I have been here several times and all were average. Today was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. my tech seemed either sick or maybe hung over not sure. I asked him before we started if he could do a very, very simple heart outline on one of my nails he said yes he threw a menu on my lap and walked away for several came back, walked away again. Then asked which pedicure I wanted, I told him I didn't really care. I was just there for a good foot massage. And reiterated that I was there alone for the massage. The pedicure over an hour and maybe 10 minutes of that was any type of "massage ". I keep my nails trimmed and cleaned regularly, like I said I was there for the massage. He would stuck on one nail or two on each foot for 10 minutes or so, smaller, toenails, previously trimmed filed, absolutely no ingrowns, nothing. After that, he "massaged "my calves. I say that lightly it was just up and down movements repeatedly. Can you put some towels which I'm assuming we're supposed to be warm but they were cold. On my legs. Then he got the hot stones which were scolding and he proceeded to press those into my calves with the same repeated up and down motion. I don't even think he actually massaged or rubbed my feet. acrylic was also awful. He took a very long time trying to shape them. And they still ended up looking like. I have acrylic leftover product stuck to the underside of my nails on half my nails. He could not do outline of the heart I requested, and kept trying and applying more polish to retrace the original attempt. it looked terrible, so I asked if he could just fill in the that would look better. entire design and tried to start a new one. I stopped him and showed him even more simple heart outline. He was happy that I changed it thinking it would be easier I'm assuming. Even worse, my daughter could outline a heart better than this. I still paid in full and tipped him. But I will absolutely never be back, and make sure to steer any of my friends away from this place. read more

Do not go here. So many options on the east side of Madison and will never go back to this one. I'm getting engagement photos done this weekend and my thumb is not shaped correctly nor is the paint on my nails. Even made me bleed. Waited 25 minutes even though I made an appointment. Bella was super rough on my fingers. She kept trying to turn my fingers and it almost felt like she was trying to twist my fingers instead. I know it can be difficult with people who aren't moving their fingers your way for an easier job but I'm constantly watching them to make sure I CAN make their job easier. Not just that but she kept talking and looking around while filing and drilling my acrylic down. That's not safe at all!! I felt so uneasy the whole time. And to top this off, she left gel on my fingers.. I came a couple weeks ago to get a full set by Lin and she was amazing!! I will come again for Lin but not for Bella. read more

Discrimination After being seating in a pedicure chair , getting my water to a desirable temperature and telling my nail tech the type of pedicure and what color I wanted I was left for about an hour while she began to service someone else. It wasn't until another nail tech approached me and said they would not "feel comfortable" servicing me. I asked why and she told me a manager would be with me soon. After another 30 mins a manager ask that I removed feet from the pedicure bowl that I had been in for nearly 2 hours and leave their establishment. When I found 007 nails and pictures of Vinh Lam's work, I called and set an appointment with him. I was honestly in disbelief with his dedication to every detail of the nail. I went to this place at 1230 which was my appointment time! First off they are not following covid policy as to the person sitting next to me was not 6 feet away they had every booth occupied. As well as the pedicure stations. Next the person who was supposed to do my nails left me sitting at the booth and left to finish his client before over getting a pedicure I was getting a fill. A man came amd sat down and spent 5 minutes on one nail drilling polish off my acrylic nail. And cut me several times he definitely did not know what he was doing and I asked him to stop he said he didn't have a license and just helps whem it gets to busy read more

I think 007 Nails does a great job. I've gotten shellac nails from 007 Nails several times in advance of big events -- specifically before a Christmas party, a trip to Italy and a birthday party. I've been very happy with the results every time. Billy as well as several other nail techs have done my nails, and they've all done good work. The salon itself is clean and even has new furniture as of 2016. 007 Nails is very accommodating with walk-ins and usually finishes the entire shellac manicure in about 30 minutes. If I could give 0 stars for this location I would. I came in on a week night for a walk-in regular manicure. They were busy at the time and asked me to come back in 40 minutes. I agreed and they put my name down in the appointment book. I came back 10 minutes before my appointment to pick a color and one of the employees came over and told me they could shape my nails and add color if they do it quickly. From there, the employee proceed to file and shape my nails while I was still in the waiting area. She finished in under 2 minutes. After a couple minutes she asked me to come back to a chair and she proceeded with the remainder of my manicure. She rushed through my cuticles, the massage and worst of all, the polish. All and all, my manicure took about 10 minutes- I spent more time waiting for my nails to dry. The end result was a sloppy manicure, including a significant amount of bubbles on my nails and terrible service. I wish they had told me they couldn't fit me in rather than try to fit me in to turn around a quick sale. Needless to say, I will not be returning to 007. I recommend that their customers go elsewhere. read more

They put 5 coats of polish on my nails and made them incredibly thick. When I told them no more I was scolded at. They also filled my nails down so much that my nail beds were all red. I went here for the first time today. I have only had 2 other manicures in my life, but this was a rough manicure! I was a walk-in, but they were able to get me in after 20 minutes, which I thought was awesome because they seemed very busy. They werent helpful at all with picking a color, and seemed annoyed when anyone asked for help. About 3 mins into my manicure, a woman loudly proclaimed that she wasnt going to pay for her pedicure bc it was the worst pedicure she had ever had. Im not sure if her pedicure warranted the scene she made, or the fact that she walked out without paying, as i didnt see them, but afterwards you could feel the stress throughout the entire salon. It was the beginning of my mani and after the incident the guy doing my nails was noticeably more rough. My cuticles are in pain and he definitely over trimmed in multiple places. **I would have given a better rating bc the polish is great and obviously the situation is what led to him being so rough, but the main reasons i wont go back: -The emery board had obviously been used numerous times before and was used again on my friend who went after me. -The drummel tool was also not changed or cleaned from person to person. -I had a shellac manicure and he didnt believe me when i said i had gone under the light since the last coat. At first i thought it was a joke, but he kept questioning me about it. Why would i lie, when all that would come of it is a shitty manicure??!?! I've had better manicures and I've had worse. The salon was clean and tidy, and the nail techs were nice. My nail tech listened to what I wanted and didn't bother with the small talk ( something I enjoyed ). However, there were a few things I found a little odd. One being that I had a bit of nail polish on from my last manicure and the tech didn't take it off, just painted right over it. Also, my cuticles were never cut or moisturized, unlike every other salon I've been to. I'll probably be back if I'm ever in the area again, but I won't go out of my way to go. read more

