Just a mediocre experience. I think they were tired and rushing because it was the end of a busy day. I got a gel manicure on my toes and dip on my nails. Great job on the pedicure, very meticulous, however, also very rough and made me bleed in multiple spots. She also only did one coat of glitter when the standard is at least 2. The dip manicure was really just application of a dip base with gel color on top. Not what I was expecting and it turned out very thick and not smooth. AND they only let my nails sit under the UV for max 10 seconds at a time, so I know the gel probably didn't set right. I didn't even get a real manicure either - no cuticle cleanup or moisturizer or anything other than a cut/file and color application. I had to ask for some cuticle oil and lotion at the end. I had an appointment yesterday & got a call on my way that a technician had to leave early & asked if I could come an hour later. I rescheduled for today & showed up to the door locked, blinds closed & no one there. I called. No answer & mailbox is full. So disappointing after hearing good reviews from a neighbor. Won't try again. Found Top Nails & will go back there again. read more

I came here on a whim, when my regular nail salon turned me away because they were *too crowded*... (Even though they only had one customer--But I digress.)I found this nail salon quite by accident as it hidden away. I wasn't sure if they were able to accommodate me, but after only a 10 minute wait... Joe went to work on my nails. He reshaped most of my nails, and then put them to a length that I can still type and look amazing too! Most other nail technicians are very rough, but Joe took his time and my sensitive nailbeds thank him profusely. I didn't walk out bleeding and in pain. I chose a chrome and glitter combo. I will be back to this tucked away little shop and get my pedicure, But I really wanted to give this place the attention it deserves by letting everyone know about it. I loved my nails after! I got a manicure with gel nail polish, and they look absolutely lovely. Ti had taken care of me and she was a joy, and easy to talk with. She helped me figure out a color for myself after accidentally choosing a neon pink. My grandmother was taken care of by Joe (I believe was his name; he's one of the owners) and he was very friendly towards her. They were a bit understaffed, since many people came and went but they took care of everyone. My only complaint was that they would leave to take care of another guess and left you kinda hanging but that's what happens during vacation season I guess. It took them over 4 hours to do my pedicure and manicure and my friend full set. The tech missed steps in the pedicure I picked and shooed away the young man who tried explaining to her she missed a step. She made my toe and fingers bleed. There are bubbles in my nails, there's more powder under my nail than on it mixed with glue and I don't know what else. Not to mention the 2 ladies arguing with a man over the phone and the same man showing up to the shop standing over the women and making my friend and myself extremely uncomfortable. This place is amazing. I live in Southern MD and will travel all the way here just to get my nails and feet done! I'm a stickler about this stuff so I'm very picky about where I go and who I see. At this place, I can literally see anybody! The entire staff is wonderful. Thankfully my best friend lives in WV but would still travel here regardless. I am so happy that I went to this nail place and it is a gem. Have been twice and extremely happy. They actually make you feel like a Customer! Not like you are on a production line like some salons. And they have SNS or as we call it dip powder and they do a wonderful job. I had Jenny both times and the second time I got both a mani and pedi and that was the best pedi that I have ever had in life , first time my feet actually tingled with joy. Just amazing. Clean salon! Beautiful salon! So many colors to choose from. They even have designs to look at on the nails. Both my sister and I had our nails done for a fill and our nails were terrible from a previous nail salon a week ago! Just a week ago and our nails needed a fill! Says a lot about that salon but we won't be going back I think we may have found our go to for nails! Our nails both look amazing. They feel amazing. The techs took their time on our nails and detail. Also, everything they have is clean. Please always remember a clean shop and clean equipment means a lot. With covid and all the other sickness going around. And with the type of infections that can happen on your nails if the equipment is dirty. I started coming here when they opened and so pleased but it took like 2 hours for a pedicure. I kept coming back because wanted to give them another chance to get quicker. After a year they are now quick but unfortunately never on time. I have had bad polishes from a guy and bad designs as well. When I make an appt- I don't like to wait 20-30 minutes to be seen. If there is no one available to work- then they should say so when I call. I again had to wait after making an appt for 20 min until I asked if anyone was available or I could leave and come back- two people were in the back- eating- tired and hungry were the reasons I was kept waiting.... Not really sure how this place has 5 stars. FIrst of all, they looked at me like I had ten heads when I walked in. I called before and asked if they had time for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. They said yes. I told the woman when I walked in the services I would like. She then questioned me three more times after that. I went over to the sad excuse of a gel polish area to pick my color. There was zero organization. The first three colors I picked up had polish hardened around the bottle and when I opened the bottle, the polish was basically dried up. I finally found a decent one and sat in the pedicure chair. A man did my pedicure. He did not cut my cuticles. When massaging my legs he used barely any effort and did not even touch the bottom of my feet. After applying my gel polish I looked down to see that the color had gone onto my cuticles. Following the polish application, more lotion was applied. An overly excessive amount was applied and it was not soaking into my skin. So he proceeded to wipe off my legs with a towel and then put my legs and feet BACK INTO THE TUB and rinse them completely off? What is the purpose of applying lotion if you're going to rinse the area clean afterwards? I was so frustrated. I originally planned on getting a gel manicure as well, but could not bring myself to stay any longer and allow whatever kind of service they considered to be a "quality manicure" take place. This is not a review meant to bash the nail salon. But if people continue to leave 5 star reviews, people like me will give this spot a try and waste money that could have been spent elsewhere. read more
