I have found my nail place! Since i moved last year, I've been looking for someone who does a great powder gel. I called at 2 P.M. today asking if I could be fit it and was welcomed with a 3 P.M. appt. By the time he finished with my nails they were fabulous and dry! The last place i went my nails never got to fully set by the time i was leaving and i would mess them up somehow. I really don't like posting negative reviews but in this case I was so disappointed I feel something needs to be said. I came here for a pedicure. I hadn't gotten one in a long time so I was really excited. My feet weren't too bad but it's always nice walking out with baby smooth feet and POPPIN polish. This experience wasn't like that. There seemed to be more dead and flaky skin than before I went in. Flaky skin all on the side of my big toe, I would imagine from the callous remover solution they use because the woman didn't take enough time to thoroughly remove the loosened skin. Cuticles were rough and unsightly. Bottoms of my feet roughed up as well. The leg massage was rushed and only felt good for about half a minute then it was over. I did not feel pampered. The one thing I did love was the polish color. A bright almost fluorescent green. But even that upon closer inspection was sloppily done. I had my feet under the lamp to dry for 15 minutes and then wore sandals out and had lunch with a friend and then drove almost 40 minutes home. When I got there my son was very attracted to the bright polish so he started to touch my big toenail. I thought it would be fine since it had been 2+ hours. I was wrong and he had smudged it. I know it happened then because I watched it happen. This is why I don't get my nails done around here though. Seems like everywhere does about they same quality of work, charges about the same and the techs don't really do much to improve their craft. Just learn enough to get unsuspecting customers in and get their cash. Wish people would take a little more pride in their work and a little more time with their customers so that it would be worthwhile for me to get these services done. read more

I discovered diamond nails a few months ago and I LOVE the skills and effectiveness of the services that they provide. Chloe is great!! You may not be impressed first when you walk into the place, but, the results is what keep brining you back every single time. The owners do a good job in managing their business and employees. The only minor recommendation I have is that they can improve on the clean up (underneath the nails) afterwards so you can truly feel fresh with the new nails. I have been a customer for about a year. For The most part I've been satisfied. Until this last visit. I have been doing Dip's, which are apparently healthier and safer and apparently are supposed to help nails grow have also had the nail tips added. Thus last time I asked if I could go back to my own nails and just have the dip done on my nails. I told them I wanted to cut back on my visits per month. I was told that the treatment should last 4 weeks. I was charged the same amount as I would have had the tips been added. Well the first nail broke after one week. Within the next week 4 more had broken. I contacted them and was told I needed to improve my diet to obtain strong nails. I'm a wellness coach, I eat healthier than most people. I was then told if I wasn't happy they would be fine if I went somewhere else. Gee thanks for your customer service. To make a long story short, this week I found out their so called healthier option is not true at all, as my nails are now so damaged I had to have them completely restored at an actual organic salon. To Diamond it's more about the money than the client, and deceiving people that what they are doing is safe. It is not. Sorry Diamond, I trusted you but you let me down. read more

A friend and I recently had the opportunity to visit Diamond Nails to get pedicures. I could not have asked for a better experience! I called the night before to make the appointments and they were happy to accomodate the time that I wanted. Maria did a wonderful job on my nails, and my friend came away loving her nails too. The salon was very clean and relaxing and provided overall great customer service from beginning to end. The massage chairs are an amazing addition to the experience. Very reasonable price for a great product. Had my first every dip nails done by Chloe and they came out amazing. She is fast and caring and also helped me choose my color as well. I originally had really short brittle nails and ended up getting extensions which turned out really natural. I'm really happy with the results and my nails lasted almost 3 weeks! I used to go to this place for a specific manicurist who has since left. I went in this week without an appointment, and the place was packed. I was all set to leave when the woman told me she could fit me in. I wish I'd left. This was the WORST manicure I've ever had anywhere, and if I'd really wanted to be a jerk, I would have refused to pay for it. The male technician did not really understand anything I said, and a tech next to him had to translate. Clearly, no one understood as my nails were cut/filed way too short. The tech had no idea how to even use a nail file, and that's when I should have just left. As for cuticle work, it was a quick attempt with no attention to detail, and the hand massage was a joke. Then the polish - a disaster. It didn't come down to my cuticle so looked grown out as it was being done, and he used his fingers to wipe up the excess polish which didn't work too well. Every time he screwed up, he just added more polish. Meanwhile, he never made eye contact or spoke to me directly. It took less than 20 mins. for him to complete the manicure, and then he brought me over and just pointed for where I should sit, turned on the dryer, didn't put on the timer, and left. There are signs everywhere saying they want you to pay with cash, NOT credit card. This puts me off. Either take credit cards or don't. The place is dirty and noisy . . . not in the least relaxing. Nothing is sanitized from what I can tell as all the tools I had used on me came from a plastic tool box and were put back in there, as if, after use. I'll never go back here again for anything, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. I agree with whoever said the Board of Health should be notified about this place. It's a disgrace to the industry. read more