After reading my review on Feb 18th of this year this, the owner of 007 Nails reached out to me requesting that myself and my partner return, at no charge to us. They wanted to compensate us for our negative experience while hopefully leaving a renewed perception. 1st off, let me say that I was impressed that the owner reached out to us...many businesses would have written us off as a lost cause. I mean, let's be honest, customer retention isn't what it used to be...so I was immediately wanting to give them a second chance given they took the time to contact me, didn't come up with any lame excuses, and apologized profusely. We made appointments and upon our return we were greeted with hugs (multiple hugs) and apologies....the sincere kind (and yes, there is a difference). Our service was great, the music was relaxing, and the pedicure took a reasonable length of time. A total reversal from our last experience! We'll certainly come back as we are small business supporters and appreciate a business that is willing acknowledge and correct a mishap! read more

With my nail tech out of commission I had to try new places. On the recommendations of others I tried 007. They do ombre nails which my last place did not so I was excited and I was given Ving to do my nails. If I were to rate him I would give him 5 stars. Excellent job and nails looked beautiful however they ended up being too long. I typically like mine on the longer side but my first day back at work it was apparent when I couldn't type that I needed them shorter. I called in to see what I had to do to get him to shorten them. I was told they don't do appt for that and just to come in. I ran there on my lunch from work and got in almost right away but tech was extremely rough and I told her how much I wanted off but she took almost triple that off of them. They are so short you almost cant see the ombre that I paid extra for. She also seemed to have a had hard time getting my thumbs straight and those are even shorter as everything else and were still crooked when I left. Ended up going home and fixing them myself. Overall I would give them a 5 if just rating Ving alone. read more

I went to 007 nails in October 2017. This was my first time at 007. I purchased a pedicure and a full set. My pedicure was completed rather fast. There was no massaging of the ankles and legs that I was used to. It was very close to closing so I didn't expect the full treatment. Still I felt satisfied with the final result. I went back on Saturday March 9 2018. My daughter in law made reservations for 2:45 PM. We scheduled for a manicure and pedicure for me and a nail removal and full set for her. Once we arrived at 007 we were asked to sit down and they assured us they would be right with us. As we waited we looked though their nail display (on key rings) to choose our design. We made a couple of choices and continued to wait. After about 10 minutes of waiting a couple walked in. They were greeted and seated next to us. After 2 or 3 minutes a female worker walked to up to all of us and asked again what we wanted after the couple replied. My DIL and I again repeated what we wanted and I reiterated that we have an appointment. A male worker then walked up and asked the couple to follow him. He seated the couple in the pedicure chairs and got them started. I repeated again we have an appointment. After about another 5 minutes he walked back up to us and said he would start with my daughter in law first. My DIL started showing him the nails she wanted and he repeatedly stated no no. I then asked if I could have shellac with a specific design to which he replied no. The man then began to say yes we can do that then he would immediately say no again. I informed him that I did not understand and that he was being confusing. He just continued to smile and say yes then no then he walked away. After about 5 minutes my DIL had been sitting waiting for him. He came back and asked me to sit in the pedicure chair, there was no water or anything ready so I stood and waited for him to prepare the sink. The man place a plastic bag inside of the foot sink which had white soap scum all around it. He then and ran about 2 cups of water inside the bag and walked away. There wasn't enough water to push the bag down into the water. I continued to stand then a woman worker walked up and told me to go ahead and sit down and put my feet in. I asked her if it was ready and she said yes. Now mind you the couple that walked in were getting a pedicure as well. They had the jets going and were relaxing. I said to the woman we're the jets for me and were is the solution/ salts etc etc for the pedicure. The woman didn't respond and just walked away. I then loudly stated that I have a scheduled appointment and this is not a proper pedicure I don't have the jets or anything. I felt myself getting very angry I looked over to my DIL (who was still waiting for the man to come back and start on her nails) I told her I was leaving. I left out and my DIL stayed in for a few more minutes then came to the car as well. This was blatant disrespect and disregard for a paying customer. There was absolutely no accountability for customer service or policy/rules. Never mind color this was just bad business! I will never spend my money with this place again and I will tell everyone I know of my experience. Our dollar is MIGHTY & so is my MOUTH!! I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS LENGTHY REVIEW BUT I WANTED TO SHARE THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. read more

However, the nails I needed up with wasn't entirely what I asked for. I want ombré nails and it's like a cut off instead of blending down. I showed her examples of what I wanted. Just moved to Madison and have been looking for a good nail salon, this place was great and the nail tech was awesome.

My nails look horrible.. she rushed through the whole thing even though I had an appointment..she was also talking to the costumer next to me about how she was trying to hurry up so she could go home because she was supposed to have the day off. PLUS she over charged me. I called back to double check and she told me a completely different amount over the phone. I will never go back again. I still tipped accordingly it the more I look at my nails the angrier I get. read more
