She was not. I was so disappointed w/that experience that I put off making another appt. Life happened & an event creeped up on me. I had less than 6 days to get a decent cut. Desperate to get a cut, I walked into Twisted's salon cold. Boy am I glad I did. The receptionist was kind & worked diligently to squeeze me in w/Mykal for a cut on Friday & a color the following Tues. Yey, hair cut for the event! Friday when I arrived for my cut, I was made to feel like a VIP! A very nice young lady gave me a tour of this clean & neat salon. Both clients & employees were extremely friendly. Twisted's staff makes everyone feel so welcome & they are definitely a team. It's not a stuffy or uppity salon but it sure delivers on quality. Let's start with the hair washing. This is the first salon I've been in since moving to the Valley 11yrs ago that thought to provide a footstool when you're getting your hair washed! It makes such a difference for shorter folks like myself. What happened next was most unexpected. The young lady who gave me the tour washed my hair & gave me the most incredible scalp massage. She also offered a complimentary hand massage & paraffin hand dip too. Seriously! No upcharge. Just a great perk & a way to help you relax a bit & feel a bit pampered. And boy did I! Before my hair washing, my stylist, Mykal, asked "What are you having done to that gorgeous hair" I said "Cutting about 6" off" One client said something akin to "but your hair is so thick & gorgeous" and others agreed. But all Mykal said was "Really?" I nodded Yes & said "it's too much for me" He said "Ok! Let's do it!" No hesitation whatsoever. HE TOTALLY GOT IT! I loved that. Once in the chair, Mykal asked all the right questions. He assured me he'll cut off what I want and if I need more taken off after I go home & play with it, he'd be happy to do it on Tuesday when I come back for the color. You know what, I believe him. I think he won't be one bit upset or annoyed with me if I want more taken off. He'll be happy to help a gal get the look she wants so she feels her best! My hair cut & style was great, btw! Twisted Salon & it's staff seem to want you to be happy when you leave. It's so hard to find reasonably priced salons that deliver above & beyond your expectations. Twisted delivers on all fronts!

Somehow, I get a quick manicure but it lasts for more than 2 weeks if I can't make it in for a fill. The pedicure is perfection as well, topped off with a pro foot massage and paraffin wax. She's being charged for every swipe on her end, why not be up front and honest. I really appreciated that! The pedicure was painless but thorough!