I am literally nauseous right now. First of all, the male who did my nails looked like he hadn't washed his hand for 3 days. His nails were long, chipped, and covered in dirt and GOD KNOWS what else. Secondly, there is no way they cleaned their instruments after every manicure. I could see nail dust on the the grinder from the previous person. NOTHING was autoclaved. Thirdly, my Shellac nails are uneven, bubbly, and there is even a HAIR IN THE NAIL POLISH! I can't even get it out! Lastly, the "massage" I got after my nails were dry, was gross and disturbing. The guy CRACKED HIS KNUCKLES USING THE PALM OF MY HAND!! Oh! And! the lady who did my sister's nails was super sassy, rude, and groaned at my sister's requests. There were plenty of other gross and awkward events at this appointment, but I need to go get some fresh air before I throw up. I am seriously disgusted and disappointed with my care, not worth $30. My mom and I got our nails done for the first time today and we both can't get over how much we love them! We both got dip nails and it took about an hour, but it was fairly busy when we went. They do an overall good job whenever I go in. However, they are way more focused on their regulars than all of the other customers in the store. They will talk to the regular customer sitting next to you while they do your nails, which makes it feel like they're doing a chore for you. They also blame nail breakage on how long your acrylics are, and are stubborn/upset about repairing nails that break before two weeks. Sometimes I end up sitting in the chair for close to two hours for a full set of acrylics with shellac polish, which is way too long for me. If you choose to go, watch closely while they apply the nails because they tend to glue them on crooked and/or shape the nails so they don't match or not what you asked for. read more

This is the best nail experience I've had in Madison. We had a reservation for 8 people on a busy Friday, and the time got mixed up: unclear whether it was us or them. Didn't matter: even though we all got there an hour before the time they had on the books, they broke out the wine as we sat outside, and were able to get us in within less than 15 minutes. The service and quality were excellent for all of us. They let us all sit together, and let us sit and chat in the pedi chairs well past the time it took for our nails to dry. This is the most unhygienic nail salon I have ever been to. Their tools are carried around in dusty old tool boxes and look like they have never been disinfected. My technician used a towel that was clearly dirty and covered in little pieces of skin, and the water bowl of water to put my hands in had floating bits of skin or nails. I am so disgusted read more

I choose Diamond Nails because of its great reviews. I was able to walk in and sit down right away. The technician was very nice. But she really cut my finger with the clippers. Totally an accident! BUT I'm very confused how it happened if she was paying attention to where she was cutting. I should have asked if she had experience. The bleeding didn't stop...so there went my time. I was upset because I never take time for myself to get a manicure...and today when I did it blew up in my face. After 5-8 minutes of the technician apologizing and trying to stop the bleeding I put on a bandaid and left. I hope I don't end up with an infection. read more

I went here to get a French nail gel for my cousins wedding and a pedicure. Omg what a NIGHTMARE. First of all, the guy did not speak a lick of English. I understand you are foreign no big deal but how can you do services and not know what I am asking!!! Second, the guy over cured my nails like crazy!! 3 to 4 times!!! It was insane. My nails were RUINED when I tried to get the gel off. My nails were SORE and it took over a month of no polish to recover. That is NOT how gel should be done THEN because he could not speak English at all, I did not understand what this drying device was that he wanted me to put my feet in to dry my toes. He ended up ramming it into my wet nails. Instead of starting over on those nails he just put more paint on them. They were thick and gunky and looked awful! I did not even try to get him to fix it because I knew he wouldn't understand. I had to have my boyfriend fix my toenails and repaint them for me to be in a wedding!! I went in for a shellac manicure and I'm pretty picky but it turned out great. However now, two months later, it will not come off!!! I tried soaking it in acetone, the proper way to remove shellac, and it sat for AN HOUR and they won't budge. So a warning to you all, if they use a drill to remove shellac, it means they are adding something into the polish to make it stay so that there's no possible way to get it off without damaging your nails! Will never come back, who knows what they are putting into the polish. read more

I went here today and loved it. I came in earlier than appointment, but it was okay. I was told to choose my polish color and then come over to the pedicure chair. I was given a bottled water, which was very nice. The massage chair was great and the young man did a very good job on the pedicure. Very relaxing and comfortable. I also got a french manicure as well, the lady was very nice and considerate of my request to go easy on the hand massage because of my arthritis. Not a bit of pain at all. Very good color selection available in regular polish. I might try the shellac polish another time, lots of colors to choose there as well. People were very nice, shop was clean. I got very good service, absolutely no complaint at all. I will go back, as well as would recommend them to others. read more

