to discuss our issues. We were given a time of 8-10am on October 4th. My husband keep his phone with him all day but never received a call until 6:30pm, which he couldn't answer because he was in a meeting. No message was left by Brilliant Earth. When he tried to call back, he was directed to the general line, so we are ultimately back at square one. You have too many other choices in a jewelry company that hopefully will be more concerned with the quality of their products and their customer service. read more

This business is a total scam. They messed up my ring 3 times and did not give me proper customer service upon my concerns. The prongs got loose the first time, I had diamonds FALL out the second time, and they sized it the wrong size the 3rd time without asking me. I do not recommend anyone buy anything here. I specifically worked with Latoya Miler at the Dallas location on McKinney and I was met with extremely lack of good customer service. They tried to tell me that the loaner they had given me to make up for not having my engagement ring for 3 months was crooked. Then the receipt of my new ring had the word "loose" written on the size. I did not sign off on this, Now I am sitting with a new ring that is the wrong size back to square 1. Just horrible. They said my card would be credited back the $5,617 within 4- 7 business days, ridiculous but I said OK and left. Called on 1-10 asking where my credit is and they said sorry and they would process immediately. Today is 1-18 and still no credit and the manager of the Dallas store has yet to call me back. Kait was charming & knowledgeable and took my name & email just in case inventory was going to be an issue early next month. TLDR: Poor craftsmanship. Terrible QA. False advertising. Untrustworthy business practices. Poor customer support. Lack of communication. No local repair/maintenance support. It took almost 4 months to get my ring in the correct size. Before making my purchase I was assured by the sales staff in the Dallas showroom that resizing would be complimentary within 60 days from pickup, and that for a brand new ring, the setting would actually be remade rather than resized. I didn't know precisely the size needed before proposing so I thought this policy was great in that I could still get a brand new ring made in the perfect size after the proposal. I would later find out that they don't actually follow this policy, they resize the original ring, the practice of which may cause severe defects. After the proposal I brought the ring back to the store to be remade in a smaller size. Since they don't have a jeweler onsite, all repairs/resizing must be shipped off to California which makes for long delays. After a few weeks when I came to pick up the new setting, the center stone was very noticeably crooked. The showroom staff had obviously not inspected the ring for quality assurance. They sent it back to the factory, and after more delays, it was returned to the showroom and I was notified that it was ready for pickup for the 2nd time, but shortly after, before I had returned for pickup I was informed that it had another defect and they had sent it back for yet another repair. During the wait time for the 3rd attempt, it was revealed that they had not in fact followed the policy of remaking the brand new ring in the correct size, but rather, they had tried to resize/repair the same setting twice now, and had failed to do so without causing additional defects. They finally agreed to "remake" the ring per their advertised policy. When I came to pick up the ring for the third time, we discovered they had made it in the wrong size despite confirmation verbally and in writing the size intended. This meant another remake (4th attempt) to finally get it correct. Thankfully this was the last time, making a total of nearly FOUR months to get my ring back. During the process, they granted us a showroom ring (cubic zirconia) on loan. They made me sign an invoice for the cost of this ring, as well as multiple "invoices" for the numerous resizing/repair returns, despite saying in person that there would be no cost. It was unclear and unprofessional to have such a contradictory paper trail. The showroom team and the manufacturing team also contradicted one another on multiple occasions on policies and procedures, and the communication between them is seemingly unreliable considering they were rarely on the same page about the current status or needs of the ring repairs, making it difficult to trust any part of the process or product. Brilliant Earth corporate was also completely unhelpful or unaware of this case when I attempted contacting support on multiple occasions, until I was eventually given a direct contact. During the wait time for the 3rd attempt, the showroom manager offered a complimentary pair of lab diamond stud earrings to compensate for the delays and craftsmanship mistakes, but these were never given. During the wait for the final attempt, we sent a formal request for a refund or store credit for the amount of the setting due to these numerous mistakes. This was out of respect to the Brilliant Earth staff to give them an opportunity to resolve these issues and keep our business before negatively reviewing and/or reporting them. This request was ignored for weeks until finally they gave a meager offer of a tiny discount (about 6%) on a future purchase, as if I would ever purchase from this company again. Do your diligence and read more than the top reviews. These experiences are common with Brilliant Earth. Do not use these people to actual order anything. I ordered my girlfriend's ring from here, paid $250 for a rush order because she was so excited and I was too. Then waited two months during which time their customer service would call and say the order has been delayed. When we asked why they had no idea, so we talked with their manager, and then their manager who still had no idea until a month and a half later finally came back and said they had made a typo on a form and now the diamond we picked out was stuck in customs "indefinitely" so they could not give us any kind of time frame on when we would get it. Just shop at a local store that has everything within the U.S. not a company that has to ship stuff in from overseas with everything going on in the world.