The pedicures were $30, and came with a long soak, some great products, and a long-lasting finish. Plus, we got to drink wine and stay quite a while! Always very crowded and it can be hard to get an appointment with a specific person unless you plan well in advance. They do play movies and offer wine, which is a nice little perk, but after going there for several years I just can't ignore the negatives anymore. Sometimes nails look great, but other times they just don't, either coming out thick or lumpy or the color is not the same as the sample from which I have chosen, which has happened several times. My biggest issue is if you do have a problem with something, it either isn't dealt with at all, or you are made to feel that it is somehow your fault. Ladies, my experience was absolutely HORRIBLE. I'm not a customer to care & write online reviews but GOLLY this terrible experience has gotten me enraged enough to give a hoot to forewarn you beauties. I should have listened to the bad reviews online instead of making an appointment at Diamond Nails. I gave this nail salon the benefit of the doubt (and under the term of desperation to get my nails done) and called to make an appointment for a 6 p.m. acrylic nail job. Dan picked up and he said that I could come in even though they close at 7 p.m. I trusted Dan in making the right decision of taking me in at 6 though I would not have minded at all to make the appointment for the following day. Long story short Dan rushed through the appointment and did a crummy job! If you can't do a good job then PLEASE spare the customer by saying no and scheduling it for a more proper time/date. The very next day I called them to fix my nails because the acrylic was already lifting, creating bubbles which equals FUNGUS-prone. Hym did my nails and he did a heck of a lot better job than Dan because he kept asking me if this or that was okay with me. I am paying for a service so yes, I do want to be involved with what happens to my body. Dan kept looking over and trying to talk to Hym, then pulled Hym to the back of the room talking about me. How dare Dan be so rude! Here's the punch: Dan tried to hustle me by saying that I had to pay $45 for my nail service! I told him NO because my nail job with him two days ago was only $35 and I deserve the fix for free, if not for a discount. I was left having to pay $25 for a service that was to fix a poorly done nail job freshly done less than 2 days prior. I don't care how many nice things Dan said to me while doing my nails---I did NOT pay for nice words, but for a nice nail job. That need was clearly not met. Ladies, if you're insisting on going here then go at your own risk. It's your money, your time, but damn did I waste both of that! I got cheated with my money and service. They are always pleasant and professional, quite even when Dan is sharing a joke so one can hear themselves think without hearing everyone else banter in another language, have children screaming about or blaring tv or radio. Today I tried to get the hot stone massage pedicure but we switched it to a regular pedicure half way through because the wax was way too hot for me. While the interior was nice, it felt very much like a factory. There are around 20 manicure stations and 18 pedicure chairs, so if you're looking for a relaxing place to have your nails done this is not it (it was rather noisy with so many people there). The pedicure was fine, but for such a basic pedicure I found it to be a bit pricey ($33). Oh boy! I have NEVER been in a situation like this! Picture this: 6:30 pm (I asked for a late appt), 20 women in the salon for a pedicure, drinking wine, beer, and wine coolers. The women were not social distancing, very loud (at times shouting to one another), a crying baby being passed around, and as IF that isn't enough, one of the women starts talking to another about how her (husband's? Some male in her life) had FOOT FUNGUS! How long it took to get rid of, what he had to do, how gross it looked. I didn't even get to the nail paint. Said NOPE! and got up to leave. The technician was great, skilled, apologetic. The manager was kind while listening and didn't charge me for my unintentionally-partial pedicure. I told him it was like a tavern, with loud women, drinking, gathering closely, etc. The technician had to get up at one point and had to do the "dance" to avoid people. I was shocked. If you're going to have 20+ people in a nail salon, drinking and not being respectful of others coming in for services, shut it down for two hours and charge the bridal party a fee to rent the place out. Poor business decision; will not return. Horrible impression. read more

I went yesterday and had a wonderful pedicure with John. The foot massage was amazing and my toes look great. My manicure was rushed, though, and there was no care of the hands at all! I was shocked. No pushing back of cuticles or soaking, or hand massage. If this was an optional service, I wish I'd been told because I would have paid extra for it. I work with my hands, and I expected at least minimal work on my calluses and getting rid of my cuticles BEFORE polish. I don't think I will go back, unless it is for a pedicure. read more

I have been going here since they opened. It has really gone downhill. It is dirty, crowded and Dan the owner has become extremely rude. I have referred so many people there and was treated like dirt the last time I was in. Last week I had an appt with a specific person but when I got there Dan had me with someone I had never gone to. I didn't say anything at the time but she did a horrible job. On top of that, I was always told they don't charge to "fix" a broken nail in between visits. Then at the end of my appointment Dan added a $12 charge to fix 2 nails during my manicure! To go from bad to worse, the "fixed" nails are all bumpy. I asked when he started to charge and he said "we always have but you just don't pay". I was outraged (not to mention embarrassed) that he would lie about me, especially in front of customers, I have NEVER not paid for a service and have always given a 20% tip. My daughter was there the day before me for a broken nail and was told "no charge". I will never go back. All of the people I have referred will not be going back either. TERRIBLE BUSINESS. To them it must be all about the $$. They just lost a big chunk of business. read more
